You idiot- this is a thread for help with bugs and suggestions for the ARENAS. Make a NEW THREAD in the FEEDBACK FORUM instead of clogging up this one.

And you're not supposed to email admins/devs/ect., so no wonder they ignored you.




As for the stuff about previous week's av results not showing up right away, please read the past few pages of the thread where 50 other people have already said the same thing, and also said that it does show up after awhile.

No wonder the devs lose their minds whenever they try to open up the floor to general comments- people don't read, they quote the first post for shits and giggles, and then more idiots try to post unrelated things because they think it'll make their idea that much more acceptable when really the opposite is likely to happen.

I wanted to comment about the "SKIP" text, being made bigger or turned into an actual button. Because at times, I can't click on it, even if my mouse Pointer is directly on it.

You end up moving the pointer around the area, in order to wait for the pointer to turn into a finger, so you can skip the entry.

The Arenas are an absolute mess.

We really don't need 10 spots for cosplay and 10 spots for original. We just get a bunch of junk in the end, why not try 5 for each?

Also, a LOT of people haven't gotten their gold. I know it sounds petty, but no one's said anything or even acknowledged the problem. I read, before I entered, that I might have to wait as long as 4-6 weeks. I can wait, but I have a sinking feeling that I'm not going to get the gold that I won for week 45. If you're going to promise a prize, it'd be nice if they were delivered.

Developers should fix all the glitches in the arena, give out all the prizes due before moving on to something else. This is the avatar arena,and avatars and forums are the basis of Gaia.

Please just make a note of gixing the prizes and give gold to the people who are owed money. I'm tired of Gaia not mentioning glitches (like those months when our inventories were screwed up and Gaia didn't say a thing.)

I don't mean to be nasty, but the lack of feedback and gold promised, especially when things are broken, isn't worth it. People pay good money for this site.

This thread, whether you care about it or not, is ABOUT the arena. Therefore, take your crap to the main FB forum, NOT here. Gaia will only pointedly ignore anything and everything you have to say when you derail a thread with offtopic nonsense.

.....and no, I don't have respect for anyone with the comprehensive capacity of a hedgehog- learn how to read, please.

I still wish we could vote in half stars (thus a voting system with as much versatility as the 1-10 system while still being in the star format. After all, the results come out in less than whole stars in the end anyway) and that the arenas at least gave the option to set it to whether you wanted to view avatars enlarged like they are now or at normal size. emo

I was really bummed when it stopped showing you the average vote for an entry after you placed your own vote. I just like knowing!

I think the 5 star system is fine.

My suggestion for the arena's the overall rating of some avi's needs to be changed. I noticed especially for this month not that great of avi's were winning. For instance Winner #4, everyone pretty much placed in bad comments of why did it win in the first place, or get there. If you look at the two last pages its a bunch of newbs bumping and voting big. Were not saying its a bad avi its just half of those don't deserve to win compared with other submissions aka a broken system.
Maybe it would help if Members at at least 1year who are active can vote...that would limit people randomly making accounts to vote or side accounts. Maybe mods can go through the winners first and remove any out of place winners. I dont think ill be using the arena after that sad display.

The main feedback I have, is simply to state that the quality of
the winning avatars has declined so much I hardly ever bother
to go to the arenas anymore. The images are pixelated, which
makes it difficult to see what the avatar looks like as a whole,
and the rating system allows people with a few mules to up-rate
their own avatars to win. It is by no means a fair system.
In the old days, one or two terrible avatars would leak in every
once in a while, but now one or two awesome avatars win.
That's just wrong.

Why don't the winners of the Home section of the Arena win anything? That's not really fair if the people are paying to be entered with no hopes of a cash prize or anything of that nature. Just some food for thought.
