Thank you for the kind comment emotion_bigheart . It was really bad in August when there was over 500 announcements that month @_@, and July not falling too far behind. I want to know Gaia Staff's honest opinions with regards to the cash shop spam though. I can't imagine anyone in their right mind thinking that all these announcements and sales considering the size of Gaia is anywhere near reasonable. Then again, it seems as though Gaia Staff cannot criticize any part of Gaia or they'll be sent to the guillotine xd .

We do get gold shop updates, however, they're extremely small... It would be nice to get more gold shop updates, but as of the last year, it feels as though Gaia is just giving us the bare minimum.

One a month, actually. They just get buried under all the cash shop announcements. I log in periodically throughout the day so that I don't have that happen to me. I just click through the announcements and move on to the next unless the NPC is someone other than admin or Jet & Cygnus (which one's which, btw? I still can't tell).

I wish they'd stop spamming all this stuff. It makes them seem desperate. Which I think may actually be par-for-the-course for you-know-who.

Jesus. 500+ announcements in June? Really? Even though the announcement seem to be decreasing that's still way too much. Looking at your graph I see we had 300+ announcements last month, while that's not 500 announcements it's still pretty ******** bad.

I'm glad I let my announcements max out a year ago. I wouldn't be able to deal with this much spam a month...

10 announcements a day is obnoxious let alone 500+ for a month. That's average ~16+ a day when distributing evenly.

I don't see why they don't condense the announcements on a daily basis. One announcement on all the new items AND the ones leaving that day. They very well can do it, it's the simplest thing ever, they simply do not want to. I want to know if them spamming us to infinity and beyond really improves their sales...

I think the reason they don't is because the only people who buy GC now are a subset of those who can tolerate the bombardment of announcements. I think there are so many people who are just done with ever spending on Gaia again - the metaphorical event horizon (point of no return) for many people, that even if Gaia had 2 announcements a day, they still wouldn't spend given all the crap Gaia has spewed out over the last year and a half. Of course, that's no excuse for spam of announcements we're already getting xd .

Maybe, just maybe, the bombardment of announcements improves their sales with those who still spend on Gaia, but it surely isn't promoting new or frustrated users to spend that's for sure. Instead, it's just a pure nuisance.

This is horrible..

I'm not going to bother clearing them anymore. It's a waste of my time. True, it only takes a few seconds, but I shouldn't have to clear away spam.

I think there has been a few petitions regarding the announcements. Then again, the most Gaia will do as of late is reduce the number of daily announcements down to 8-12 a day (as opposed to 16-17+ daily).
