Good evening. This is a one-on-one roleplay search short 'n sweet.
Candidates of this endeavor will be most successful if they are
quirky, intelligent, independent, sensitive to the
elements of fiction, grammatically aware, and, above all, sweet.

I don't really look for length, I look for strength in content.
I seek a writer who will challenge me and entertain me while doing so. BYOW: Bring Your Own Wit.
Wordplay, allusions, slapstick, irony, sarcasm, etc.
I want all of your witticisms.

And I'll try my best to reciprocate, even if I must
sacrifice my sanity and my self-esteem for it.

I'm open to various styles of roleplaying:
prose in any POV, poetry format, letters,
diary entries, transgressional, confessional, jazzy, absurd,
                          existentialist, magical realism black comedy--!!

So don't hesitate to ask about that.

Drop me a PM if you're interested and let me know which
instant messenger platforms you have installed. We could
plan our roleplay much faster through IM's. Of course,
we'd do so with your consent.
I play both genders (male and female) equally well. I don't even need to double.
We'll conduct our roleplays through attractively formated private threads.
No anime pictures for our roleplay, please.
Use real people: celebrities, fashion models, musicians, etc.

Plots are next. Beware: a lack of coherency and a whole lot of meandering rants.

                          [CRAVE-CAKES] your suggestions
I will consider your ideas first before my own. If you have any plots or cravings, characters you want to flesh out, let me know.

I update this regularly. So check back once in a while.

                          Press Conference
A young rookie journalist for a British entertainment newspaper interviews a celebrity. The celebrity could be a singer, movie star, or whatever that has to do with a hugely anticipated/successful project. However, the rookie falls into madmad love with this celeb, and the single celeb's use to this kinda s**t. One more notch on his bedpost's not gonna matter. But they wake up the next morning . . . . . . in unfamiliar territory. Just what did they do last night? They find themselves going on a bizarre journey to wherever they need to be. We'll work that last detail out. This would be lotsa fun. ;]

                          Prince of Persia
Since I haven't played any of the games, this will be based off of the 2010 movie.
                          [SPOILERS BEWARE]
                          .

                          .
                          .
                          Is this enough?
Okay, well basically we'd continue where the movie left off. Tamina don't know s**t, but she's smart enough to figure out what Dastan's been through. Dastan and Tamina restart their relationship. But y'know...s**t happens. Another source of evil threatens their home. It could deal with the dagger or we could rip off from the fourth game and give Tamina awesome magical powers to heal the land from Corruption. AHH. PM me. This would be EPIC.

                          Wacky Western
                          Enough said.

                          sherlock holmes
Delicious. Action and investigation. I'm a noob--I haven't read any of the stories expect for The Speckled Band. So we'd be relying almost entirely on the movie. I think this will be lot of fun. I can play Holmes, Watson, or Adler, or two at a time. It would be funnnn (again).

                          the life of tennessee williams
This would be my homosexual romance request, hahaha. He's a playwright wrestling with Miller to get the title of American Drama King. Growing up as a charming, but sickly Southern boy who has seen and experienced things a boy just shouldn't ever see, there's something fascinating behind what he writes, the characters he creates, and the things that come outta his mouth. His romantic interest is a young Naval Officer returned from the war. And it's them in Elysian Fields, New Orleans. 1947. How do they live? How do they meet? What do they think of each other?

                          arthur miller and marilyn monroe
Makes you think: What the hell?
Well, as you know, when Monroe became famous, she got married to the hot-shot playwright of the time. Arthur Miller. What brought them together? How'd they meet? How did they live life before and during their marriage? I don't want to play them. I just want to make up our own characters in the exact same situation.

                          police-mafia thriller
I'm talking in the style of the departed. It's an awesome movie, if you haven't seen it. Boston cops undercover, wise guys, etc. I like the dynamic of there being a police officer going undercover for the longest time, dealing with all of the atrocities and identity crisis and stress of being two different people, of there being a psychiatrist trying to help him but is at the same time not sure how to cope with all of his s**t. She could also be caught in the middle of crime without even knowing it. Police man to rescue?

                          Love Vigilantes
This is a good song by Iron and Wine. Listen to it. I know it says he came back Japan, but that point is negligible, 'cause all wars produce the same result.
He's just come back from World War II a war hero. He's out to woo a rich girl he never had a chance of wooing before becoming a hero, but by this time, she's married. This is very Great Gatsby-esque. But. I LOVE GATSBY.

                          Moulin Rouge
Continuing with brainless adrenaline-promoting, sensual stimuli, something based on the woman who sells herself and the man who loves her scenario would be buckets of funn. ROXANNNE!

                          Artist and Courtesan
So.....to attract more peoples, this is basically the plot above with more clarification. There is a woman who sells her "love" and wit and grace of style to the highest bidder each night. But there is a down and out artist, a Bohemian, who cares not for money but only for Freedom, Beauty, Truth, and Love....but such things really can't keep his stomach full. He steals away into the complex she works at and falls in love with her. He pursues her with witty costumes, or sometimes in the most ridiculous ways and she more or less reciprocates the feeling. Later on....let's just say, he becomes bad for business. This can be in any setting, within any time frame. Women have been ruling the world this way since Mesopotamia.

