Personally I'm not a fan of the "traditional" Halloween color schemes. I have seen a few people really pull them off though and I find that pretty impressive!

I really love orange and black, to me those colors feel so much more Halloween-y than orange and brown. I think it's sad that newer items are rarely released in true orange and black. I sort of wonder whether high-contrast schemes are generally not as popular as those with more delicate color combinations.

As an offchrome person, traditional orange/black doesn't do much for me. I much prefer pumpkin or wildfire if I'm going to look for orange. Making an avatar that wasn't covered in offblack/coffee/hickory was almost impossible with my inventory. I find it odd when I see the cream pairing with orange because it looks like it's trying to be pumpkin so hard and then throws black instead of brown in the mix.
That said, I think it can be useful in partnership with your venom colours. Still not something for me, though.

I voted No but then immediately thought of an exception: Mech items. I think some mech items in Orange and Black, together or separately, would be great~! Even recolours of existing mech items into one or both of these colours would be great~!

. . . I'm pretty sure users who use Monster poses would love some recolours into Orange, Black, or Orange-and-Black, too.

Mucked about a bit with some more sci-fi related items. Can't say I'm sold on orange by itself. As a highlight, maybe, but as main it doesn't really speak to me in more traditionally robotic poses. Although, the pants in Hunter's Destiny remind me of Star Wars.
