I'm really liking cyberblossom. it's just so fun. so i did try out magenta items to fill out more pink, and tried to stay away from items that had the magenta tag but were basically raspberry. going for a pirate cutie with this avvie

I'm starting with Sundae this week. I adored Sundae ever since it popped up, both in it's original form in Sundae Sweets and the Sundae character item, and in it's modern form, with the vintage gold added, and the red/brown mellowed a little. I think sundae would look best in offwhite/ivory heavy avatars and as accents, but none of the Sundae items I have follow that configuration. Therefore, instead I took signals from the shadows of the hair and went darker on other places in the outfit. Slushy, Sketchbook, Concordia, and vintage-heavy schemes like Independensea and verdigris were all helpful here. The bright side of modernizing old schemes is suddenly having more items with consistent tags to pull from.

here's my try for the Sundae theme it's a little unbalanced colorwise but it was fun to build i just don't have a lot of the base colors without too much mixing the brightness of the melon really pops from the sable brown while the ivory and vintage gold frame everything well it's a good solid scheme and it'd be nice to see more items in the scheme particularly some of the mocks everyone's been building since they're all so fun

Dapper Puppy

Going to pass on cyberblossom and boxing kagaroo. Boxing just feels too random and all-over the place. While cyberblossom does have cohesiveness, I'm not a fan of any of the items it has.

I actually do like sundae. It is hard to find a scheme melon red looks bad with, and pairing it up with a brown and ivory was wonderful. Definitely would like to say more ways this scheme can be used.

Well, I love both Cyberblossom and Sundae, so this week is for me.

Though this really doesn't show the extent of Sundae items that I have (which isn't very much to begin with), this is the avatar that I made for the Showcase. Sundae is definitely a simple but brilliant color combination, in my opinion. It's very well balanced.

Cyberblossom is right up my alley! CMYK is my favorite color combination, not just on Gaia, and this is sort of along the same lines. (Obviously, just remove the cyan and yellow.) I have most of the items and I would LOVE to see more, but it's unfortunately a user-only color scheme. sad So new items are scarce and potentially expensive. I'm surprised I haven't made more avatars with these items, though! So on either Saturday or Sunday, I'll have to make a new one. But here's one that I previously made:

ALSO, for the ease of the Showcase, any previous avatar that I share on here, it's saved in my favorites on Gaia. So you can just use the image URL. Not sure if you save avatars on an image host thing or not, but hopefully that saves a bit of time. wink

Hello! Here is my Cyberblossom attempt. I mixed in a little imperious since the shade of pink was close. I might pass on the last theme because I don't have anything for it and it seems really random, but we'll see smile

I like melon red, but, like others said, it's easier to make cute avatars than other styles at the moment -- even by trying to borrow items from other color schemes which is using it. sad

Anyway, here's my little entry smile

Sorry for double-posting; here's my avatar with cyberblossom. Since I had only one of them, I tried to include some magenta items which were rather close to odele pink to complete the look smile

It's a little bright like shade, but I still like that one, especially when used in contrast with other colors like monochrome.

And here is my new Cyberblossom avatar. Though I prefer black hair, I wanted to try making an avatar with brown hair. Also, more of a focus on black for the clothes.

The new schemes are up! We're having a Purple and Blue theme this week

Luminous Connoisseur

Didn't expect Haunted to show up so soon after I suggested it! Looking forward to seeing what people come up with.

I really like Haunted, though. Ghastly and Schoolboy have the same colors, it might even be possible to pull of its color combo without any of the Haunted items... User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

I love wilted and dandelion, im too poor to afford dandi alone though :<
hope to see more of of both, however dandelion+ivory+vintage is
a dream scheme.

Aquatic Liege

Pretty schemes all around this week.

Wilted is one of those schemes that I keep meaning to do something with and then getting distracted by other things. Blue+purple is generally a win for me, so hopefully I'll get to it eventually! I like the kind of magical and nightmarish (but still elegant) feel some of the items have.

Dandelion, for me, is best when it's ivory heavy and separated like it is in Moon of Chang'e, but it is pretty both ways. Kind of a regal scheme. Also fantasy-ish. It almost feels like it's missing something, but I couldn't tell you what. Just... almost.

Haunted... eh. I like it? Not as much as the other two, because bright schemes just aren't my cup of tea, but it's nice. I especially like seeing turquoise get some love. And ghastly with white is delightful.

Gave Haunted a shot this week. Because it was my cheapest option. I had to mix in some sinful and gambino and cyan because I had that rather than any of the blues that are actually in the scheme. So it isn't true Haunted, more of a spinoff. But I'm pretty pleased with it nonetheless.

oops, seems like this avvie wasn't put into last weeks gallery, though I do remember you favoriting it.
User Image

on to this week! i'm not a huge fan of purples, and the more muted and dark they are, the less I like them. Wilted is a bit of a dark scheme for me, with the offblack and liseran purple. Dandelion is a nice light blue, and i didn't realize it's a hue shift. the shading on it, though, purpleish in my eyes make me not like it as much as blues like jay or even hyperjay. I agree with others that dandelion items that are heavy on ivory like Moon of Chang'e are more my cup of tea.

I like Haunted, but more for the turquoise and possessed blue rather than ghastly. It is definitely easier to make, being less expensive than wilted or dandelion, but my paltry amount of ghastly is my downfall.
