I got it from looking at my Armani Exchange glasses. Yes, I have glasses.
Where did you get the name “Craved.Ambition” for your store? Why did you open it?
I got it from my LiveJournal community where I post work in progresses. It stands for my ambition in pursuing a goal, which tends to get out of hand because it’s a craving? I usually overwork and spend too much time trying to get something done as flawless as possible. Some people I know wanted me to open a Gaia Art Shop. It also serves as an opportunity for me to practice and hone my skills. Although those are the main reasons why, I’m also open to meeting new people in Gaia and getting experience.
Do you offer freebies? Can you notify me when you do?
I might, depending on how much time I have. A freebie is generally the same as an order but it’s free! Maybe I’ll promote a freebie on the first post, not including my posts, on every 100th, 250th and 500th page. I doubt the thread will go past that many pages. And it is first come, first serve.
Are you a man? Why are you blonde? Are you good looking in real life?
I’m not blonde in real life. I do have a special fondness for blonde characters though. I look average in real life, but my gender is androgynous. I will not limit myself to specifying one gender. Don’t go looking for me, I’m not interested.
Do you have an outside art portfolio?
I do have a deviantart but there isn’t anything submitted to it yet and it is currently not in use.
Will you take real money for commissions? What do you prefer as payment?
Maybe I will someday in the near future, but not right now. If I do, it will be off-Gaia. I prefer payment in gold.
Do you accept donations? Will I get something for it?
You can look at my wish list, but they are called donations because you’re giving it away instead of asking for something in return. I do not accept payment in granting things I want in my wish list.
When do you decline a request or commission?
I decline a commission when I feel that I am not capable of giving the requester what they want. Although I am not capable at drawing everything, I want to broaden and try new styles out.
What do you like to/comfortable drawing?
I’m comfortable with drawing headshots and bust-up because most the details are centered near those areas when it comes to Gaia. I’m not experienced in drawing poses. I am also
How long have you been drawing? Coloring?
I’ve been drawing for several years now, particularly for the interest of my school and friends. I’ve been coloring more frequently for around half to three quarters of a year.
I see that you labeled Full Color (Lineless) for extras in your ‘Pricing.” Why color that way and why so expensive?
I’m used to coloring lineless on a Normal layer over a flat color layer. It was the first method I used to color with and I’m rather fond of the results. I don’t do lining because I don’t have the commitment or time to spend on lining my sketches. It is expensive because it includes two sketch layers, one flat layer, one rough shading layer and several normal layers following after that.
Why color digitally, and not traditionally? What programs do you use?
I color digitally because of several reasons. Most programs offer a ‘Flip Horizontally’ option to check for flaws. Digital media also provides a variety of tools to render traditional media, such as Painter X, Adobe Photoshop and Paint Tool Sai. I used to use Painter X but I’m still unfamiliar with it. I mostly use Paint Tool Sai for sketching and coloring, Adobe Photoshop CS for coloring and OpenCanvas 1.1 for sketching and lining.
Why do you offer to create a .WMV of a progress drawing? Why price it? Do you have some examples?
Most people I know are curious in how I draw and color. It takes time to demonstrate to each and every one of them individually so I make videos. It will be hosted on a public service, such as Youtube or Photobucket. I’m pricing it because it takes time to record it.
Can you offer a reservation for a slot for me? I really want a commission.
I'll offer slot reservation unless you made an impact on me for being an extremely patient person who’ve pursued me for a long time. Friends also are an exception to this rule. Do not friend me simply for this purpose.
