This is wonderful.

Very well said. It's a real shame that they don't really care, and they'll probably ignore this thread. Nevertheless I appreciate the effort, well put in a polite and respectful manner.

Also some words from the successful CEO of Amazon.com: Jeff Bezos

"If you do build a great experience, customers tell each other about that. Word of mouth is very powerful.

and

"You can do the math 15 different ways, and every time the math tells you that you shouldn’t lower prices because you’re going to make less money. That’s undoubtedly true in the current quarter, in the current year. But it’s probably not true over a 10-year period, when the benefit is going to increase the frequency with which your customers shop with you, the fraction of their purchases they do with you as opposed to other places. Their overall satisfaction is going to go up."

And there is one of the reasons why I shop at Amazon above nearly every other place online. The only other place I return to besides amazon is rightstuf (anime reasons obviously). BOTH go the extra mile when I bring up a subject that concerns me. Just wenesday I ordered a dvd set. I decided to change the payment method only a few minutes after and it then changed my date of arrival by a full day. One of the reasons I had ordered it then was so it would get here on friday. Sent an email thursday morning out addressing the concern and BAM not an hour later they upgraded my shipping on it to one day, free of charge.

I've stopped spending on Gaia. I won't do it until things are addressed besides victim blaming. WE as a community understand gaia needs money to run, we are not stupid. Yet they seem to think we are with the 'but we need money' line that they keep pulling.

Yeah, we know that. We were happy to give you money before all these odd changes in policy, lieing, promise breaking. One of the reasons why I buy gaia cash is so I can sell cash shop items on the MP. With how the economy is at the moment (their economist they talked to needs to rethink their calculations) I don't WANT to.

With the MASS rerelease of an old MC I don't want to spend any money here.

And I haven't.

I have no quams with buying digital only goods at forum sites. I drop 10-30 on guild wars 2 every month for fun stuff. That money used to be gaia onlines.

Not anymore.

Jesus Christ, someone send this to the top and distribute it to everyone along the way.
This is such good advice, I can't even.

Thanks for the support guys.

I'm going to add a bit next about the Flynn/Virtual Economy issues, but I want to get all my ducks in a row about it and approach it from a business aspect rather than a user aspect.
I am really looking forward to this.
I'm so happy that someone so well spoken and level headed is able to represent these concerns for the community.

In fact, I think I will link this thread into my signature. This deserves some attention.

Oh how I hope the decision making people will hear this and listen.
I look forward to stalk this thread, thank you for making it.

I trusted them until the ZoMG fiasco.

Same here. In fact, I think that's a common story with a lot of Gaians. The poor treatment and eventual abandonment of the zOMG MMO was (I think) the point where Gaia lost the trust of its users.

For that to happen this thread would have to get a lot more attention than it has so far. The big decision makers can't be bothered by little things until they become big things.

That might be but I'll still hope for it. Perhaps by word from people below or by the thread growing, either way is fine by me.

Good stuff!

What an incredibly well-written post! Thank you for saying it all so perfectly.

My trust in Gaia is now exactly ZERO, and your green, fuzzy bread analogy summed things up so well. A million kudos!

$50 for pixels that only exist in an online medium is absurd. I used to think $5 was a bit much for something that doesn't actually exist. But this is beyond ridiculous.
