Rhoswen sauntered up the driveway to the only house in the mile vicinity of where her source told her the Great Falls Coven would be located. For a moment, the small girl had to drop her two large, sticker decorated suitcases and ogle the scene before her. A massive wood building with high windows and warm lighting radiating from the glass, stood menacingly before her. To Rhoswen's right, as she noticed while avoiding staring at the house too much longer, was a lake. It caught her eye and gripped her legs, forcing them to walk closer to the water. Shouldering her old burlap backpack with extreme care, she kneel on the damp grass, her star spotted black jeans getting a darker stain on the knees and the cold of the water seeping into her bones. The lake was crystal. Pristine after the earlier rain she had just avoided in the taxi. Not a ripple could be seen on the surface, and pebbles could be seen in sepia tones on the lake floor from the light coming from the house. Around the lake, the surrounding trees were just as green as Washington's evergreens. The place was storybook perfect, and Rhoswen couldn't believe dead things - like her - lived there.
"Weird we're gonna be living here now. Huh, Sidhe?" The young girl said absently, picking at a stray dandelion. Her slender fingers twisted it together with a few blades of grass. Sharp fingernails narrowly missing slicing open the stems and cells with deft movements. There was an air of adaption to the procedure, as if she was applying a talent stemmed from something else into braiding. A few slip ups showed the vulnerabilities in her abilities to use plants as an art supply. Her fingernail nicked the flower and a few petals fell to the ground.
"Yeah, I guess. Seems a little flashy though. So much for laying low." Out of the corner of hazel eyes a boy sat. No older than fourteen. He leaned in close to the girl, wrapping his hands around hers, taking away the obvious nervous tick and immediately dropping it to the ground. "Rhos, you have to stop doing that. You'll cut yourself one day." His voice was soft but stern, certainly concerned with Rhoswen's personal well being. Sidhe. Rhoswen's personal escort at all times of day. Her protector of all things mental. He had been around for as long as she could remember. Steadily growing with her; but his shaggy, sandy blond hair and murky blue eyes never changed. They were best friends, and Rhoswen loved him with everything she had. She was so engrossed in watching him. Studying him. That Rhos almost forgot that he wasn't real... At least not to everyone else. Sidhe was her imaginary friend that she had never grown out of. Even at twelve years old, Rhoswen refused to let him go. He was too much a part of her. "Rhos." A deepening voice in the prime of puberty. "We should probably get inside." Apprehensively she nodded quickly, once, pulling herself up using a small tree next to her. Looking as grown up and responsible as she could, Rhoswen teetered - as her left leg had fallen asleep - to her suitcases.
Just as the brown haired girl hauled her two suitcases off the ground, a large, menacing man stormed out of the front door. A scowl rolled on his face, resentment and disgust staining his tough skin. Rhoswen found herself stumbling backwards into the trees as he got in a sleek looking car. Real professional like. And sped out of the driveway in what seemed like a rush. Kicking up mud behind his vehicle. Rhoswen stepped out from the trees, red converse look a-likes tracking dark brown mud on them and staining the aglets a dingy brown permanently. Gas and burnt rubber permeated the air after for a minute or so after that. Waving a hand awkwardly in front of her nose, a hard feet to not hit herself in the nose with a large suitcase in hand. The front door was... Terrifying. Rhoswen stood there for a good ten minutes, knees shaking, hand raised to knock. A hand on the small of her back was the final push she needed. Swallowing down her fright at the idea of being such a young member - well... Attempting member - of a coven with people who may or may not accept her, she knocked, straightening her sweater and headphones nervously. It was now or never.
