Prison or jail system

My idea is a prison or jail system its when you break a simple rule in gaia and don't get banned but instead you go to prison everytime you log in a window pops out and your in jail chatting with other prisoners.

You can surf the whole gaia but you cannot chat go to towns/MTV etc.. make PMs and no gold rewards for surfing + 75% of your gold decreases

It's great that you have a good imagination,(personally I have a good one too) but we can't let imagination get in the way of the rules.

Gaia has rules and penalties in place for a lot of good reasons, so to make it like a game would not do well for them at all.

There are a lot of users who spend a lot of real life money on the site, while there is no rule to say that they have to, hackers/scammers need heavy punishment because besides stealing your pixel items they are actually invading your privacy.

Such a system would end up creating a problem of users not taking the rules seriously enough.

Gaia aren't being big bad meanies when their ban people, they are doing what they need to do to protect other innocent users and they own best interests.

Not a problem, other regulars of the Site Feedback let the fact that they have been here such a long time get in the way of their manners and general humanity.

I frequented another site a long time ago that had a system in place that yours reminds me of. I actually dont even know how well that worked out. But there are certainly some things that cannot be included in this idea.

As the other poster said, Gaia has in place its own rules and system. The same that most use I think. It would take a whole lot of doing and when "done" would include a whole lot of bitching because so many people would not be happy about them.

It might become a "heads up" for new commers. But in order for this to even work (and it would include a great deal more work for the Mods - and Gaia would have to "hire" more volunteers for this... probably 3 times as many as they have now), communication and exact impartation of said offense. And the "cut-off" time would have to be established to make it plain that by a certain time in point, a user should have learned.


In thinking about all of this, it might make things a bit... complicated.
