So... protest buying gaia cash.. will.. fix the fact they need to keep pushing gaia cash to pay for things...? I don't understand the logic...

I don't mind the offers and items being pushed at me. Why? Because I don't have to buy. confused I look and go 'oh how nice i wish I could buy that maybe another time'.

Gaia won't stop with the offers or pushing to buy GC, because it has proved "successful" in their minds. So if people stop buying GC, then less of it would be spent on supporting these gold granting items like Flynn's Booty. When that happens, Gaia would be more apt to listen to its users and not release "Flynn's Booty" or any other item like it more than once in less than a month's time span. Does that clarify things?

I down voted the thread. I have no issue what so ever with what gaia is doing. They are running a bussiness and I am happy to support it. If I dont want to spend oney on gaia than I will just earn gold the old way. But In the end they have done nothing wrong what so ever/

If you can't see what they're doing wrong here than that's fine- but many of us can see, and we've had enough of it.

By the way, they may be running a business -but that doesn't give them the right to treat their userbase, their customers- like total garbage.
Your customers are your lifeblood, and that's true of ANY Business.
No customers, no money.
So you better treat them right and with respect, and show them that you appreciate them for supporting you.

Gaia is doing absolutely NONE of that right now.

Well every time I have had an issue with gaia they resolved it in a very good way. Most of what I see people complaining about is that items have gotten more expensive and they are upset because they feel entilted to get the item. So what is so wrong with re-releasing an item twice in a mouth

As what Ashikubi mentioned, it decreases the worth of gaia's currency and causes more problems.
When the worth of gold goes down, inflation goes soaring.
Did you ever learn about the Great Depression in 1930s? Treaty of Versailles?
Germany had to pay the states back a great deal of money. So Germany decided to print off a bunch of money to pay us back. Ergo, more money into circulation. That money is what helped the stock market crash which in turn led to people losing their jobs. That's just one real life example for you.

That is exactly what I've decided to do from now on. (Well, gold shop, event, other non CS items, and I'm wearing donation items from before the CS was introduced, which I feel are a different class of item when donating to the site was a good thing.)

I've always believed that as a gold only user that every time I've bought a recent CS release from other users I've been supporting Gaia indirectly. A large proportion of direct CS sales are made solely to sell on to other users, so unless the users that would normally buy these items for gold also stop supporting Gaia indirectly this 'movement' will not have much impact on Gaia's sales figures.

But at any rate I'm pretty much fed up with Gaia's attitude on a personal level. Even though I've indirectly bought tons of CS items I'm treated like a second class citizen, my feedback is ignored, and my concerns are treated with contempt. Since Gaia clearly doesn't give a ******** about me, I'm no longer going to buy CS items from other users.

I remember similar threads protesting buying gaia cash because gaia wouldn't listen to it's users a few years back

I am largely inactive anymore since lack of playable games (mouse track pad isn't the best and I don't have space for a mouse) as well as general lackluster. Been around since I was to say 2004? Used to love the debates on ED and the questionnairesfor gold on CB. I recently came back shortly to show my support for VizMedia's Tiger & Bunny and Aniplex's Madoka Magica. I think I was last honestly on this site for extended periods of time when they were advetising for the last mimsy and tsubasa.

I am highly unlikely to buy GC anymore. IRL finances take precedence as well as who needs $200 worth of pixels each month? I understand some of that money pays staff, programmers and servers but the number of users I see with rare cash items tellms me there is more than a handful of dollars floating around.

Feel free to add me to the list. Money involvement shouldn't outweigh actual gameplay involvement. I'm sure many of us buy from their sponsors and might do the monthly item. Monthly item ieven pushing what I used to spend. Off I go to be absent for X time again!
