Yes! And even though I decided to shell out for a body dye, its still a little darker than the bakeneko items, which, while hardly noticeable, drives me absolutely insane.

Also something I'd like to add:
It's be awesome if the bakeneko items [or some new form of fur-skin] works with even more items, like certain shirts, gloves, hats and the like. I hate having to equip the dye because an item I like un-equips the bakeneko items, or having to ditch it entirely because it doesn't work correctly

I want to be able to wear furry items! They just end up so awkward...the ears should have more poses, too--like laid back, different stuff like that, and better stuff that layers properly! Sign me up!!!

I Totally agree with this, While I don't think they would change the ears on some of the older items, like the Inari beads that i cherish, I'd love to see some ears of varying colors and with quite a few different poses. The layering is a big issue for me. My goggles are a cover-up item, since the ears layer all weird with this hairstyle, its like completely in front of the hair and just looks screwed up. The paws in the bakeneko top are screwy with certain hand poses, since one of them flips backward at an odd angle, and makes any item in that paw look completely un-natural. The newer hairstyles also don't play nice with the bakeneko skins.The demonic sash on mine is also a cover-up item because the hair has this nasty dark red outline around it which looks simply atrocious on the fur-skins. The bakeneko tails need a two separate tail option, since I cannot find anything closer to two tails than the split one on that. I'd also like to see another pose for the bakeneko bottoms that's more anthro, meaning similar to the "human" legs, but having the fur and footpaws. Layering and item conflictions severely limit what items I can wear. It took ages to find a set of items that looked good, fit my character, and didn't have layering/conflict issues. While I was able to make it work, it was a major pain trying to find items that went together, when they should have already gone together in the first place.

I haven't experimented as much as you have, but I've only been on gaia for two months or so. That's one of the reasons I don't wear animal items, actually; I love dressing up my avi and I usually change the outfit at least once a day--with the animal items, it's so complicated to match them with an avi that I don't really try. Some of the colors are frustrating because they just don't match anything readily available--like the calico items. They're pretty much my favorite items, just for the beautiful blend of colors, but matching them? It doesn't work. Another thing that drives me crazy are the weird poses for the bakeneko ears. OK, no animal has them sticking out from the side of the head like elven ears; that just looks dumb if you're trying for anything other than color. The top of the head pose is MUCH better, but it's still pretty pathetic--some hair styles it looks fine with, and same with some items, but it's SO FRUSTRATING having them too close together, sticking straight up, like a pathetic parody, when you DON'T spend FOREVER getting the right items. Something I'd also like to see would be a cat-shaped face, while I'm thinking about it... I would love some kind of evolving item, maybe, that gives you tons of different forms of animal parts, all kinds of different poses. I know this post is for the furry ones among us, but something else that should be addressed is the lack of variety for items portraying different common animals. I wish Gaia would realize how well loved the animal items are and give us options!