                          An Education
Inspired by the movie with Oscar-Nominee Carey Mulligan, this'll take place in 1960s London. A girl's applying to Oxford. She's frustrated by her parents' boring, cookie-cutter, indifferent life. She strikes a relationship with an older (thirties, so not too old), richer man and through him enters a world of jazz clubs, concerts, art galleries, and dishonest business sharks.

                          water for elephants
This is an AMAZING novel I read in 9th grade, when I still had time to read the books I wanted for pleasure. You shouldn't read it for any intellectual value or anything--it's just 335 pages of pure ENTERTAINMENT! God, it's so good. It's got a Cornell Veterinary School (virginal) dropout who joins a train circus and takes care of all the animals, most notably an Elephant. There, he befriends circus performers and freaks, and falls in love with the star performer of the troupe; she is also the wife of the schizophrenic/abusive animal trainer. So, circus revelry, buffets, freaks, glitter, money, insanity, stampedes, and forbidden love--ain't that yummy? I think so.

                          transplant patient and organ-donor's spouse
Watched a movie about this. Stopped half-way because, I wanted to make a roleplay out of it without being biased. A person is poor health, in need of a new heart which is almost impossible. We'll make it a man for now. He lies in the hospital, dying, in low spirits, craving that one last cigarette, and sex. Enter a woman--a recovering drug addict with a supportive husband and two beautiful daughters. Her life has never been better and she can't thank God enough for that second chance. A born-again Christian ex-convict runs over her husband and kids, killing the the girls instantly, and putting her husband into a vegetative coma. The plug is pulled, and the chain-smoking patient gets the woman's husband's heart. After the transplant, the man hires his "acquaintances" to find out whose heart he has.

                          experienced woman and younger man
I've been dying to properly play an innocent cougar hunter--a young man who falls helplessly in love with an older woman. Perhaps she's his university professor, an in-law he meets at a reunion, or the employer he is interning. Absolutely. Crave. Ing. I'm super picky about pictures for this one, so don't get offended if my sleeves suddenly roll up. Maybe Nicole Kidman will do. Let's make this intrguing.

I've actually come up with a plot for this one. The woman and her husband are caught in some kind of terrible accident. The husband dies with parts of his body gone. The woman survives with burns leaving no more than an ugly scar on her back and/or chest. She becomes very depressed, stops eating, turns to drugs maybe, etc. And this young man who she's affiliated with, maybe an intern, student, co-worker, etc, is trying to get her to move on. And the only times she gets together with this young man is when she wants to punish herself.

Jeux d'enfants (eng title: Love Me if you Dare)

This is a French movie I fell in love with not too long ago. It would be great to roleplay off of this concept: a boy and a girl befriend each other through a game of dares. At first the dares were silly kids' games; they dared each other to spray-paint obscene words on their neighbors' driveway, spike the teachers' coffee with laxatives, swim naked at the community pool, forge love letters, urinate on the basketballs, etc. But the game stuck with them through their late teenage years, and morphed into something more perverse. EXAMPLE. The whole movie is on youtube, if you're interested. Marion Cotillard is superb.

                          love on the set

Before this movie, the two young actors were nobodies. Sure, they dabbled in the drama club a bit, had talents in music and art, were rejected from Harvard University. The male lead was cast first. Out of the hundreds of girls who auditioned, she was the only one who shared perfect chemistry with him. He instantly fell in love. She's trying to keep things professional. This was inspired by articles and interviews about and by Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart, and the casting of Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams in The Notebook. Where're the snipers?

                        ABOUT ME (Dx)
--I'm starting University this Fall. I'm eighteen years old.
--Things don't flow very well in my head. I only get kernels of truth. Very randomly.
--I'm going to major in English, minor in music, and do Pre-Medical studies. If you call me a naive high school graduate, you can SUCK IT.
--I'm planning to study abroad at King's College in London for a year...
--I play the cello, and I arrange songs for my cello rock band. We're pretty sweet.
                                --I want to write plays.
--So I read lots of plays. My favorite playwright, at this very moment, is Arthur Miller. I know. I'm a noob.
--I also read lots of novels. My greatest influences are Nabokov, Isabel Allende, G.G. Marquez, Tennessee Williams, and Arthur Miller to name a few.
--I listen to lotsa music. My parents raised me on Elton John, El Santana, WHAM!, Eric Clapton, the Beatles, Paul McCartney and the Wings, and a couple of others. Right now, my current obsessions can be found on the playlist in my profile.
--My dad passed away this year on January 20th. Eight days before my birthday. I miss him, but he's my guardian angel. Writing about him this summer will be my form of therapy.
                                --I'm Buddhist.
--I can be either very lax or very critical of the human condition meaning, my use of the word "idiot" is pretty liberal.
--We'll see. I'll add more, later.

I love the Spanish idiom "dar la luz"

it means "to give birth to".
But it literally means "to give light".

                          I like it a lot.

As a collective persona, it rubs our inner thigh the wrong way.

travelin' north, travelin' north to find you.
Train wheels beating, the wind in my eyes.
Don't even know what I'll find when I get to you.
Call out your name love, don't be surprised.

                          My poor baby brother. =[
                          He's just a baby.
                          He can't pull all-nighters. He just can't.
                          How's he gonna survive?
