I post in forums and stockpile gold, then use it to buy people gifts at Christmas as an anon. Back in the 04 - 06 years I had so many anons being so generous, heck one of them gave me a Compass of the Seidth a couple of years back. So now I stockpile my gold to give back to the community.

I'm starting to save gold up again, though I tend to give at almost every event in the anon threads. I love trying to get people stuff off their wishlist. I usually go just for the chance of epic notes with the anon gifts. And there have been some awesome ones. I'm hoping my favorite is back with the Halloween event. I haven't gotten anything to great from the anons really but it's all in the giving for me.

You can put my name down, but I haven't bought Gaia Cash since Alchemy came out, and have resolutely adblocked and basically committed myself to being a drain on the site's resources since then. It's been a one-man protest, and I'm not gonna start doing cash offers and giving them ad money that way. My commitment to refusing not only to give money to Gaia, but to make sure Gaia doesn't make any money OFF of me, remains firm.

...maybe we should also start maybe some ideas to put on the first page as well? To keep things constructive and in the vein of "Site Feedback" so this thread isn't seen as just a bitching thread.

I'd be down for that. Do you have any suggestions?

I've been putting some of the opinions people have on the front page so that Gaia can see what kinds of things people are ranting about and aren't happy with.

I would love the truth from Gaia Staff/explanation on why they're doing this. Or an apology.

I've been putting some of the opinions people have on the front page so that Gaia can see what kinds of things people are ranting about and aren't happy with.

I do...maybe it's a bit dumb but worth mentioning.

We don't know how much has to be spent, what is needed, how much there is to go ....just to meet a quota for a month or three months, or whatever their plans are. So why not have....say...a little icon under the Gaia Online logo at the top left of our screens....nothing large and annoying or taking away from our avatars ( that are the main thing about this site, pretty much ). Have that sent us to a page that explains in some way how close we are to meeting certain goals... a meter of sorts maybe.

Apparently they have to have quotas met before they can really work on much else for this site, so why aren't they being open with us and update us often as to how things are going and where the site is currently sitting at the current quota?

Could they also have a list on that same page of things they plan to do or are currently working on? Can it be mentioned that if certain quotas are met each month or whenever they are that they will then have room to work on other things? Like what can they or are they working on? How far are these in completion? We need more updates on how things are just to know stuff is actually being done.

...all this could also be things mentioned in DJHelsing's videos as well to recap.

I love some of the notes I get from the anons, one of them was so nice it made me cry. The items / gifts mean nothing, I mean sure it is nice to get the occasional one that lets me remove something from my wishlist but the notes are what I love and the art that comes with some of them too. I try to make nice notes and such but I never think they're good enough, I'm not good with the 'feel good' stuff. Might do some fortune cookie things this year, make some random slogans up and such and send them through.

I like to go through peoples wishlists and get them something off it, just to help them out.

Anyway, this is going off topic XD

Hm, yeah I would call it a good thing.. Probably has to do with join date or something though.. I highly doubt they actually checked the ages behind accounts.
