I've been on Gaia for a grand total of 3 days and I'm already getting fed up with the pop up adds that are asking me to throw $50 at them for a SINGLE item that is used for nothing but appearance on my avatar.

I don't like to complain, but that's pretty horrible.. Like going to a convention and getting that annoying guy that walks out of his stand and tries to hawk his overpriced, useless crap at you. You tell him you don't want it, but he just won't take no for an answer.. And I assume, just like the annoying guy, Gaia does it to every single person that goes by whether they look remotely interested or not.

I mean.. At least tailor the adds to people's interests or what they seem to like to buy or something. Better yet, make these ads so you can say "do not show me this ad again." If I wasn't interested the first 5 times, the ad getting shoved in my face another 5 times is not gonna change my mind.

Won't say I won't spend money on Gaia Cash, but if things keep on their current path of Gaia hawking it's junk at me, whether it's something I'd like or not, then I might take that pledge to not buy ANY Gaia Cash.

I never said it was 'magical'. I have yet to be given proof that they don't have gold generators.
And they can talk the talk, but they've yet to show us they're actually doing s**t about it. I don't see any effective and worthy goldsinks, do you? Noooope.

There was a statement released at an ATA a long while back saying that they cant generate gold and that one dev only got his SDP doll gifted to him from a user. Unfortunately I don't recall when it was to be able to find the quote. But it doesn't make sense that they would be buying items in the MP. You'd figure more people would post "hey so and so staffer bought X from my store!" in the GCD.

Goldsinks are coming. lol Perhaps not very good ones, or even ones that will put a dent in the inflation, but they're coming. Although you could perhaps count the headphones/devils tail items as a partial gold sink since they're in the GS. As well as the not-yet-replaced barton booty.

What pitiful goldsinks they're going to release will take forever to actually put even the slightest mark on the hell they've already caused by releasing so much gold into the Gaian economy. Anyone with the most basic understanding of economics would know that if you pot more money into a system, the prices of everything will go higher. And yes, we can apply real rules of real economics here because there's real people selling things in the MP, which is pretty close to how it works in real life.
