but i hope you aren't the only transaction being reversed

i heard a 25T transaction and 10T transaction, are those going to be reversed as well

so basically they are overpaying for items to post in plunder, to be likely be sold for way less - doesn't that kill the point of gold sink?

They have test servers, if they really needed to test things, why test on the live site?

the only thing being tested here is our patience

Ehhhhh. I know that they're backlogged with tickets and all, but if you were to purchase a ticket a very large sum of gold (95%) of it would still go into circulation... in fact, more gold gets into circulation this way because it comes from an external stock (of gold)?? That would mean some extra 126T still made it into the system, and one ticket that could be listed for lower eventually would be removed... so yeah! It cause some trouble in the MP and scare a few people haha. whee

I think a good idea would just not release anymore tickets. sweatdrop The tickets got the CIs to sell very well, but it came back and bit the staff in the foot since a lot of people bought heaps of them and earned more tickets than expected. Then the people making the items and recolors would get really tired.

Just generate more high-end items and pump them in? I don't think most of us mind not having a chance at a ticket. yum_puddi In fact, why not let the users help make donating fun as well? Like, umm, donate X amount of gold to submit a drawing of your own to be featured in a header/blog, or something? Your artists wouldn't need to do the work. Most of us love the spotlight and having a chance to have anything of ours featured would make us happy anyway. You've got a creative userbase and a lot of people love to share!

The situation is just a tangled mess. Gaia screwed up and lied to cover to trails. Gaia gets caught and is probably lying again to cover to trails. Gaia staff members aren't necessarily accredited to be the most reliable or honest people anymore these days. Either way, it was fully Gaia's wrong and you shouldn't be penalized for it. I could understand if the gold was exploited or what not, but it clearly wasn't.

The fact of the matter was that Gaia was just too damn lazy to reproduce one more ticket amongst the many tickets they love to provide chances to obtain when money is involved.

Dammit Gaia, stop being so sketchy and secretive. I wouldn't be surprised if Gaia mules have purchased other tickets to possibly remove them from circulation for other purposes.

Holy s**t.
My boyfriend who doesn't even care about Gaia (he only has an account to talk to me at work) is like "omg holy crap wtf? -speechless-"

if they wanted items for Flynn's Plunder, couldn't they.... IDK make them appear out of thin air!?

He mentioned they didn't want to create a ticket that way because it would create more work for the artists, which would be true considering tickets are a promise of service. However many there are, that's how many projects an artist will inevitably have to spend time on. I can understand why they didn't want to generate another one, but the way they got a ticket is probably the worst possible way they could have. Like, it's almost comical how terribad this situation is.

But a real business wouldn't be blowing smoke up customers asses. They talk a good game but they can't seem to actually play the game.

Just real communication (Like the threads I made about this in 05 on) and some ******** truth would have avoided this whole ridiculous shitstorm that will probably rage on for a couple more days.

OMG, I was pretty much gone from gaia for a couple of days because of my busy life, and this happened????!!!!
This is insane!!
What happened to the Gaia staff???|!!
I couldn't never have guessed that the gaia staff could do this to us!!
I feel so badly treated as a gaian user. How unethical!!
I am completely going to quit gaia if they don't give a better explanation for all this soon.
I have lost all hope on Gaia.
I bet the gold i didn't get a chance to buy stuff with these past few days has become worthless now.
i dread how much excess gold in total was pumped into the gaia economy by their filthy and generated testing gold.

Subscribing to the thread to check back in tomorrow since I have to log out, but one last point ...

In the TOS aren't all MP sales FINAL? Even if the staff were using a mule, they can't (by their own rules) force you to reverse the transaction if you don't want to. They could if it were a first time mistake purchase, but as is proved in the PMs above it was no mistake. So by Gaian "law" that 133T is yours to do what you want with. They made their bed, now they can lay in it. They should have known dumping 133T into the system would cause an uproar, nevermind the sketchiness that it happened with an Admin mule and the fact that they lied. It's like adding water to an overflowing pot, especially when the userbase is already angry with Gaia in general.
