No. You misquoted me because i didn't say ANY of the things there. You're thinking another user.
Sorry, but if you do in fact say
a company deserves to die off, you are condemning people to unemployment, both innocent parties and guilty.
The end.
Since I was the one who actually said it, and this has gone on way longer than I thought it would, here's my two cents.
If a site gets out of control with how much money it wants its users to spend, it does indeed deserve to die.
The consumers, us, are unhappy and unwilling to spend that money they need with how they're going about it, and any business who doesn't work with its consumers fails.
Yes, this would mean people losing their jobs, and that sucks, though I am NOT saying that's what I want like you want to go around telling everyone (hence you are indeed putting words in my mouth).
However, there are a ton of kids and high school-aged people on this site.
What the ******** is Gaia teaching them? That they have to spend money to look good and be awesome.
They're convincing kids to be ultimate consumers, and if Gaia keeps going the rate it does, I hope it dies, no matter how many jobs are lost.
We don't need any more things in society teaching our kids these awful habits and traits.
I would PREFER that they change their business model from greedy back to social, but if that's not going to happen, well...
And on another note, I'm pretty sure a majority of Gaia "employees" are volunteers who don't get paid, and the some of the lower ones who do get paid very little.
This still is a FREE social media site, so how many people do you honestly think are on their payroll, hm?
