And that is me done. No more Gaia Cash. I'm sorry but I do not have staff alerts on to be made aware of sales. I have staff alerts on to be made aware of new features and of bugs/glitches that the Gaia staff are working on. So having these alerts being saturated with yet more offers on top of all the PM's and numerous announcements is enough.

Nobody has this kind of money to throw around on a site that revolves around dressing up avatars. Not only does Gaia seem to not understand the meaning of the term "sale" but they also seem to not understand that people need time to actually accumulate income in order to purchase these items. So 24-hour sales on items one after the other, that are ranging from $20-$75 a pop, is ridiculous.

I'm not even angry at them, I'm just tired of having offers tossed my way through so many different means. Seriously, this plus the ridiculous amount of inflation being brought in through even more Flynn's Booty grants, it's a wonder how some of the disgruntled users are still around. This is a sure fire way to lose customers.

I am disgusted on Gaia's tactics for rereleases. It's true what they've been trying to do. Inflate the values of items severely and then release them at outrageous GC prices deeming them as good deals. Specifically with the items Bound Warlock and Melodious Witchcraft

Bound Warlock is at 5000GC at the moment, and just two months ago it had a value of about 3m. Nobody would have EVER thought that was even close to a decent value back then.

Melodious Witchcraft is worse. An item worth 350k at one point, and steadily worth 500k until inflation spiked is now at 2500GC. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I am a contributor to Gaia via GC but to me I am beginning to feel like a damm cash cow. I am sick and tired of the cash pushes it is turning me off to the site. I am not buying GC anytime soon unless something pops up I really want but doubtful.

Not to mention all the changes Gaia is doing, it is really beginning to become a chore coming on here anymore.

I know Gaia is working on a sister site and I believe the cash pushes is for that, seriously do fund raising for that site through other means some of us on Gaia won't be visiting that site and I feel it's unfair to pay for something I could care less about.

That being said I know Gaia has expenses it must meet each month for this site, that is fine I do not mind donating for the upkeep and such for this site but seriously enough with the cash pushes. How would you like it if I suddenly was pushing somethign on you? Like my music preferences, political opinions or w/e. Bet you wouldn't so please for the love of Gaia STOP WITH TEH ******** CASH PUSHES.

Its not only causing rare items to deflate it is making it to easy to get them, I am not happy at all that to get a SD doll made your way its 500.00 RL cash. Seriously? Who the ******** would pay that? If you have more power to you but I have better things to spend that kind of money on than a pixel doll. Say like rent, food, car ins or my son?

And more ripoffs in LV. This is the third consecutive day Gaia. Dark Heart 2nd Gen should never be sold at 1000GC. But I guess Gaia's plan is to deflate the value of gold and inflate the value of GC. 1299GC used to be able to buy you 4 REIs in a bundle, now apparently 1000GC can buy you one (3000GC in the case of Sainte Ciel Agape).

I can understand calling something a "sale" if the items in question never had a set GC price (ie. RIG items). Those types of items will naturally be quite expensive.

However, a re-release of Dark Heart is on "sale" for double its original release price? Excuse me, what?

To be frankfully honest I am only on here for the friends I have made and the b/c pretties. Nothing else catches my attention anymore.

Zomg is being trolled by a really disgusting troll in a sexual manner been going on for weeks seems like nothing is being done. He just keeps coming back, ban one acct makes 10 more. It's becoming really just to much of a hassle to be on here and it seems the admins could care less.

I refuse to donate to a site that won't take the communities opinions into account. We are the ones who pay for the items you create, we basically pay your salary. You need to listen to us before most of the hardcore donators just stop. I know of 10 that refuse to donate a single cent to you and that's just the tip of the iceberg if Gaia keeps this up it will fail which may be what the admins/staff want.

I know I've preached this so many times, but I feel like Gaia is practicing the worst type of business model. The old REI bundles contained 4 REIs (3 old and 1 recolour) for if I remember, 1299GC? So that was around 324GC for each REI, and the value of the older ones were probably less since the recolour tended to be more popular.

Tat said, apparently Gaia feels it appropriate to more than triple the price of their old standard. Though they're more than tripling all of their cash incentives these days and having users close their wallets or leave the site at triple the rate emotion_facepalm
