1. Add interior to 24/7 24/7
2. Add interacting objects to 24/7 24/7
3. Add car race mini-game from O.G rally
4. Add the ability to change the time of day
5. Add ability to get on the roof of 24/7/24/7


1. Interiors are something I'd like to have somehow. I've found some art I think would work well for them.

2. Yeaaa, I want to add object interaction to the client eventually!

3. Hmmm, idk what kind of car-based minigame we'll have but it will be after the feature for summoning them in their parking spots.

4. The way the lighting is done is a baked version which is good for performance. I cannot have both the lighting quaility and performance this high will also making the time of day dynamic unfortunately.

5. I don't really want the roof filled with players sorry =P

ah cool! Lol I understand the last one, I can see someone figuring out a gltich for it soon though, are you developing this all by yourself using objects found in the unity store? Can I ask how do you become a developer for this site? ninja

I'd be surprised if someone could find a glitch like that. But I suppose it's possible, I don't have anything written for movement anticheat yet. I only have the anti-speed hack anticheat stuff half done.

Yes I essentially develop this alone. L0cke and others I think in the past worked on the base Rally3D map which I was sent. I stripped that down, optimized it, and the the lighting and made some extensions/additions. But aside from that, yea I wrote all the code =3 and continue to do so. I don't know what the previous team licensed but I spent $10 on some animated emotes on the assetstore lol. One of those is the demo emote we use ingame currently.

As for how I came to be developing this... Well, since about 2016 I made GaiaOnline Unity demo/prototype videos on YouTube. I guess my latest one which I posted on a new channel here got some attention from some of the peeps at Gaia and Lanzer decided to give my project idea a shot.

This was the video I guess they most recently saw that maybe had some influence (there is also a thread somehwere on Gaia I posted in over the years of some prototypes like that)

nice! after reading that you managed to keep hacking out of the game I would be surprised if someone finds a way too

nice! where did you learn coding or are you self-taught? I kind of wanted to get into doing that a bit but not sure if it would be difficult to learn on my own. Atm I'm just building 3D models debating on switching to environment art and product art. Nice! 10$ is a good price! I love the emote it's pretty funny and reminds me of one from the towns area.

Hello friend, you must use modern browsers like Firefox or Chrome or something. Not Waterfox. It's 100% incompatible with Waterfox.

New version live!

Version 0.0.97:

* Copy Paste will now function with external clipboard data. Essentially, you are now able to copy paste stuff from outside of the game.

* Added several new GM announcement commands

* It's now possible to post links. Right now only GMs can post links but eventually there will be support for linking to things for all players within the GaiaOnline domain

* Many GM commands no longer require quotes around simple one string arg commands

* New Server Message of the Day feature now exists to serve player's info

Hello my friend! I do have a suggestion! (not sure if it's been a recommendation already)

Possibly if this is just for setting or own name color but I still don't haven't a plan for setting other player's names. Possibly may implement a way for friends to show slightly green tinted names though.

1. Add areas that are abandoned on VH for example the Valentines Area no one can access to it (maybe if it's not too loaded)
2. Seasonal events for example Winter, Summer, Valentines etc have special events or any event would make people chill more on rally.
3. Spreading the word to all your friends, tell them there is a NEW AMAZING RALLY!
4. Make an option for 3D/2.5D options optional when entering the 3D rally some graphic cards/computers don't support the 3D line for example mine due to Graphic issues.
6. Make an AFK area haha (jk) I already suggested this.
7. Car racing, maybe in the future we can have some fun with car racing, the same as with activities and such if it's not too heavy.
8. Maybe adding a banner/tv something like April's Fool Day to the main page will totally bring more people?
9. Maybe have an option to put colors to names unlike admins/mods so we don't get confused if chat is going fast.
10. I'm not sure if it's even possible to use one of those stores and expand it inside like for example Towns 1 Cafe.
11. You could also add some hockey/tennis, some sport type thing so people have fun.
12. I know this is impossible lol but having a theater would be so amazing, brings nostalgia to the old times.
13. Make the ability to add friends, if possible, rather than searching for them manually.
14. Can we have bugs to catch now that Towns 1 does not work?
15. Can we have the Rally shopping cart back?

1. I will try to add future worlds/areas if possible. So, maybe that is one that could exist. I don't really know where/when/if the project will extend beyond Rally3D.

2. Seasonal events sound awesome! I'm just a programmer but I'll try my best to add stuff if I can.

3. Hehe, well I've shown everyone I can. It's up to all of you to share it now ^,^

4. 2.5D is basically 3D, so if it cannot run 3D it cannot run 2.5D but if you mean performance-wise that's probably true but I don't have a good way to detect when a PC GPU is weak enough that maybe 2.5D should be preferred.

6. AFK where ever ya wanna, it's a free Rally3D!

7. I want to be able to summon our cars eventually, it's plannned. No idea if we will have any racing mechanic.

8. Lanzer would have to decide that there is a compelling reason to do that. I would not personally suggest it. I cannot do it personally.

9. Some peeps have asked for this, I don't have a good way to support this and don't plan to support colored names. Especially because it wouldn't save and it wouldn't be a feature other peeps see.

10. Interiors I'd have to have somehow at some point.

11. Stuff like that might get added but a lot of tech is missing from the client to support it.

12. A Theater is high on my list of projects I want to work on if given the chance. It would be awesome!

13. We can /addfriend already ingame =)

14. I think bugs like that could return maybe? Lanzer said he wanted something to gather in Rally3D. I don't what that would be or when.

Well, yea there are some anti-cheat features in this client already. By design, the networking is resistent to many basically "hacks" a player might try to do in an online game. The anti-speedhack feature is only half done though.

Hmmmm, well I went to university for abit. It helped teach the fundamentals but that's like 5-10% of it. To create complex software I think you need to try to build it. So I would say most of what I know is from experience or from learning/teaching myself. I studied everything I could relevant to the topics I was interested in which was games networking, specifically for MMORPGs. World of Warcraft has been a great technical case study imo =P. I cannot do 3D stuff but you can make some really awesome stuff with those art skills, and enviroment design skills! I'm pretty much still just like basic at that kind of stuff. I cannot make any art, but I can light a scene and optimize it, I have some changes planned to the layout of Rally that need to happen to have some better perf on low-end devices in some sight lines.

Glad you liked the video ^,^! I hope I can create something like that for Gaia one day!

I don't see a clear solution to this error in browsers, other Unity WebGL developers have encountered this in compressed builds but ours is uncompressed at the moment. If possible, wiping the cache for this page somehow would help. I don't have steps to provide for that though.

Alright, are these browsers fully up to date? And what platform are you on, is it Windows? Is it possible during loading the client you can hit F12 to pull up the chrome dev console and open up the Network tab and take a screenshot of any failures there?
