Reen Star
My feelings exactly.

Have any of the white knights changed their opinions yet about all this or are they still okay with gaia totally shifting their approach towards us? Cuz to me, gaia used to be like, "you wanna cookie, Reen Star?" The cookie being a donation item or improved or new, loved site feature ( like gaia cinemas). I would be all, "yes please!" And give them my little allowance (my lunch money) or a hug (participating and helping the site to grow by being a regular member).

Now, however, it feels like gaia is asking me, "hey, Reen Star. You wanna cookie x bajillion (all the cash shop pushes in such a short amount of time)". And I pick out a flavor and they're expecting me to pay them with grocery money. They're like damn annoying Girl Scouts now that can't take a hint.

hahaha. I agree with this. XD

Careful with using the term "white knight". Users have been getting posts deleted and accounts banned for using it to describe Gaia's defenders. I got a post deleted last night for using it.

It's, apparently, derogatory now to refer to them as such. neutral

How in the HELL is that derogatory? D:<

Reen Star
Honestly, that's such a stupid reason to remove posts and ban people for. That's more of an abuse of power to me.

Agreed on this as well. I don't understand how it's wrong to defend someone...

Sign me up.

I actually joined in 08 thanks to my sister's friend. Gaia always filled with me with glee back then because they had some nice items and I didn't have to worry about spending $500 - $1000 on this site like I do now. Club Verge is honestly not worth it I mean come on how the heck is this something special to those of us who have spent GC on this site? I mean it's dumb as heck and a waste of shop space.
It's not even the significant rise in sales (that everyone has pointed out) that bugs me, it's the damn inflation. I can deal with sales just fine, but all of the stories about broken quests just gets to me... especially the ones that were so close to completion.

To those of you who lost out on your quests, you have my condolences.

HAHAHAHA I can only imagine what their concept of loyalty is, due to all the bullshit they've been doing to us all recently.

If its priced like dernier cri and they let it die quickly like most of their stuff, I wouldn't be surprised.

Honestly if I had the gold, and if there were more interesting things and if there were things released more often in Dernier*Cri, I would and I'm sure other people would spend more gold in there. There's probably only 4 or 5 items I like in that store. It's a worthy goldsink, but it doesn't work because there's just not enough of a variety of things that people would want to spend their gold on. While I've yet to even save up enough gold to buy anything from that store, but nonetheless, they just need more/better things in there.

Hell, some items with as many poses as their gaia cash stuff would be nice.

Not even just cash items in general - Have you noticed that items have less and less poses these days? More stuff like Death Whisper or Masquerade or the slightly more recent Secret Retreat, or Gogh Reed, Seracila Pendant, Infernal Spirit, Compass of Seidh, Nano-C... the list goes on, but there should be more items with multiple poses, those are the items that have a reason to be high-priced because they have so many poses. Yet more and more, items only have three to 5 or maybe 10 poses, but the ones that have loads like the items I listed off are seemingly dying out,j and I know for a fact tons of users, including myself, love an item with loads of different things in it.

Yeah, I noticed that about the items. I think they should focus more on creativity before they try to sell us these new Ei's that arn't even worth half their money.

I think they took care of the inflation problem with the event ^.^ But I agree the prices were getting ridiculous

The supposed halloween gold sink is a joke.
Who do you think is donating? not the greedy kids who try to scam people, but the ones who want to get rid of inflation.

It's just playing into the hands of the ones who want to drive the prices even higher as they can buy off everything because others have no gold left. lol

They just wait for people to make more gold or trade amongst themselves (the rich kids that is)

PS: also seeing the lack of intelligence they show in first place by driving prices up like this, i'd not be surprised if they don't even think that far as to who's gonna buy.

I'm sure as hell not donating any large amounts. I've only donated 500g and that's it.
That said, I guess no one will buy their items, so they'd HAVE to lower the prices. :T Or at least that's how I hope things will turn out. Either way, we have a goldsink for now, so hopefully it will help with the Flynnflation.

I donated 1mil for the prizes heart

I don't think prices are going to come down to a level the majority of us would consider reasonable. More gold has gone into the system from the Booty items than this event is capable of taking out, and once someone gets the idea in their head that they can sell an item for billions, that idea is hard to reason with, even if the environment doesn't support it.

People will invest thousands of dollars into antiques, under the impression that their collections are worth millions. When they find out they're only worth a few grand, they don't accept that reality, they go into denial and keep looking for new appraisals, new buyers, etc.

So I don't think inflation is coming down, at least not by the massive margin it jumped. People don't behave that way when it comes to wealth, in any context.
