OC_FLYNN______________________
Name: Linda Mallory Loehmann, but prefers to be called Flynn.
Age: Early twenties/late teens
Gender: Female
Eyes: Large, catlike. Frequently half closed. A bright, unnatural yellow due to her werewolfism.
Hair: Quite short with wispy bangs, a blondish color. Sort of like this but not styled and without the slight tail in the back. And blonde.
Build: Average height. Very bony, she is basically all angles. There is nothing smooth about her. Usually unhealthily underweight, but it fluctuates.
Clothing: What you might call hobo chic... She doesn't really care about appearances and therefore will wear anything that she finds comfortable. She doesn't really feel cold, and is liable to wear compeltely innapropriate clothing for the current weather. Likes darker colors. She hates wearing shoes, but will usually just wear sneakers. You can draw her in one of her outfits from the references, or make one up (which I LOVE). Holes are always found. Never wears hats. Likes plaid and pinstripe, as well as well-worn clothing.
Personality: Compulsive, a bad liar. She never things things through and can be incredibly selfish. She never quite sees the bigger picture and is always stuck on details. Never cleans, and isn't very personable. She has a hard time making relationships work and quite frequently gives up on them. Has a sort of 'my way or the highway' attitude about her. At first glance, would seem like an incredibly self confident (not to mention arrogant) natural leader. However, she has self-esteem issues and generally doesn't introspect much. Can be wishy washy at the wors of times. She has a bad temper. Sometimes appears cold; but she just has a hard time trusting people. Was born with lycanthropy, inherited from her father. Since the disease is (currently) uncurable, she knows that eventually she'll die from it
Relationships: Dom: Her brother, the two were close until their father killed himself. From then on, they sort of went their seperate ways. Eventually she wound up running away from home (see 'Ivan') and didn't think much of him. Years later, she saw an article in the paper that mentioned him and decided she should try and fix their relationship. Things since then haven't really improved, and the two frequently display classic sibling hostility. But despite that, she understands him better than most do and wants to remain close before she dies.
Ivan: After her father killed himself, Flynn started to hang out with what some would call 'the wrong crowd'. Ivan became her confident, and friend. The two got into plenty of trouble, sneaking off during school hours to smoke. One of their other friends, Matt, snitched on what the two were doing one day. Ivan and Flynn got mad, and ganged up on Matt, beating him quite a lot. Ivan, realizing what the two had done, broke down and ran away. Flynn was emotionally unstable and made an impulsive decision to go after him. Since then, the two have lived together. Their personalities contrast quite a bunch but the two seem to balance each other out. The kind of friendship where nothing really needs to be said, because it's already been. Flynn is definitely the more dominant, and Ivan usually only relunctantly agrees to her schemes.
Jack: The two haven't ever really connected, as their personalities are too much of the same. Flynn is usually just annoyed by Jack, thinking that he's being like he is just to annoy her. Occasionally the two have shared a moment, and Flynn can clearly see how concerned Jack is about Ivan. She is trying to understand him better, but she really just doesn't have the patience.
Marnie: At first, she didn't know what to think about Marnie. After having learned about her past, she felt a little less threatened by the other female in Dom's life. She is still a little unnerved by her.
Meena: She was quite resentful of Meena. It was because Dom kept hanging with Meena instead of his sister that Flynn's life flushed down the toilet. She still holds a grudge, and can't stand that Dom still feels bad about her death.
Trish: She considered Trish her arch-enemy. When Trish confronted her about possibly helping the WS cure-program, Flynn wouldn't have anything to do with it. She just tries not to think about Trish that much, and is convinced that what Trish is doing is wrong and should be stopped.
