Welcome to Gaia! ::

Welcome!

This thread holds all you need to know in order to work for TLC Bumping. Refer back here for commonly asked questions and formats. If there is anything here that is not answered, feel free to ask it in the main thread. We are always willing to answer questions.

TLC Bumping is customer-oriented and employee oriented. Our focus is the customer and you. Always strive to provide the best possible service to the customer.

Employee Rules
We have just a few rules, but rules nonetheless.

1. Do not begin bumping in our guild until a moderator has okay'd your application. You should send a join request to the guild, however, when you apply.

2. When you do begin bumping, we expect a minimum of 5 bumps to be completed before you stop a slot. Also, do not log off without posting a stopping post. End on 0's or 5's whenever possible. This keeps everyone's PC even and makes finding errors easier.

3. We do not hire employees and will not keep employees who work at two shops. This is not meant to hinder anyone from applying or anyone working here, but more often than not, an employee cannot work in two bumping services without slacking in one and eventually leaving. We can guarantee there will always be slots that need bumps if you worry that there isn't enough work here and gold to be made.

4. One of the key things that makes TLC Bumping stand out among other services the most is consistent bumping. We strive to bump every single slot at least once a day. If you see a slot that hasn't been bumped in a day or see several slots being bumped over and over again, look to see what slots haven't been bumped. This is EXTREMELY important. Follow this rule above all others.

5. Be aware of what customers want for each slot. Every slot will have requirements that the customers wants. Speed bumping is not allowed unless the thread is falling off the front page at that rate. Otherwise, don't do it. It leaves the customer feeling cheated out of useful bumps and leaves them with a poor experience. Try to follow the rules and personal preferences as closely as you possibly can when bumping. Speed bumping is considered bumping more than once a minute in a forum that is slow moving. Forums such as Services, Art Shops, Art Requests and Mini Shops are generally slow-moving.

The bold sentence is the bump range and amount paid per bump. Below that is the gold range that you could potentially earn.

Point System

This point system is totally optional. However, you can benefit greatly if you are active and bump a lot.

Important Information; We will withhold your points if you speed bump orders in order to get more points. Otherwise, there are no ways to lose points. You may PM Palpable Love and ask us to record your points so that you will have them when you come back.

You may turn in points at any increment listed below. PM Palpable Love with how many you would like to turn in and for what reward. We will give you the reward as soon as possible. Allow us a reasonable amount of time.

How To Earn Points
Finish an order +5
You are the person to post the "thank you" form in the last bump or to finish a set in an automatic renewing order. Automatically add these points after you do this.
Retrieve/receive a good comment from customers +10
Quote the comment & PM it to Palpable. Any compliment or comment that reflects nicely on TLC. (Always PM Palpable if a customer is upset.)
Every 100 bumps +10
Automatic.
Every 50 bumps +5

Rewards
10 points - 100 points = 1,000g - 100,000g tip in your next payday trade
75 points = Generate a number between 100,000 - 250,000. Reward is the number in gold.
100 points = Item off your wishlist or quest "future quest" list
150 points = 300,000 gold
250 points = Current month's monthly collectible
300 points = 1,000,000 gold
400 points =

PC & points are to be kept separate, but in your starting/stopping posts also. An example is like the starting/stopping post in "How We Bump".
Frequently Asked Questions

What is a PC?
PC stands for Personal Count. It is your weekly record of how many bumps you have done in the customer threads. Every time you bump a customer's thread, you should add 1 to your PC. Do not add 1 when you post in the TLC's guild or in the main thread. Only our slots.

How do I get points?
The only ways to earn points are through the three methods described in the point system post. Refer there for information.

If I order bumps, how am I suppose to send in payday trades?
Generally, we complete your order trade almost immediately. Afterwards, we make a note on the waiting list with your slot that the trade has already been completed and then you can proceed as normal with your payday trades. Another route is to send the order trade on a mule and send the payday trades from your main. Whichever you feel is better for you is fine.

Bumping Information

1. THIS THREAD is where we post all starting/stopping posts. You can see several examples of proper starting/stopping posts on the front page of that thread. ALSO, that is the thread that has all current information on our current orders. The main purpose of TLC's main thread is chatting. Seriously, chat away in the main thread. It is highly encouraged. Someone is usually lurking the thread anyways.

2. Every time you bump a slot, you should post something similar to the starting post example below:

Starting Post
Starting Slot 1 @ 1 / 100
PC; 1

It has critical information like the slot number, the number you are starting on and your personal count. That is all that is required when posting a starting post.

After you have finished bumping a slot, return to the original post that you made before. You should EDIT it with the underlined and italicized information in the "stopping post" example below. You MUST include the number you stopped bumping at, a link to the last bump you made, your personal count and your point total. Include the starting information as well. Do not delete it. A stopping post is simply an edited starting post. A new post should not actually be made.

Stopping Post
Starting Slot 1 @ 1 / 100
PC; 1
Points (if you choose to participate): 1

Stopping Slot 1 @ 20 / 100
PC; 20
Points: 1

Slot 1 bumped for month / day.

3. You are allowed to use mules to bump the slots. PM Palpable with the main&mule account's name. You are allowed to bump multiple threads with an account at any one time. However, do not use two (2) accounts to bump one (1) slot. This usually results in speed bumping which is discouraged.

While You Bump

Each bump should have 3 critical things: a TLC bump graphic, your personal count and the bump amount. Each and every time you bump, your personal count and the bump amount should go up by one.

Here is an example:

A Bump
User Image
1 / 1000
PC; 1

Most preferred color for your personal count is white!

4. While you bump, link important information in your bumps like order forms, applications, art requests, etc. Keep a small link in your bumps & relink it on every newly bumped page. Check if the customer wants it PM'd to them instead also if you do, don't bother linking it in your bumps. PM them the information.

BUMPING GRAPHICS - All bumping graphics can be found HERE while optional pre-made bump formats are HERE. Use these graphics while bumping! You may use your own graphics, however, link them back to our
Completing a Slot

(NOT TO BE MISTAKEN AS ENDING OR STOPPING)
These should be placed in your last bump. Such as 500/500.
Please QUOTE the customer (not the thread owner!) in your last post as well! You can find these on the first page of the main thread.

Pay Day

On Sunday (preferred) or Monday, send a trade to Palpable Love labeled "PC;; xxx". Your actual PC number should replace the xxx's. Once you send your payday trade, please continue bumping, but start over at 0. Sunday and Monday are not days off. If you do not make, at least, 50 bumps every week, you will not be paid. This does not include bumpers that are on hiatus. You should always have a PC count in your bumps or they are not counted towards your PC. Starting/Stopping posts do not add towards your PC. Only posts in a slot do.

If you do not label your payday trade every week, it will take us longer to get to your payday trade. If you are unable to label the trade due to a glitch, then quote Palpable Love and let her know the amount for the week.
Hiatus Information

Hiatus means no weekly bump requirements are required. Semi-hiatus means that you must be bumping at least 50 times a week. That is for year-round. PM these forms to Palpable Love. DO NOT POST THEM IN THE THREAD.
