My strategy lately is that I get inspired by an item/pose, start putting an outfit together, hit a block, give up, save it, then go back to it and finish it later. I also have a lot of meetings at work and making avis is a nice alternative to doodling. I can still listen and focus on the meeting while casually tweaking an avi that I don't necessarily intend to keep or finish, but sometimes they work out nicely.
You have done a lot of ghosts! You are a ghost master! I know you've said before that can help you get inspired with your own avis, so hopefully that continues to work for you. I still think your avis are

I'm kinda the same, I just checked and I have 12 unfinished avi's atm but I'm too lazy to give them another go.. And you're making me miss my previous job a little, I always had so much free time to do whatever. I rarely have time for my phone at my current one, not even on my breaks 'cause I'm always in a rush it seems.. x_x I can't believe you can touch up avi's during meetings, I'd block out everything for Gaia.. xD;
I've only done around 135 ghosts and I'm no master at it.. ;3; I have fails here and there, and I mainly just find items I'd like to purchase but don't have the funds for.. D'x Or, you know.. unlisted. xP!

Maybe someday those 12 avis you have saved will spark your interest and you'll be able to finish them. I'm sorry you aren't enjoying breaks at your new job! I've had jobs like that, too, where everything is just a constant rush. I became a sort of manager at my current job which doubled the amount of meetings I have to attend. Since they're all phone conference meetings, I need to keep my hands and eyes busy with something or else my mind starts to wander and I can't focus. I do need to be careful since I don't have much privacy at work and I don't want it to look like I'm just goofing off.
135 is an insane amount of ghosts! That's a lot of practice! I have had a rough time with the last ghosts I've done, I feel like I used to be better at it but now that I am getting to know my own inventory so well I get totally lost when I'm in someone else's. I also realize how frustrating it is that many items aren't tagged properly.
I feel you on the unlisted items, those are such a bummer!

I really struggled with this one. Especially the face.
Switched skins on this one a few times, since the coat and face offered a bunch of options. Might need to tweak the mouth/nose.

Summoned a demon boy while I was trying to make an avi with that hair. I've done a similar avi here but hopefully they are different enough that I don't get a bad grade in making avis.

Edit: version 2 removed the freckles because they changed the way the face looked at a small scale.
Edit: Created a less casual and more masculine version 2. Tried a few different background cutters but I felt like this one ended up being the best.

Avi dump time I've made a bunch of fantasy avis that I've been sitting on because I didn't really want to wear them. They are all in my favorites now if you happen to like any. I try to put the avis in my favorites at the same time as I post them here.
I wanted monster on my rotten mind for so long, but I don't think I really know how best to use it.
Was going for a skeleton pirate sort of thing, not sure I pulled it off.
Trying to use all my bloodshed items.
