This Is Emma

Who? Me? Nothing remarkable here. 100%, absolutely normal!
Until I start to dance, that is

Huh? But The Basics Are So Boring

Uh, my name? Call me:
Emma Lynn Skyes
I'm at the tender age of:
16
Wait, why are you asking? I'm obviously a:
Girl
I came into the world on:
February 17th
I come from the beautiful land of:
Great Britain
Not to brag, but I'm brilliant at:
Ballet

Why Do I Need To Tell You? Can't You See?

I'm sort of tall, at:
5' 8"
That's rude to ask! But to be honest I weigh:
135 lbs
I see through:
Bright, green eyes.
Do you like the color? It's:
Naturally pale blonde but dyed a shade of light green
I'm built like a dancer. But if you must know more:
She's quite thin, but very toned with plenty of lean muscle and excellent posture. She does all she can to keep off extra body fat and eats very healthy for her dance. She'd be described as long and lean at first sight, with long legs and well defined calves and thighs. Her torso is very straight with a flat stomach and a small chest. Being a B-cup can be a bit of a bit of an insecurity. She has a toned lower back as well and long arms with long fingers.
When I'm not in ballet costume I wear:
A rather feminine style, but nothing too out of the ordinary. She doesn't even like dressing herself too much and feels much more comfortable in a school uniform, especially a cute one. Emma leans towards light shades of blue, green, purple, and pink for her usual dress. Usually one of these shades in a skirt paired with a white, probably button-up blouse. Emma loves to feel the sun on her skin, so she doesn't cover up too much. She prefers short-sleeved tops to long ones and doesn't wear skirts any longer then her knee. Emma in pants is a rare sight, though she sometimes wears shorts. She'll also occasionally wear plain sundresses in summer time.
You'll be able to tell it's me by:
The word 'DANCE' tattooed on her upper back, just below where the neck meets the back. The words are in green, so it's impossible to see them through her hair unless it's up in a bun. In that case, she uses foundation to hide it, so you probably wont see it unless you're looking for it. Or if Emma decided to show you on her own free will. Her mother knows about it, but her grandparents (who house Emma and her mother) would not be happy.
Oh! Here's the photo album:
Hello, my name is Emma
I'm a ballerina
And a schoolgirl
Kind of boring,
Aren't I?

Do I Really Have to Tell You? It's Personal!

I'm deeper then I seem! I'm:
Perceived as a sweet and quiet girl, Emma sees herself as a simple side character. You know the type; the girl who stands at the back and smiles, cheering on her friends and listening to their problems. With the quite literal belief that she's playing a part in the play of life, Emma has devoutly taken on this role and plays it quite nicely. She's naturally a good listener and a level-headed giver of advice, valuable when necessary but otherwise left to the side for more interesting characters to take the stage while she smiles and claps. Even pretending to be heterosexual so she can better fit it. She sometimes thinks because of this role it's not her place to have troubles of her own; she should have no desire to take center stage. So, as far as she let's others know, she doesn't. But there's more to this self-proclaimed side-character then meets the eye.

For one, Emma does have troubles and emotions of her own that she hides with her sweet smile and soft voice. Sometimes all she really wants is someone to listen to and give her advice, play the role for her she has for everyone else. But due to her own pretense there is no one like this, so she bottles everything up. Of course, she can only bottle up so much and this can be rather unhealthy. When she does release negative emotion it is all in one big explosion of screaming, punching, kicking, crying, stomping and storming out from such a usually quiet girl. Warning: It can be hard to tell when one of these storms is coming on, or what will trigger one. Anything that wouldn't even bother her when she was in a better mood could trigger an explosion. They've come from someone talking to fast, the vending machine not working, or even breaking a nail. But that's not this green haired girl's only complication.

