Welcome to Gaia! ::

That's why I think they should have left the current fish as is and taken them out of the store completely. They could then sell modified fish with the same graphic so people could still have the fishies that they like. The curent fish would eventually die out, leaving only the new "modified" fish.
For those unfamiliar with what I meant by black out, here is an example. This was at the end of the game before the score bubble popped up. You will notice that the watermeats are greyed out after their resources were exhausted.

we are still playing with the gold values in boot grab and although you might see changes in availability of individual fish we will no longer play with the gold amount caps on individual fish. Therefore Watermeats have been restored to their original maximum amount. Thanks for bringing my attention to this!

Hey! Chuck! blaugh

On top of things as always!

But what do you mean by the availablilty individual of fish?
by availability I mean, the percentage chance that they'll show up in a booty grab game. as you know, some fish have higher trigger rates than others.

I understand your beef... But they're trying to figure out the gold system right now, to try and figure out what will up the value of gold. Booty Grab, unfortunately, is counteractive to that, introducing massive amounts of gold into the system. They had to lessen the odds and goldgrants just for that.

Who knows, fish might get un-nerfed. But right now, the booty grab's been limited so we can maybe get this gold inflation thing under control. sad

It's still possible to make a lot of gold, as far as I've noticed. I just B-grabbed, like, 2k in 20 minutes. That's still pretty good. *shrug*

Most people arent so lucky. I can go days without seeing any tanks glowing.

Yeah i know your pain, I have never seen one glow and i do check around.

There are some people that just aren't all that into it, and that's ok! To each their own. There's a lot of things to do on this site that are fun. My favorites happen to be chit chatting with friends in the forums and playing BG on their tanks when they pop up.

I personally won't be spending anymore money on gaia cash items until they decide to fix all of this. I'm not going to pay good money and then have the product not deliver like it is supposed to. It's just bad buisness, Gaia. sad Way to mess over a good portion of the people that pay to keep this place running.

Here is what Gaia will be missing out on from me alone.

Every time I play a watermeat tank, they always get capped with 15-30 seconds of game left. sad

I've had numbers of comments from people saying the same thing when they play my tank.

If a fish is only going to throw 3g coins, it's cap should probably be higher.

Or at least a multiple of three. xp

Um, I'm playing BG right now and the watermeats are maxing out at alarming rates. I'm thinking the restore didn't work?

Deliver what? This is what I've been trying to tell the BG obsessed folks. Yes, I see your argument, but it's not going to work. They never said a guaranteed amount of how much gold you'd make from a certain fish. You can't complain about them changing that amount. So long as the mermaids drop blue/green coins and watermeat drops blue coins only, and fish that cost more drop more gold and trigger more than the cheaper fish, and the fish lives for as least as long as it's description says you aren't being lied to.

This is the equivalent of complaining that an EI didn't evolve when tektek.org said it would. *headdesk* But whatever, no one listens to me.

I haven't played just yet so I don't know exactly how they're working. I will be messing around with them some this evening to see. smile

Thanks for the info though, Chuck! smile heart

So before, there were plenty of high BG threads full of Mermaids, and everyone kept playing them for limitless amounts of Gold they can earn due to high trigger rates and Gold amounts thrown per second.

And now Gaia has placed a limit on how much each Mermaid/W. Meat can dish out? So I spent 200k on 2 Mermaids that just give out 250G from BG...

So if you change the trigger rates of fishes and make high triggers to mid-triggers, it doesn't solve the problem, because people who invested in so called high trigger fishes will feel betrayed as well.

And as for the watermeats. I just played on a watermeat and it maxed out at still 20 seconds left. This never happened to me before. I won't buy any more watermeats for sure. They are not worth their price anymore.

No there wasn't any guarantee, per say. But when you see how something works, then go to the store and buy one, you expect it to work the way it did when you originally saw it. Yes, the item had a $7.49 price tag and I saw that. Yes, they have a 25 week life span and I undersotod that. But they certainly didn't give off less gold than a mermaid during a game (which costs the same amount). What I was saying was that there was no longer any justification of the 25 week life span if they aren't going to perform better than the other fish. I don't really care how they fix it. They can increase the life span, increase their glow rate, increase the max amount again, whatever.

I still have not found a glowy watermeat tank, so I'm not sure if the max was fixed or not.
