OK so after reviewing my wishlist and watching some trailers here is the following comprehensive list of spooky games corn is interested in:

The Last Door: low res point and click about a dude with a mysterious past, and maybe there's a cult involved, there's a room full of crows at some point which is pretty cool

White Night: A dude gets lost and hides in a mansion for the night. Predictably, this was 1000000% the wrong decision to make. The game's in black and white and you gotta make light to navigate, and possibly also to survive? And also some messed up stuff probably went down in this mansion. Surprisingly, not a point and click.

Year Walk: The protagonist wants to know if their love interest will ever love them back, and so goes on what is called a year walk, to try and pick up some portents on new years eve. What they pick up are, I dunno I haven't played it, probably a bunch of weird items, like ya do in point and clicks, and also encountered some Swedish folklore of the monster variety.

Pony Island: this is not a game about ponies. It's a game about a game about ponies that is PROBABLY possessed by the devil. You gotta beat the game before it beats you.

Masochisia: a boy finds out he's going to become a sociopath and tries to change his fate. I don't know how it ends I do know some messed up stuff happens in the middle.

Oxenfree: some kids hike around an island exploring old ruins. They bring a radio with them because, apparently, if you frequency surf out in the hills, sometimes you pick up radio stations that don't exist. This is not a good thing. Also you can choose your dialogue options from cute word balloons and that's pretty neat.

Calendula: another game about trying to play a game, except this one's about a game that does not want to be played. Interface screws and spooky atmosphere forever.

Rusty Lake Hotel: some classy furries are gonna have a week-long party at a hotel on a lake and you're probably going to kill them. Or they're already dead. Or, something a lot more vague. Rusty Lake gets kinda weird with their games. (Rusty Lake is also the name of the game company.)

Decay - The Mare: Rehab turns out to be a living nightmare in a much more terrifyingly literal way than that phrase usually means irl.

Fran Bow: A young girl witnesses her parents' death and runs away into the woods with her cat, Mr. Midnight. Then she wakes up at an asylum, sans cat, and quickly decides the best course of action is to escape, find her missing cat, and go live with her only surviving relative, an aunt. She is also coping with an unspecified-in-the-game-description mental illness, which is used as a gameplay mechanic, so I'm not sure if I'm 100% behind that, but it looks like a fun game.

The Vanishing of Ethan Carter: A boy sends a letter to you, a detective, asking for help, but goes missing before you can get there. You talk to ghosts to find out why. There's a cult involved. It gets complicated.

MANY GAMES. Some very silly descriptions. They all look like some good fun.

Also who else is hype as hECK about death stranding

Pony Island sounds amazing.

Yeah, it looks Pretty Cool™. I'll be glad to get to know it better if when I have disposable income again.

i can endorse so many of those already, let me tell you-- the only ones i know jack s**t about are Masochisia, Oxenfree, Calendula, Rusty Lake Hotel, and Pony Island but the rest i know and are really good! not all of 'em are A++ but nothing below a C!

heckie dang the noise I just made. it was somewhere between a wheeze and a whistle. I have not read that name for it before, which might show how out of the loop I am, but I heartily approve.

And I'm glad to know those games are at least sorta cool ahahaa! Lookin forward to some fun experiences there P:

omgggggg I really love Rusty Lake's escape games - some of the cube ones are, um, kind of on the edge of nauseous for me with the way the camera angle swings up to look at the ceiling (I KNOW LMFAO) but it's nowhere near as bad as a full 3D game so I usually power through...room escape games are so fun! I think I'm gonna do one IRL this weekend, and I'm really looking forward to it, even though I'm a big baby.

I don't play a ton of games because I can't deal with moving cameras but it's exciting to see the Steam summer sale anyway!
Good morning again, MoM!

Mornin, bonsai! :>

omgggg, irl room escapes sound so cool! emotion_kirakira I sent in a job application to one that's opening in my town, but got turned down ahaha. That means the puzzles won't be spoiled for me til I play em, though >:3c !!

And man, motion sickness always sounds like such a huge tragedy to me... my life would be very different if playing video games made me fell ill...
My mom and sister did a room escape thing in Orlando. They said it was fun but it doesn't seem like something I'd be into. :p

Im more of a laser tag kinda dude.