Note:The story of my ocs takes place in an alternate world. In it, there's a rare hereditary disease frequently refered to as lycanthropy or the werewolf syndrome. This is because those born with the disease often display animal like bouts of anger, as well as increased smell. The only form of indentification is by eye color; all those with WS (werewolf syndrome) have bright, unnaturally yellow eyes and large canine teeth. Ultimately, the disease is fatal. The timeline is unknown, as individual results vary, but signs of impending death include irrationally irritated eyes as well as yellowing fingernails and loss of hair. The face becomes deadened looking, and movement is limited. They may start coughing up blood. Eventually the infected will die, either from loss of appetite or unknown causes. Quite frequently, once the signs have erupted the infected may choose to end their own life rather than face a slow and painful, not to mention ugly, death. Research is being done on a cure (see 'Trish') but for the most part it is extremely rare and only passed on by relatives. The only other way of infection is through lab testing. Rare cases have shown that someone can be partially infected; the case of one eye being yellow. Those who are partially infected show no symptoms of WS, although either by being purposefully infected or by an unusually low immune system a partial infection can lead to a full on infection with all the same symptoms. Research is still being done.

Name: Domino Fin Loehmann, goes by Dom or The Great And Mysterious Professor Dominoe
Age: Looks like his early twenties (looks older than Flynn even though she's the elder sibling)
Gender: Male
Eyes: Left, bright gold but almost always hidden by plain black eyepatch. Right, light grey-blue with a scar through the middle.
Hair: Light brownish. His hairstyle varies with each ref pic (I haven't quite pinned it down) but you should get the general feeling of it. Feel free to experiment.
Build: Average height and weight. Not as pointy as his sister, but with a more stocky build.
Clothing: When on the road or in leisure time, he will always wear a scarf, either red or green. Any scarf will do, really. His eyepatch for when he doesn't want weird(er) stares. Likes lots of layers, and has a fondness for striped shirts and long sleeves. Never wears shorts, always either jeans or dress pants. Usually in sneakers or dress shoes. When performing, he wears a tuxedo, his eyepatch and a flamboyant turquoise tie as well as a top hat.
Personality: Pretty laid back, Dom likes to think things through. There's almost two sides to his personality - the calm, level minded one who you can count on and then the flambuoyant showman who makes split second decisions and seems very unstable. He is usually a mix of the two ultimatems. Most people don't seem to 'get' him. Since his childhood friend, Meena, was killed, he has sort of withdrawn and doesn't get very close to anyone. Marnie is trying to fix that. He is, as usual, completely oblivious.
Relationships: Flynn: Always has thought of Flynn as being reckless and not someone to trust, he's trying to adjust to her seemingly fervent desire to rekindle their friendship. Never really noticed how resentful Flynn was of Marnie. After she ran away, he started to go off the straight path and was known around the town for his excellent card and gambling skills. He dropped out of highschool to persue his dream as a professional gambler.
Ivan: Never really noticed him when he was a kid, he only vaguely remembered him after Flynn had run away. Upon re-meeting him, he wondered about him and his sister, but Flynn assured him that it wasn't like that. Hasn't really talked much, and thinks of Ivan as a moody loner who is helplessly dragged along by Flynn; to tell the truth thinks he's a bit dull and wonders why Flynn is still friends with him. He doesn't know what he and Flynn did that set them up to run away.
Jack: Thinks he's weird, simply put. Has a somewhat better understanding of him. The two can hold a conversation for a while, but in the end they'll go their seperate ways. He's starting to treat Jack like a littler brother.
Marnie: He met her when he caught her trying to pick his pocket. Recognizing that her skills were valid; he asked if she would become his assistant in a magic act he had been thinking about. She accepted, and the two have been trying to learn to live together ever since. He hasn't really noticed how attached to him she is, because he's been like that ever since Meena died. He would miss her a lot if she ever left but doesn't think about it. He always seems to frustrate Marnie and can't ever rationalize how it's his fault.
Meena: Meena was his first real friend. Dom and Meena did everything together, and it was from her that he learned his first magic trick. After she was attacked, he withdrew and hasn't ever really gotten over her death. Her death shattered any delusions he might have had about the real world, and he is very sober because of it. .

Name: Natasha Barnes, always called Marnie (see relationships>Jack)
Age: Late teens / early twenties, always looks a little older than she is.
