If you dont want to spend real money on the site then dont? If people want to spend their money on useless virtual crap let em, why do you care? In the end Gaia DOES have to make money somehow or else guess what? No more Gaia.

Because it affects the rest of us, or have you not seen the MP lately?

Gaia's been doing fine up until now. I believe all these sales and Flynn's body parts are all to try and get money for this sister site they want to launch.
But if they need to bleed their users' wallets dry to fund such a thing, maybe they shouldn't do it at all.

I really haven't noticed anything but I also don't read the announcements or play games or buy things... But I understand that free entertainment websites and games need to make money somehow and they do that by OFFERING people premium services or fancy items. Gaia isn't the first one to do it and wont be the last. If you think they are just here to offer you a free source of entertainment you're wrong. It's a business and the moment it's not making them any money they will get rid of it.

This inflation is really annoying. When they first took the booty chests off i was happy to let all the item settle back down in price and boy was i so wrong. I was annoyed how fast they threw another chest in to increase the inflation. I just don't understand why only club vergo is able to get them and no one else. Gaia is pushing to much crap out they can't keep up it with some of the basic things on gaia. They screw quite a big load of users when the ceo got replaced it's not even funny anymore. Right now there doing whatever it takes to gain money. I'm not against buying gaia cash but when you get screwed over after you put gaia cash on your account and then you lose it a month later just to see what club vergo was like and what that shop sold it was so not worth it!

Yeah, as soon as you see what they're actually charging for those items it's like, "WHOA NOW, did I just read that right?"

That's true! Maybe better quality hairs too. Lately, all the new hairs have seemed a bit... gummy/pasty/blobby looking to me, which is a turn off. But all the hairs that come from cash items have nice detail and actually look how hair should look.

Exactly. There's MAYBE one hair I like in every batch they release.
Especially since people have to pay every time they want to change their hair, that's where they should be putting the high quality ones.

They've really been doing the reverse of what they should be doing and keep going down in quality instead of up like they should as time goes on and skills improve.

Would also be nice if they put some more focus into new house items and keep them all as gold items. I've noticed they seem to be updating the house items once, maybe twice a year. But I guess we can't complain too, too much about that since they had ignored that feature for years. But still, would be nice to see them update it more.

I greatly support the GC offers like the videos and such because advertisers help keep this site alive.
But that's who should be doing it.
They shouldn't be relying on their users to drop $50-$1,000 on ONE ITEM.
We're only boycotting GC until Gaia gets its act together and makes things reasonable again.
Besides, they'd probably be making more money if they were releasing this many cheaper GC items instead anyway because more people could afford them.

Yeah, all the extra stuff you could buy items for besides your avi has completely fallen to the way side.
They should try and get people more interested in those things again. Make them worthwhile.

I know i was like did i seriously waste 100 bucks just to see that shop where 100 buck's get you almost nothing! Gaia also screwed me over and banned my account. ( filed a ticket ) Hoping i get it back because i know i did nothing wrong. So all the money i wasted to get into the shop equals nothing just a waste of money and time. Gaia says after you file a ticket you should get a response within 7-14 days yet its almost been 2 months and no reply. It's seems like to me they been to busy pushing all this crap out then worrying about user's.

I do agree with you but disagree at the same time. There are people that just buy gaia cash because the cash tree is only for U.S unless they changed that while i took a month hiatus. Some people also buy gaia cash just to get donor status on Zomg to increase the daily amount they can earn on the game.
