After it ended I was hoping this would all blow over. I guess not.

They honestly couldn't give less a damn about their users anymore.
Sitefeedback is nothing but a joke now. They refuse to listen to us because
our suggestions don't make them happy and overflow their stuffed wallets.
Despite how pissed everyone was about flynn's booty, they brought her back.
Not once. Not twice. But three to four times. And they honestly think small
efforts like barton boutiques package or the small shop update for Dernier Cri
will make us happy. Not even. There's too much damage done.

They didn't listen to us about Flynn's booty.
They didn't listen to us about the centering of the site.
They didn't listen to us when we tried to warn them about the inflation.
They didn't listen to us when we asked, no, begged for less cash shop offers.
They didn't listen to us when we expressed our anger for club verge.
And they sure as hell won't listen to us now.

They ask for our feedback in polls and in ask admin but the important questions
are never answered. They continuously make horrific mistakes that are clearly pissing
off their users and they don't care because it's making them money. They talk about
growing costs but I sure never heard of anything large enough to change the costs they've
had over the past five years, have you? It certainly couldn't be from the numerous games
they've added, never finished, and then thrown away. Or the features that went un-updated?

I honestly just feel sick to my stomach about all of this and I'm incredibly disgusted and
astonished as to where this has all gone. They did a complete turn around and have become
exactly what they said they wouldn't. Or rather what we didn't want them to be.

It's all about money now. Site feedback? It doesn't matter. As far as they're
concerned they'll only have to answer to the questions that don't make them
uncomfortable or don't need some serious explaining. That should assure us
of their presence here right? That they "care"? I'm so sick of hearing the
excuses. Especially when it's clear where the numbers lie.

Oh, a small amount of you vote neutral in a poll of yes or no? No has the most
votes? When you said neutral you must have meant yes.... right?

Oh, Flynn's booty is causing inflation that's lasted over two months?
A million is basically 10k now? Lets re-release her again! And again, since
you keep mentioning you're hatred for her and her 'booty'. Lets add a couple
of chests in there too. After all we're sure she'll grow on you. You have no
choice but to adapt to these changes! smile

They can't, I've heard staff answer this suggestion many times. The profiles and accounts work on a number system--if they delete one, it all falls apart.

they could, though, delete all the information from the profile and just leave it there to rot. . . but I doubt they will.

That's disappointing. Another site I'm a member of also works off of the number system, but it's behind the scenes and only shows through the avatar links. They delete accounts all the time for inactivity, and nothing has fallen apart on them.

If one can do it, why can't another?

Or it might just be an excuse, because if Gaia deleted old/banned/inactive accounts their 'membership' numbers would go down, resulting in less ad/sponsor revenue. All those banned troll accounts might look like wasted space to any reasonable person, but to an advertiser it looks like a potential customer.

Anybody ever consider that the exclusive club verge forums make site feedback obsolete? In making an exclusive forum the staff know immediately whose opinion matters and whose doesn't.

Sorry if I went on a bit of a rant, there- no offense to GAIA or anything. I just feel like something needs to change- you need money, then ask for donations and offer rewards in gold for them. Another site I know of runs just fine with that- recently got a new server, too.

I'd much rather see that than a site with real life money being thrown around everywhere.

Also, I have 66 GC, what was left over from my old account, which my older brother made for me. He paid for some of the items that are on my avatar, too.
Just so you guys know that, had I had knowledge of this, I wouldn't have let him. ^^'

I would never buy GC.. They are money hungry. I know it cost money to run Gaia but everything doesn't deserve to cost real money. I was looking at the settings and I saw it cost money to disable ads. I have ad blocker in place but still it is messed up.
