Listen to the story...
The Great Darkness loomed over the planets and the heroes came united to vanquish them once and for all. However, Masters of the Great Darkness from each planet plotted to use as much of their own powers to create a vortex--a portal where these four worlds would be connected into one. It has yet to be revealed the reasons behind this devious plan--but the Masters knew the Great Darkness would consume this newly connected world with none of the Heroes of the Light in the way.

What none of the Masters knew, however, by creating this new vortex and world--their own world was thrown into a paradox. Thus creating--and soon living--into a whole new world where things may have taken a turn for the worse...

...Now the Heroes of the Light and the Masters of the Great Darkness have been thrown into a new world where nothing looked the same and yet some locations they would recall and recollect from their home planet. This, for all, will be a greater battle as now they will need to find out if they can go back to their home planet or call this newly created one home. Finding old and new allies--even old and new foes--each person must band together and fight the greatest battle and to extinguish the Light or the Great Darkness once and for all.

Where are the Heroes and Masters now?

The Heroes of the Light would find themselves on a beach upon Besaid Island--luckily not too far from the village of Besaid. The Heroes do not recollect what happened between the Worlds merging and waking up; let alone not recollecting where they are or anyone else*. What to do and where to go now--no, better question. How to get back home?

* The Heroes will know locations/citizens from their own planet; but none from the others.

The Masters of the Great Darkness would find themselves in an area or within called the Temple of the Ancients. Fragments and shards of memories of fellow Masters* and what had happen would surface their minds; but not one of them would remember what truly happened. Even though their magic is no longer able to be tapped; Materia take their stead.

* The Masters will know locations/citizens from their own planet, have vague familiarity with fellow Masters; but none from the other planets.

The Golden Rule Please follow the guidelines, rules, and ToS under GaiaOnline. We should all know this by now, yeah?

1. Please post as often as possible. We all understand Life Outside the Keyboard takes higher priority; but if you if it is too much/wish to leave, please inform me so I could make arrangements/place the character back into the Life-Stream.
2. Not a single character in this Roleplay has the ability to have free-range magic. There is a Materia system implemented for this reason. That being said...
3. Each character has a limit of EIGHT Materia. All Summon Materia is strictly prohibited. You may, however, sell/buy/trade Materia with the NPC Shops or even with other characters.
4. Limit Breaks/Limit Attacks/Trance/Overdrives are completely acceptable. However! Just like in the video games--it takes time (or a REALLY-SERIOUSLY emotional moment) to become activated.
5. Please be respectful to your fellow writers. They may be writing on behalf of your foe; but the writer him/herself is not your nemesis.
6. Try to write at least one full paragraph (five-six complete sentences) per post. More is always great; but give something so your writing partners don't pull teeth. One-Liners are a waste of time and a waste of post; please refrain from doing so.
7. Profanity? Hooray! Violence? Hooray! Romance? Hooray! Please use all of these in moderation. In a battle? Don't become out-right gore-fest. Snogging and Hugging time? Fade-To-Black or write it outside GaiaOnline--I do not want to be shut down. This Roleplay embraces and encourages "Non-Canon" romance as well.

9. For the love of anything, just do not God-Mod. Not even Sephiroth is all-powerful. So knock it down from eleven to seven.
10. Goes without saying--but it's going to--no auto-hits and no auto-dodge. Make the fights (be it with another character or a Monster) seem realish.
11. Attached to directly above. Only you can control your own characters. Unless you have gained permission from the Writer within the OoC thread, please refrain from being a Master Puppeteer.
12. For now, only one character per writer. After I see some progression with your posts; then we will discuss about taking on multiple characters. Giving time for other writers out there to get their first choice as well.
13. PM CaptainTapole or Serenity Abyss a bit about your character and possibly a paragraph or two worth of a Roleplay sample while being him/her. This is a way to not only reserve the character in question; but to make sure you can indeed write on behalf of the character.
14. One character per post. Simple enough, yeah?
15. This RP was to intentionally have--and only have--the universes from Final Fantasy VII - X-2.
16. Unfortunately, no. OCs are not acceptable in this Roleplay. There is enough characters in the Canon as it is.
17. If you are reading these rules, please place the following Emoticon somewhere in the PM...
18. Once accepted, please post within 48 Hours. I will hunt you down if you don't. After an additional 48 Hours, I will delete you from the rosters. Also, do not just post once and disappear for a week. If you can PM CaptainTapole or Serenity Abyss before hand to avoid trouble.
19. Have you been a good reader? Send your Reserve/Sample PM to CaptainTapole or Serenity Abyss with a title hidden within the rules. HINT Find a word done in this colour.
