I've only seen a few episodes here and there on one of the German stations back home (it was aired in English though). But it was enough to get me interested in reading the books, plus another friend of mine had recommended them. It's quite good! I like that he uses that old style of writing that is somewhat Tolkien-esque, but nowhere near as tedious.
Also, I was at Costco today and saw another series of books (only two out so far) called the Divergence series. They sound kinda dystopian, a bit like The Hunger Games trilogy. Do you know anything about it? Or does anyone else here? Just a bit curious before I go buy it.

So, Jon finally tells me after 7 months that the boxset was supposed to be a Christmas gift. Like, he was going to wrap it and everything. But when I found it in his shopping cart while I was buying something else off of Amazon, he said that he bought the books since they sounded interesting, you know, so that he could read them. And so, he got me something else (I don't remember what it was though...) If I would have known they were for me, I would have opened up the trilogy months ago! *shakes head*
Never heard of Divergence.
Oh, and I realized that I didn't tell you about City of Lost Souls since I, myself, have not bought the book yet. I was moving around that time, and I got caught up. Now that Borders is closed here, I haven't been to a book store in... probably a year. >.<
