More witches! I'm trying to group my avis in the backlog based on matching vibes. Click to favorite.
Wanted to make a witch with these arms and make something creepy with the aocha scheme. The legs were the hardest part to commit to, I wanted them to be a little monstrous but still cohesive with the scheme.
I was trying to make a witch with pure black rather than my preferred offblack. I actually ended up making two, but I'm posting this one now since I happened to use the same butterfly/moth pose as the avi above. I really like the combo of these sleeves with the hat. I originally had a different vision for the skirt/legs, but didn't have any items in monochrome that would make it work. I'm not unhappy with how the legs turned out though, it's probably for the best that you can see more of the lawful master skin.
This one started with the shawl. I originally was trying to force it into being a witchly avi, but then dropped the creamsicle and just focused on the purples.
And here's a spooky scenic from my efforts of trying to make spooky avis with backgrounds. This one was loosely inspired by the old school dungeon crawling games my boyfriend likes to play.
I made a lot more witches and Halloween avis than I realized, gonna do a big dump to try to catch up. Click to favorite.
Made this witch back towards the start of the year and didn't get around to posting her at the time. Witchtober seems like a good reason to post her now. I started with the arms because I stumbled upon the cool pose and didn't want to forget to use it.
I have a bunch of these calabash+butter witches hanging around. This one feels the most complete and balanced. I think I started with the arm pose and then the bats.
This one was mainly a color experiment, playing with the old scheme that used pecan. She ended up reminding me of the avis octoepuss makes.
Just wanted to make a witch with the withered scheme. I think this one may have started with the hat.
Love the Forage Witch Way item! I made a little harvest witch who loves using her magic to grow veggies that she sells at the local farmer's market.
This one was inspired by wanting to use some of the older classic black/blackout items and especially the ones with a sheer effect. I layered a bunch of sheer stuff on her and was excited to use this old hat that doesn't blend in with a lot of newer items. I knew I wanted her to have a brightly colored skintone to go with the black, and then added the purples because they looked nice with the skin I ended up picking.
And to go with all of these witches, here's a kitty familiar. I was in the process of trying to make a monster avi and then decided to try to make a kitty avi instead using the moving tail and ear items. Unfortunately I don't know how to save the moving version with all the layers together.
And I'm also behind on posting my Halloween full-background avis. Click to favorite.
This is the one that originally gave me the idea of making some of these. She's inspired by the book Vampires of El Norte by Isabel Cañas. She started with the skirt/dress.
I made a scenic version as well. The avis later in this post also use a lot of the same background elements.
This one is inspired by pretty much any classic gothic horror story where you have a lady who is in a new and frightening house and she doesn't know who she can trust. Crimson Peak, Rebecca, Jane Eyre, Mexican Gothic, A Dreadful Splendor, you get the idea. She started with the arm pose.
I made male and female versions of this one. These were inspired by an avi I saw in the Runway, but I forgot to save it, unfortunately. Credit to the creator who came up with the combo of this arm pose and Pomiandi. They aren't spooky, but they are very autumnal. Maybe something spooky is happening somewhere nearby...
Back on their farm, wearing one of their old straw hats, there's a scarecrow that's come to life. Hopefully it doesn't try to murder anyone!
thank you for the gift, mallow! i cant believe you’ve made sooo many halloween/autumn avis! i really really like the bright green skin and adding purple to it. So chic and classic💗

You're welcome, and thank you!! The molu skin tends to look really nice with black for some reason, I made a mermaid with that combo earlier this year for Mermay. Honestly, this is only like half of what I have. I made some of these way back in the year, but was saving them all for October without realizing there were so many! I think I'm gonna end up posting some in November as spillover, but I really want to get all the witches and full background ones in this month, so I'll need to do another big dump next week as well.

i’m in awe of your brain!! random question but is your irl job also on the creative side? Those mermaid avis are soo dang good. it might be the contrast between the molu and something dark?

Thank you so much! I wouldn't say my job is very creative, no. I'm a software engineer for a defense contractor, so it's all very regimented. Gaia is blocked at work, so I usually only have avi making time on the weekends. Maybe it's the pent up creativity, haha! This year I've been mostly inspired by the books I'm reading.
Yeah, maybe the molu+black combo has that satisfying look of something glow-in-the-dark.
