So, you're telling me to not spend GC so the site will shut down? Because you know that will happen right? If us who buy GC, and trust me, I spend over 200 dollars a month on this site, it will get worse.

Gaia doesn't tell me to spend money.

Users didn't want advertising and Gaia toned that down. How do you think they pay their employees? Pixie dust? No.

It's people like me who spend money because we actually like the items. It's not a vending thing to me.

While I agree that's it bullcrap to have Flynn's Booty in the CS and CV again, it's ridiculous to ask people to stop spending money on this site.

If you read the thread closely, we're only asking people to stop spending GC until Gaia realizes they're insane and decide to shape up.

They need to get inflation under control.
They need to stop flooding the markets and the pockets of people who can afford it.
The site just isn't fun for a lot of us anymore because almost everything new is GC related anymore.

All we want is change. We're not looking to bleed Gaia dry so they shut down.

While I won't sign, I will say this:

As a member of Gaia for about ten-ish years, practically since I had access to the internet, the site's become gradually more and more about money and avatars and less and less about community and events. I remember my distaste most of all when the awesome events of old were replaced with chance items. I remember when getting a PM from an NPC was a huge goddamn deal and not adverts! Hell, I remember when NPCs posted in forums and story events happened in the headers / forums themselves.

Not to sound like a grouchy old man, but what happened to community events that changed the site and the plot? Do you guys remember the insanity that was the tower of Gambino? Those AWESOME events that made you feel included?

I mean

Who even uses or looks at the world map anymore?

If you group yuri and yoaoi under hentai, then I'll humbly accept what you say. I admit my comment that there is rather short sighted by implying that only men enjoy hentai. I hope you can also be mature enough to not go to such extremities by assuming that I was purposely making a sexist comment.

Whether you agree with what I say or not is up to you. But it doesn't hurt my pride to admit that I say things without thinking from time to time.

Since I believe you were genuinely trying to help me rather than simply add fire to kindle an argument, I too have a suggestion for you: You don't teach someone by telling them what they did wrong. You teach them by showing them what they should do that is right. I hope you'll do more of the latter and less of the former.

Yaoi and yuri are grouped with hentai because they are the sexual versions of boy-love (shounen-ai) and girl-love (shoujo-ai.) Er, maybe it could better be said that yaoi and yuri have much more sexual themes and instances of sex than shounen-ai and shoujo-ai, which are mostly centered around the romance (and may only have a few very modest sex scenes.)

It can get confusing because not everyone differentiates between the content. 3nodding

Thanks for taking the time to explain that :3 It always made sense to me that hentai was only boyxgirl, because yaoi = boyxboy and yuri = girlxgirl... Then what is the word when I want to refer to boyxgirl? Isn't that hentai (I thought)? Because when I googled hentai (yes I had to google that word back when I was like 11 XD), it's always girlxboy so yeah o.o

Oh, true that. Focus on the gold and the economy, it will result in more user goodwill. Those things affect everyone, not just money users.
