Where does Vintage end and Parliament begin?
Is it the yellows that differentiate them?

If you mean 'Vintage' as in "Catharsis", Catharsis doesn't have dusk grey in it. Catharsis is Vintage gold, offblack and ivory/offwhite. Parliament is butter yellow (a little lighter than the gold and less brown, more 'true' yellow), dusk grey, offblack and ivory/offwhite.

Found a hair that had both colours in it to give a visual comparison (note: that the hair isn't parliament it's just butter) <3

Thanks, you pointed out the two main differences I was noticing but couldn't name.
Parliamnet has gray in it. And the Catharsis Vintage is bronzer than Butter Yellow. With this avatar I'm wearing now, the butter yellow doesn't have much surface area (just in the tiny stars and eyeshadow), so I'm looking at my Vintage/Catharsis items and wondering why they seem to match so well.

eyy! i like this scheme.
however.....i wish there was more butter to balance it out on some of the items ;; a lot of them have just a smidge too much grey for me and not enough ivory and butter.

That's just enough yellow for me to feel it deserves to be there because it comes in big blobs, and enough grey to say there is this ageing vibe about it but without making it overpowering. I made the 2 versions with the contrast of off-black versus off-white and I feel off-black brings out the yellow a lot better whereas off-white asks for too much attention so it gets too muddied. I think that may be my problem with certain designs for the scheme. Let yellow be your big bright highlight. Off-white should be a small accent and not a primary part of the parliament scheme.

I know I super missed miserable but I am just..., so in love with the idea of a little purple cat.

Onto this week, I didn't think I'd like Parliament as I ended up liking it
Butter yellow is so so nice emotion_bigheart
I like it much more than the other more muted yellows
and the whole scheme works together, imo. all neutral except for
a bright and exciting yellow. very nice

Thanks so much! I put way too much time into balancing color combos. I'm digging miserable + swampberry a lot now. Verdigris + miserable is already kind of a scheme? If you added black it would be gloomy, so that one isn't really something I found myself sweatdrop

Headpiece, trim on the shawl/coat thing and buttons on the vest all are off white but they're minor, where they belong =P

Not the biggest fan of booming, even though in some ways the combo is similar to my scheme. I realize it's based on a Pokemon, but the over-reliance on offblack is kind of a turnoff for me.

i like mint, i like burgundy, not a big fan of the purple or all of it together
i think i might like the purple with different colors? i've never seen it used with anything else tho
but no i'm not a fan of booming as a scheme
