Avi dump part 4. I think I'm mostly caught up after this one. Featuring lots of florals. Click to favorite.
I intended for this to look like an old-fashioned bridal portrait and wanted to layer over some lighting effects to make it look old and faded, but I couldn't get the layering of those layers to work with the border layers I had. Maybe I'll try again later.
This was really just an experimental attempt at using head and body mods together with background elements.
Playing around with midori/kaguya.
Playing around some more with midori/kaguya. Trying to justify buying that expensive bundle
a couple of casual spring/summer babes. Click to favorite.
Stylish girl trying to cool down on a hot day. This is such a fun top/armmod because of how it layers. It works really well with dresses to turn them into skirts. I didn't end up doing that in this case, but I might eventually.
A girl taking a barefoot stroll through some flowers. This avi went through so many different versions, I tried tons of bottoms/tops/dresses/hairs trying to get the vibe I wanted. I ended up loving the cutter mod on these pants and then tried to make that work, hopefully I succeeded. I also bought a few more of that item to use those pants in other colors.
Little avi dump. I haven't had much inspiration lately, these are fairly simple. Click to favorite.
Just a summer outfit. I wanted to use that skirt and came up with her.
This one started with those boots from the other pride item, I thought they'd make good witch boots. I was originally using a different hat, but then this one came out in one of the user recolor rigs and it seemed like a good fit for her.
Wanted to make an outfit with these cute overalls. Not sure how well it turned out.
For some reason, I was checking how much cantaloupe orange I had? It's not a color I even use normally. I felt like these two hair items would go together, then I started adding flowers, and this just sort of came together. I really like the sense of movement she has. I tried a lot of different wings since I didn't want to cover up too much of the hair, these worked the best of the ones that I have.
Made two versions of this colorful summer boy. I think I like the one with the sweatshirt slightly better, but the one with open jacket and bare feet is more different from my usual style.
i feel so cheated on not knowing that those shoes can actually turn into slippers
I've felt that way plenty of times when I realized a cutter worked on something in a way I didn't expect. The Cutter guide is super helpful, but you kind of have to know what you're looking for.

yea it's terrible when i don't even think about the possibility altogether. i'm definitely gonna go through that guide so i can familiarise myself with my items
I was working on this before the blooming version of Buzzing Honey Blossom came out and trying to make an avi with the hat. Coincidentally, I used a lot of blooming. I did try it with the blooming recolor hat pose, but I didn't like it as much. This shade of brown on the hat matches with the chair in the background a little better.
I made her while I was making the colorful boy I last posted. I started with the leg mod and went from there.
This one also started with the legs and I ended up with a rusty punk dragon girl.
This one went through many permutations. The first version had a lot of sketchbook brown and some honey lavender, but I had to scrap it due to a lack of items to balance the colors out. Ended up with this much more pastel version and I do like her a lot. I am glad I got to use those gold shop skirt and bag items finally.
For her, I was trying to justify buying that sweater item even though the only other items I had in that shade of brown/gray were also sweaters. I like how she turned out and I got to finally use those eyes that I have wanted to use for a long time.
This is an old avi that I just realized I never posted. Pretty sure I started with the arm pose? Maybe. Also not sure how her breasts are so perky with just a sash holding them up.
edit: Added two items, a more substantial top and a forehead decoration.
A very 80s pastel girl. I thought the sweater, shoes, and skirt combo worked really well as an 80s outfit and then I just tried to make it less boring and not ruin the cohesion.
Wanted to make a casual avi with these overalls. I have another recolor of them that I also want to use, but I'll try to make the overall avis different enough, hopefully. I really like how her hair turned out and the ribbons at the shoulder.
This started with me playing with the new duke of solair item. I found the book pose the most interesting. The tag calls this red maroon I think, but it looks more like rust to me. I tried to add more shades of red, along with the rust-colored roses that are part of the spell this magician is casting.
I was missing the forest creatures I make and wanted to try using some slightly different color combos. I wanted this to be mostly nori, moss, and the pinks that are in the withered scheme, but swampberry found its way in there and not very much moss in the end. That bayou bridegroom item will always be one of my favorites. I wish we had more items like that.
Just made a quick avi to try out the items in the new Pickled Petty Plans user bundle. Mixed in creamsicle and offblack. I might bring her back and do some variations as we get into fall, since she looks pretty autumnal already.
