Welcome, welcome, welcome and hello! I welcome you to 2 Corinthians 9:7, a charity. This is my own little place of giving where I can openly enjoy my faith in Jesus Christ and talk to others about it too. This thread isn't here to shove my views down your throat, in fact, you can easily leave if you don't want to hear about Christ for one reason or another. It is just here for my simple pleasure. I hope that you stick around though because the people who are here are wonderful.

2 Corinthians 9:7 is a bible verse that deals with man and giving to others. It is about giving cheerfully and not holding back. Many people are probably wondering why I would pick a bible verse as the basis as this thread. There are very simple reasons, actually. I have looked and looked and looked, but it seems that a Christian thread is very hard to find. I'm not saying that everyone is "holy holy holy" all day long, but nothing seems to pop up that is just celebrating God and his wonderful love for us. Many questers and charities have Christian owners, but I wanted to start a thread that was more than just having a Christian running it. I wanted a Christian charity. What better way to show God's love than to give to others?

June 9th, 2010: 2 Corinthians 9:7 is under construction and is moving along slowly. It should be open today or tomorrow at the latest.
June 9th, 2010 at 11:10pm EST: 2 Corinthians 9:7 is open and ready to go! 50,000g will be given out in the first night!
June 12th, 2010: 3 days after 2 Corinthians 9:7 opened over 400k has been given out through contests and donations!
June 17th, 2010: Mik Laid gets a full-time job as a receptionist! It's her first job!
June 21st, 2010: New thread layout is finally updated. Woot! Also, Mik Laid hasn't yet started for her job. She doesn't know when yet.
July 2nd, 2010: Another brand spanking new layout is up too. Mik Laid never got called back for her job, so she is still looking. Looks like her old compaq will be her laptop for school. Yay for crappy references.

I have very few rules that I will honestly keep up with, however, there is one golden rule that you WILL have to watch for because I will not tolerate anything less.

Number One Rule: Give respect. There will be no mean-spirited debating. No slander. No bad-mouthing. No taking the Lord's name in vain. I will not tolerate it. If you decide to come into this charity with the intent to "change our minds" or "show us how stupid we are", you will receive ONE private message asking you to stop. If you don't, I will ignore list you and you won't be able to post here again, whatever trade I may have had with you will be canceled and your post will be reported for harassment. Consider this your first warning and the private message your second because I'm not going to give a third.

This is a general rule for all religions that may wander into this thread. I don't care who's beliefs you insult. I will kick you out and that will be that.

Rule Number Two: It is of my opinion that my God is the ONLY God there is. While it may be of your opinion that he isn't the only God or the God I think he is, I really don't care. I will respect your opinion as long as you respect mine.

Rule Number Three: If you have a bone to pick with Christianity, in general, get out. Do not use the Bible against me to make me look like an a** while you cuss me and my beliefs out.

Rule Number Four: Say thank-you, please. If you don't, okay, but it reduces your likelihood of getting a second donation.

There is no form to fill out, no hoops to jump through and no specific time you have to be here to get a donation. I don't even require you to stay and chat for a prolonged period of time. I do, however, require you to make an effort. Even if you only stay for two weeks or cannot get online except once every few months, if you make an effort, it will be rewarded. On the other hand, if I feel especially generous, you may be getting something whether or not you have done something special for it.

These special folk can be your best friends or your worst nightmare. They uphold the rules and can give donations themselves (not like I could stop them), but aren't obligated to give anything at all.

Contests are year-round things that change occasionally. Unless otherwise specified, there is no particular date when a contest will end.

Random Number Generator: Generate a number between 10 - 100 and get any number ending with -0 and win 3,000g.

Page Prize: Be the first to post on any page ending in -0 and win 5,000g! Note: Up to page 80 prize has been sent.

Tektek: Using this base (click the link & click edit this avatar to use the base), tektek Mik Laid. It can be any style. Matching > Non-matching. Many colors > one color. Styled > sloppy. All entries will be put up here with links to their avatars. You can change the avatar's eyes/skin/hair with items & other bases that are obtainable. PM entries to Mik Laid. This contest will end --.

Events can be seasonal, monthly or whenever I feel like putting one up. The contests in them are fleeting, so you should take advantage of them as soon as possible and not hesitant.

I hope that if I put it down towards the bottom, less people will see it. The less people who see it, the less I have to worry that I'm pulling funds away from my charity. So, I'll get to the point, I do have quests still. Like my dream to have Fuzzy Penguin Slippers & Horns of the Demon, but I have found I like giving more than I do getting. Instead of questing for it directly, I'm going to only take donations for this quest. I'm not going to pull any of the gold from this account and I'm putting my savings into another mule of mine. I will update my progress on it, but other than that, I'm pretty much putting it on the back burner. If you would like to donate to it, label your trade or I will put it towards my charity. (:
