❙❚ APPEARANCE — ɪᴍᴀɢᴇ.
Pale, pallid skin and grey eyes. His hair is a light chestnut brown, almost bordering on strawberry blond. 34 is scrawny and dangerously underweight with a skin-and-bones frame. He has a barcode tattoo with his identification number tattooed onto his right hipbone in addition to numerous surgical incision scars.

❙❚ PERSONA —
— SICKLY ❙❚ 34 is not a strong man. He is malnourished, underweight, disabled, and chronically ill. Strenuous exercise causes him to wheeze, his skin bruises like fruit, and if there isn't enough money to afford medicine for the week, he slips into withdrawal.
— CURIOUS ❙❚ After growing up inside an over-glorified fishbowl, 34 wants to know more about the world around him. Flowers, trees, and nature are his favorite things to explore, but he's also interested in stray animals or brightly lit colorful objects. Essentially, things that any child would run after in a crowd.
— EMPATHETIC ❙❚ Seeing others in pain ignites something in 34's memories that makes him want to reach out and help, even if he doesn't know how. Having lived his entire childhood and most of adolesence in pain and discomfort, seeing anyone else go through similar circumstances makes 34 ache with frission and do what he can to console someone.
— WARY ❙❚ 34 is reluctant to adjust to change around him. New things, especially new, unfamiliar people, make him uncomfortable and anxious. He's the type of person to hide behind someone else like a shy child hides behind the legs of their parent. When no one nearby is available for him to "latch onto" so to speak, 34 proceeds through situations with a great deal of apprehension.

❙❚ HISTORY —
Some people recover from a traumatic, abusive past and come out stronger, battle-hardened and tough. 34 is not one of those people. He is a weak and fragile boy, left developmentally disabled from a lack of proper education or socialization. He was born in Academy hands, raised in a research center (not the new facility, but a smaller one) to prepare for the arrival of Kaline back when the AI was still in early stages of theoretical development. Part of a set of identical clones, 34 was stripped of his humanity and treated like an object at the lab. His name became his identification number, and he became accustomed to a life of experiments, tests, and sedatives.

He was supposed to be killed in the blast that knocked out Old Town, but certain circumstances prevented his death. He now lives in a New Town slum, living in a one-room apartment with four other people. He's found a sort of family here, the people having taken him in and offering him protection and shelter. He gets sick far too easily and, as a result, stays inside most of the time, coddled and cared for by those he lives with. 34 wants to be able to get out and explore beyond these four walls, and even though he's escaped from the facility, being cramped in a one room doesn't help alleviate the feeling of remaining trapped.

It is important to note that 34 is developmentally and physically disabled due to his abuse and lack of socialization at the lab. He is completely illiterate and cannot speak well, if at all. His mental state is likely that of a ten-year-old. Despite this, he isn't dumb and knows when things get out of hand.

❙❚ LIKES —
— FLOWERS ❙❚ The fresh smell and bright colors of naturally-occurring flora were one of the first things that 34 saw in the outside world. Plants and blooms calm him down and keep him down to earth, so to speak.
— ANTISEPTIC ❙❚ Antiseptic reminds him of the smell of cleanliness, of sterile safety. Clean things have a tendency to not hurt as much in the long run.
— JELLO ❙❚ Gelatin is a light at the end of the tunnel for him in terms of flavor. It's brightly colored, wobbly, and sweet. He just can't get enough of it.

❙❚ DISLIKES —
— TUBES ❙❚ Tubes crawl into his skin and through his nose and mouth and invade places that they don't belong. 34 doesn't like tubes.
— SPEAKING ❙❚ Just because he tries his best doesn't mean that he likes to do it, and will default to nonverbal communication as much as he can.

❙❚ STRENGTHS —
— PERSERVERENCE ❙❚ 34 has been to hell and back, but he has brought himself back from the brink of death everytime and maintained a will to live. It won't stop now. He will not lay down and die idly.

❙❚ WEAKNESSES —
— PHYSICALITY ❙❚ Malnourished, underweight, and chronically ill, 34 is not a healthy boy. He's delicate, like glass, and can easily be injured if out on his own.
— COMMUNICATION ❙❚ Speaking is not his strong suit, so trying to convey what he's experiencing is difficult and frustrating for 34. His vocabulary is extremely limited, and can only understand short, simple sentences or commands. Sharp consonant sounds are difficult for him to make, so his words are often slurred and stuttered, rounded off and juvenile sounding. As a result, he's difficult to understand, and the inability to have others know what he's trying to say is infuriating.

❙❚ FEARS —
— INTIMACY ❙❚ At the research lab, 34 was a victim of an isolated case of sexual assault. The incident left him catatonic and unresponsive for nearly a month, and any sensual advances directed towards him cause 34 to erupt into panic.
— NEW PEOPLE ❙❚ To 34, anyone new is a potential threat. He doesn't know who they are, ergo they are liable to hurt or injure him. He acts like a cornered cat around anyone he isn't familiar with.
— ABANDONMENT ❙❚ At the lab, 34 was not treated as a person. He was merely a number, a tool used to collect data, and his handlers reflected that in the way they acted around him. Now that 34 is surrounded by people that genuinely care for him, the prospect of going back to isolation terrifies him more than anything.

❙❚ AMBITIONS —
— LITERACY ❙❚ Although 34 has made no forthright efforts to learn how to read and write as of yet, it's something that he hopes he'll be able to do some day. He's tired of having those around him read out loud simple things like signs or posters.
— INDEPENDENCE ❙❚ He's always needed some sort of caretaker to be able to do even the most everyday of tasks. 34 occasionally feels guilty that he's unable to do things for himself, and strives to be able to one day live entirely on his own.
— HEALTH ❙❚ 34 is very, very sick, and he's tired of the perpetual fatigue and chronic pain.
