There once was a girl who was born into royalty. From a very young age, she was told it was a blessing, but as she grew up and her coronation grew closer, it felt much more like a curse. Whenever she complained, she was accused of ingratitude. She didn't care, though, because she was certain that something unfortunate would befall her the moment she ascended. So, she cried and raged and tried to escape but was foiled at every turn. And her perceived petulance earned her a reputation throughout the kingdom as a real nightmare. Wouldn't you know, though, when she, resigned to her fate, knelt before the throne to receive what she knew would be a royal albatross, sharp bat's wings sprouted from the shining crown, and a sinister smile crept across her countenance. Now they would surely see what a nightmare she could be.