Her entire life Emma has had a burning desire to take the center stage, to be a star and be the center of attention. After all, what girl doesn't want all eyes on her in admiration? Though she'll never admit it. She used to say "Oh, no. I don't like the spotlight" because she thought it suited her better. She's always wished for a chance to have it forced on her, to be the brave heroin. But that wasn't for her. Emma's life is built around who she thinks she ought to be, not who she is. However, Ballet has given her that chance to be the center of attention and she loves it more then anything in the world. There isn't anything she'd rather be doing then ballet dancing and she's never missed a practice or turned down a chance to preform, unless she was already preforming in front of a larger audience that night. She hides it, but she loves the attention given from the dance world and feels that maybe she can finally break free from her dull role.
If you really must know I'm:
A closet lesbian
My story? Are you sure? Fine, I'll tell you:
A 16 year old girl by the name of Lynn Skyes became pregnant with Emma after going to a party with her boyfriend. The said boyfriend left her to take care of her child, not wanting the responsibility that came with a baby. Or maybe he was just afraid. Who knows? Anyway, this young woman wasn't just an average teenager, she was the daughter of one of a very wealthy businessman by the name of David Skyes (CEO of Skyes Industries) and and a very successful lawyer by the name of Annabelle Skyes. Of course, they weren't happy about this, but they kept their daughter and her unborn child, not making Lynn give up the baby. However, Lynn did have to give up something else, her dream. She wanted to be an actress, had the talent to do it, too. But didn't chase it because of her pregnancy. But that's enough about her for now. Flash forward nine months, and meet Emma.

Born a healthy, strong child, Emma was always taken care of quite well. She lived in her grandparents large house with her stay-at-home mom always taking care of her; almost never left in the care of a nanny. Even when she was a baby her mother used to rock her and say this: "Life is a stage, Emma. We all have a part to play. My role is as your mother, but you can decide your own. Choose wisely." The words were meant as a comfort to herself, and as words of advice to her daughter to warn her against sharing her fate. But Emma took them much more literally. As she grew older and the words were repeated, her fear only increased. Her mother took her to plays sometimes, and she carefully analyzed them for a part that would suit her. She did the same thing with television, until she finally made up her mind on who she would be the perfect fit for. The helpful side-character. She devoted her life to this role; hoping to make her mother proud.

However, Emma soon began to feel trapped inside it and was pushed to her first (and certainly not the last) total emotional breakdown. She would have been a kindergartner, a first-grader, maybe, at the time. It was the result of some poor classmate asking to borrow Emma's pink crayon, for she had lost her own. This little request was enough to push the bottled up Emma to temper tantrum beyond what even the brattiest small children usually do. She instantly let out a wail and then began thrashing. She threw her box of crayons across the room, emptied every bin, made an attack at several of her classmates and the teacher and was otherwise totally out of control for the duration of the thing. She bit the teacher's hand open when she tried to take her to the principal's office and stormed out on her own to go cry in a corner.

Her mother thought the tantrum was a one time thing from her normally nice, quiet daughter. They were wrong. At irregular intervals the breakdowns continued and at the age of seven, it was decided that Emma needed an outlet. Ballroom dance, her grandparents and mother picked for her. They thought she'd enjoy it, and knowing how to ballroom dance is a good life skill in their eyes. This helped a little, the freak-outs became slightly less frequent but still as extreme. It was a different style of dance that became Emma's turning point. Her mother (who still took her to plays every once in a while to reminisce about what her life could of been) took her to a show being put on by the UK's top ballet company. Emma instantly fell in love

It wasn't hard for the ten year-old to convince her parents to enroll her in ballet instead of ballroom, which she had been taking for three years. The ballet slippers felt great on her feet and she simply loved it. She had clear potential, her teacher could see it in her. With money from her still successful grandparents, Emma began taking private lessons with the top teacher at that studio who helped the girl grow. She placed at her first competition and took gold at the next. By the age of fifteen Emma took the national title and dyed her hair green to celebrate. Her parents thought it was a strange request, but to Emma it meant a lot. Colourful hair was not in her character. Dancing was good for her; the tantrums are less frequent, but it seems nothing can keep them from their destructiveness. Soon after that championship, while she was preparing her routine for the international competition, she received a letter. An invite to Emerald Hills. No one in the family was less then thrilled about her going. Emma cannot wait to try out the new school and all the new adventures that await. Maybe also a chance to really leave her character behind and become Emma.
May I please have:

'Breaking character'
Attention
Just keep it away! I hate:
Acting on stage
Playing her self-assigned role
Pants and shorts, as oppose to skirts and dresses
Boys, particularly of the cocky, obnoxious variety
Injuries preventing dance
Over the top costumes
Being ignored
Dirt
Cleaning
To be honest, I'm sort of afraid of:
Blood, she faits at ever paper cuts. This has lead to a fear of sharp objects as well, particularly needles.
