Personality time

Shun is a cold and extremely powerful warrior whose sole reason for being is to hone his fighting skills by battling and destroying strong foes. He rarely displays any sign of emotions, aside from occasional bursts of anger, and rarely smiles. He takes his training very seriously and deals brutally with those who dare interrupt him Occasionally, he likes to test himself against worthy rivals.
In line with his martial arts philosophy, Shun also believes in a certain principle of self-worth. Specifically, Shun despises hubris (i.e. a perceived excess of self-worth), foolish behavior, and those who rely on means other than their fists to fight or gain power (both of which would indicate a lack of the same) He is also somewhat nihilistic by principle, as his search for worthy opponents often includes someone who would be able to kill him.

Shun has no use for the immense wealth he has gathered from slaying other players. Although he' has no real clue how much he has, if one were to gather all of the rare items and money he has in the game the total would be astounding. As Shun has no real desire for money in game he tends to leave huge amounts of it at the foot of a newbie or someone struggling as he feels that thanks to his money they may soon one day be worthy enough to fight him. Shun has had a tumultuous relationship with the population of Urilia has he is seen constantly donating while also engaging in fights to the death. Due to this some people welcome him in with open arms while others stare at him with contempt.

There are two things everyone should know; the first is that Shun will never take an innocent life, and the lives he has taken were through a fair, and honorable battle. The second tidbit of information is his disregard for his status as a PKer, and will usually ignore people making snide comments.

Shun is a Monk in game.

For the truly exemplary, martial skill transcends the battlefield—it is a lifestyle, a doctrine, a state of mind. These warrior-artists search out methods of battle beyond swords and shields, finding weapons within themselves just as capable of crippling or killing as any blade. These monks (so called since they adhere to ancient philosophies and strict martial disciplines) elevate their bodies to become weapons of war, from battle-minded ascetics to self-taught brawlers. Monks tread the path of discipline, and those with the will to endure that path discover within themselves not what they are, but what they are meant to be.

The only weapon Shun uses are his fists and legs. Many people tend to view Monks as a melee support but Shun, from an early point in the game, built his character away from the supporting role towards a more Tank DPS. Shun has developed a devastating Tank/DPS/Debuff character accentuated by his own Martial Arts experience.

A Monk's biggest weakness are people who manage to outrange him. Whether they're Mages or Archers, as long as Shun has to waste time getting to them they are at advantage. He has always had trouble closing in the gap against ranged characters and has yet come up with a smart, and clear strategy to-do so.
Whereas Shun's personal weakness is more emotional. If one manages to break through the thick emotional outershell of his, odds are he will go berserk. Now when he goes berserk he doesn't really think much and that is where people can shut him down. This is something he doesn't realize he does nor is there much he can do to stop it as it is an affect of his psyche breaking.

Skills
Mind: Usually seen before a battle, the Monk takes a second to meditate honing it's Ki for the fight. (Not using meditate before the fight as a monk is usually seen as BM)

Snake: Shun relaxes his muscles making him able to move at a much faster pace than normal, and also becomes extremely flexible.

Barrage: Takes a deep breath and unloads a fury of punches capable of ripping through steel if aimed at a single place.

Paralyzing Palm: A loaded attack which, if fully loaded, stuns the person hit for a few seconds; if not fully loaded only cripples the movement speed.

Pure Body: The Monk is resistant to any and all poisons.

Diamond Body: Fortifies his body and takes 80% reduced damage from blunt weapons and from melee weapons.

One Finger Stab: Self explanatory; instead of a fist, Shun attacks with this pointed fingers in order to gain faster attack speed.

Iron Mountain: A two fist punch that delivers considerable knockback.

Whirlwind: Shun delivers a powerful uppercut, capable of letting him get a good 8ft of air if timed correctly.

Specials
Moeru kutsū: A singular, flame covered punch. If in Oni Status, Moeru Kutsu has a DOT.
Rōdo sa reta kikku: 3 devastating kicks which if hit in full sequence leaves the opponent with a debuff making him/her take 65% more damage.
Oni sō kōgeki: Shun enters an immovable stance for 3 seconds in which at the end of the cast he emerges as an Oni(or demon).
As an Oni, Shun gains extra damage, takes reduced damage and gains a new ability*
*Tengoku no himei: His only non-melee ability which when cast makes Shun lose his Oni Status but heals him for all the damage he dealt during it was active.

Let's get deeper.
✔ Shun likes very little things, mainly stemming from his father's overly ridged training regime he had Shun on. As a little boy he always loved petting the local dogs, and would one day wish he had one of his one. Sadly that has still not happened but he waits. Another thing Shun would always secretly indulge on were sweets, usually given to him by the pitiful mothers who spoke so sweetly to him it made him sick. When not training vigorously, Shun spent his time thiking about his life or reading about his life, although technically he read "Chinese Historicals" but one and the same.

✖ Shun dislikes his father mainly due to the way he governed his childhood, and how very few good times even existed back then. As a young boy his father would play cruel tricks on him, and Shun being such a small boy would fall for them. Over time he started to despise naivety and what it did to people, and this leads to his disdain for arrogance. Most arrogant people are naive in thinking they are the best, and growing up Shun dealt with a lot of martial artists like that as well. But hands down the thing he hates the most is what happened to him; the fact that his first time ever playing a video game caused him to lose his life. It made him feel like his father had the last laugh as he always used to say "Once you play one of those video games you'll never be able to leave it."

Tell me your history.

Shunsuki Utsumi was born to Master Utsumi a Chinese martial arts expert who belonged to Wing Chun. Growing up he had a loving mother who managed to keep Shun away from his father's school, at least until she contracted Bronchitis and died when he was five. From that day on his father was merciless in his parenting, it ranged from refusing to let him eat until he did his full training regime or keeping Shun from school and forcing him to tend to the dojo while his father got drunk. After a while of this abusive parenting his father decided to introduce him to his Martial Arts school and began training him there.
Ten years later Shunsuki Utsumi was a National Champion in Wing Chun, but this didn't stop his father. He pushed for Shun to join and defeat other schools so as to demonstrate how much better Wing Chun was. All this did was alienate Shun from potential friends and caused him to be hated by many kids and their Masters. When he turned 18 he manged to scrounge up enough money to go to America to study Biological Chemistry. While there he managed to get a job at a local Kung Fu studio at a strip mall. At this run down "Dojo," Shun basically sold his heritage for $150 bucks a week.

In order to make ends meet, Shun one day decided to join underground fights. Oddly enough the person who connected him to the fighting ring was the owner of the Dojo he worked at. He spent the next few weeks participating in fights. Not surprisingly many american fighters were not used to a real martial art stance and were easily defeated as they were no match for a real fighter. In the two short weeks he spent fighting he made over 10,000 dollars. Shun had a stint with depression and when he overheard the students talking bout video games, he decided he need to indulge himself. He left work one night and walked straight into "Video Game Stop," the video game store right next door. In an hour he spent over 600 dollars and went home fairly happy.

One day while closing up shop he looked into the video game store next door and saw an amazingly hyped commercial announcing a new game by the name of Urilia Online. He bought the VR system and the game for it almost immediately. Shun almost decided on the Barbarian class but decided that the Monk class seemed interesting and relatable, to some extent, so he went with it. His first time logging in would soon be his last, and two months into being stuck in the game broke something in him. This emotional break led to Shun's personality being incredibly deranged, no longer seeing himself as a real human being but rather as an unkillable Boss. Shun spent a lot of his time training, both through the means of the game and exploiting his own advantage of being an expert of martial arts. Many foolish people attempt to kill Shun time and time again, hoping to find an incredibly rare weapon but all they find are the end to their lives in both Urilia and the real world .