Gender: Female
Eyes: Large and dark blue
Hair: A light, golden brown ish color. Sometimes appears darker. Curly, and when casual in a splayed bun, when performing it is excessively curly and worn down with a headband.
Build: Average height and weight; very curvy and rounded. She has a strong chin.
Clothing: Likes off-the-shoulder and 'flirty' clothing; she isn't afraid to show off. She doesn't like pants and will usually wear either high heels or sandals. She likes cheery colors, but almost never wears pink. She likes hair accessories and bracelets / necklaces of all kinds. Known to wear wacky earrings. Again, clothing design is wonderful <3
Personality: Outgoing and friendly on the outside, she has an easy going personality and is an optimist. She had a bad past, but doesn't hide it away. In fact, she is very open about anything that's happened to her and has no problem talking about her feelings or what she thinks of others. Because of this, she can come across as blunt. She is usually seen smiling wistfully, or smirking. Despite her cutesy appearance and friendly personality, she can become irritable and has a case of sticky fingers - she's a klepto and has a hard time controlling it.
Relationships: Flynn: Tries to be friendly with her, but can be put off by her reckless personality. Sometimes the two will sit together and chat, but usually the two are too different to really connect.
Ivan: Thinks that he's a nice guy, if troubled. He's so quiet that she usually just doesn't notice him, although she does notice how close he and Flynn are.
Jack: Used to go to school with him; when she lived with her father (who was in the mafia) she went to a boarding school. Although Jack was older than her, the two became friends after he discovered her stash of stolen items. Shortly after, she was pulled out of school to live with her mother and he was expelled for innapropriate conduct. She ran into him by chance when she and Dom were performing a random show, and asked if he'd stick with them for a while. She got the name 'Marnie' from him when in school, from the Alfred Hitchcock movie, because he said she reminded him of it and she liked the name better than her own.
Dom: When she first met him, she was quite intrigued. Now she feels very strongly about him, and wants to stick with him. She is rarely intrigued by people as much as she is by him. Despite her curiosity, she can get annoyed with him quite often because of his unwillingness to let go of the past. She tries to reach out to him but he usually either ignores her or is completely oblivious; but she is still trying and is very affectionate towards him.

Name: Ivan Charles Morris
Age: Early twenties.
Gender: Male
Eyes: Brown
Hair: Red, thick. Usually fashioned into a surfer/emo hybrid 'do.
Build: Taller than most ( 6'3" ) and awfully thin and freckles.
Clothing: Neutral tones. Usually wears long sleeved shirts and pants. When at his job as a waiter, he wears a dress shirt and bowtie. He has large glasses and can barely see without them. Sometimes wears bandaids all over (he has a knack for getting hurt in inventive ways). Likes plain things. Wears converse or boots.
Personality: He seems reserved to most. He just keeps everything bottled up, and had been known to have a violent temper when roused. He was raised by foster parents and ran away with Flynn when he was fourteen. Can be cynical and appear cold hearted to some, but would really do anything for Flynn. He's rarely seen to smile or laugh in a kind way, but Jack is determined to get Ivan out of his shell, and it's almost working.
Relationships: Flynn: What he'd call his closest friend. He doesn't realize it, but he is quite dependent on her making decisions for him. He has a hard time being firm with her but generally gets along pretty great. She is who he is most comfortable being around, as the two have had a great many mishaps together.
Marnie: Is off-put by her outgoing personality; she is sort of the opposite of him.
Jack: When Jack first showed up he was quite puzzled by his seemingly odd behavior. Now, he's started to open up to Jack more (to Jack's delight), but has a hard time expressing himself when he's around. He's more attached than he knows to Jack, as once when Jack thought of leaving their group Ivan became quite moody and wouldn't talk to anyone for days. After Jack decided to stay, the two have started to do more things together. Ivan is really just not that sure, and finds himself acting like a teenager again when Jack's around.
Dom: Respects him, but can't quite help but remember him always as Flynn's kid brother. He enjoys playing cards with Dom, and has helped break up an argument between Dom and Marnie.
Meena: Only met her once, and to tell the truth didn't think much of her at all. He liked her hair.

Name: Jack Newhousen
Age: Late teens/early twenties (slightly older than Marnie)
Gender: Male
Eyes: Green
Hair: Dark brown (almost black), like this kid but more flipped out, if that makes sense. Just general bed head.
Build: Short. Looks vaguely asian. Often mistaken for a fourteen year old.
Clothing: He absolutely hates pants. He just hates wearing them. Only on very special occasions will he wear pants. He likes baggy shorts, or to just wear his boxers around. Goes barefoot most of the time, or wears flip flops. Usually wears just t-shirts, sometimes plain white and sometimes printed tees. Never combs his hair, but has good hygiene otherwise.
Personality: Very intelligent, thoughtful meaning he cares about others but doesn't really do introspection. He gets notices a lot and has an excellent memory. He also wants to be liked, so much that he has created a sort of persona of who he thinks others want him to be. Because of this he often acts like a child, is emotional and pretends that he really doesn't care about what others think. He only shows his 'true' side when he's alone, or with Marnie, who is trying to get him to show his true colors.
Relationships: Flynn: Tries to get along with her, but also finds that she is too similar to him.
Marnie: Feels that she is a great friend to him, and although the two really don't have much in common Jack enjoys being around her. He is the only one who really knows her past, and her real name.
Ivan: Thought he looked interesting, and was of course quite curious once he noticed that Ivan didn't speak up much. His increasing interest in Ivan has peaked, and although he hates being shut out when Ivan is not in a good mood always seems to recover in due time and is back to being Ivan's shadow. Has been known to make rash (and stupid) decisions when Ivan does something he finds upsetting. He once dyed his hair a rather ghastly shade of blue to try and please him, but once the general consensus was '! UGLY' he dyed it back to his natural hair color.
Dom: Is slightly resentful of all the attention that Marnie gives him, but has to admit taht Dom is a pretty nice guy. The two get along ok.

Name: Meena (???) Leugers
Age: 13 when she died.
Gender: Female
Eyes: Red. Her left eye was mangled when she was a kid (accidentally stabbed herself with a screwdriver... don't ask).
Hair: Originally a dirty blonde, but she dyed it a light blue color. About chin length and sometimes pinned down with weird hair accessories.
Build: Short (she's only 13), skinny. Kind of awkward.
Clothing: Large tops with tank tops under them. She hates long sleeves. Likes socks and bicycle shorts.
Personality: Optimistic, she was Dom's first real friend. Her parents worked all the time, and her sister was away at boarding school, so she was lonely until she met Dom. Then, she decided that it was her purpose in life to be the best friend possible to Dom. To do this, she effectively shed all the negative aspects of her personalty (indecisiveness, cowardice, arrogance... Well, she was pretty arrogant anyways) when she was around him. She thought he was funny and liked that he was good at card tricks. Probably manipulated him more than Dom'd like to think. She was the one who got the two of them into various shenanigans. One day she went off on her own after getting into a fight with Dom over something stupid and was killed by either a crazy killer or a wild animal. (The case is still unsolved). Now she resides in Limbo, and sometimes unknowingly invades Dom's nightmares.
Relationships: Flynn: Only met her once, thought she was weird.
Marnie: n/a
Ivan: Met him once, thought he looked shady.
Dom: Thought he was the best, like a little brother even though he was the same age as her. The two were very close for the couple of years they were friends and there was never any awkwardness in their friendship until the very end, when it was somewhat forced. She could be self-centered in her actions towards him but really expected him to be something great.
Meena: n/a
Trish: Never really talked to her sister much, as she was at boarding school. Had a faint notion that she was doing something great in the world.

I'm Zelly and I've been on Gaia close to three years now. I like the colors turquoise, green and grey. My favorite animal is a cat. I love reading Terry Pratchett and my current favorite book is A Long Way Down by Nick Hornby, closely followed by The Zombie Survival Guide and Going Postal. I like watching CSI, Criminal Minds, and other crime related shows as well as The Office.
