I say embrace the consequence, once you bid you'll be betting your golds in the line.

If you win the bid you should automatically acquire the item and pay for what you bid, that way trolls won't be trolling and people will take this seriously.

Yeah.... Seeing this implemented, I don't understand it now... It looks like people are just bidding to up the price as well. I really don't see the sense in bidding when there's still like 23 hours left on the clock. It's just adding to the price and you're not going to win it if you bid at that time... Just a waste of tickets. And the 30 second reset for timer... It does seem unending. =/ I doubt I'll be using the few tickets I bought, once I realized this system is harder than previously conceived for winning...
Hopefully the rare items will drop in price, though...

Gaia should really let people know that you actually have to pay the price of auction that it has been bid up by the end, in addition to paying for bids.

I don't think people realize this, as they're bidding the items up significantly higher than they're even worth on the MP.

Personally I knew that you have to pay for the item, not just the bids, because that's how websites like Beezid and those work. This system is the same idea.

But apparently a lot of people don't realize that.

You know that BidBlast feature they just added?

Well there's one thing up for bid right now, a MoMo Backpack, right.

On the MP you can buy one for like, 155k gold.

The people who are bidding on this item have bid it up to 202k and it's still going up.

Basically the system works like places like, Beezid, and those ones.

You purchase bundles of bids, then use one bid every time you want to bid on the auction.

Basically the idea is to get stuff for a lot cheaper than you'd get it anywhere else. The site makes money off all the bids people pay, and one person will get a brand new car at a 60% discounted price. Winning an auction on those sites is sort of like winning a very proactive lottery that you have to compete in to win.

However, I don't think the people bidding on that MoMo Backpack for the Gaia BidBlast realize that you still have to pay for the auction price, whatever it ends up at by the end of the auction, if you're the winner. You don't get it for free just because you bid.

So bidding on an auction that is already 50k gold over the price you could get it on the MP is completely nonsensical. Not only are you wasting the bids that you payed for, but now you have to pay for an over-priced item you could get for a lot less somewhere else.

See basically, on sites like Beezid, etc, you can get REALLY good deals. Only one person in thousands will get them, it's like winning the lottery, but there is a chance you could get say, a brand new Shelby GT mustang for like, $1500 flat or less-- plus what you payed for in bid bundles.

But when the items can be purchased for less at other places-- the MP-- than what the auctions go up to in this system, it renders it pointless and imbecilic, just a trap for anyone who doesn't understand how it works.

Gaia needs to clearly state that you have to pay for the ending auction price

Seeing we have tons of fellow gaians who're doing this.

And like everyone else is saying, Gaia needs to make it clear that you need to pay for it after you win.

The 30 second thing isn't such a good idea. The Elegant White Satin coat was still bidding on < 30 seconds overnight. Will it ever end?

i think its stupid i mean the clock shouldn't reset to 30 when a new person is the high bidder it is wasting tickets and peoples gold if its gonna be a bid you should bid ur highest amount of tickets enter it in and then end the bid and who ever bid the most should win i just wasted 7k on tickets and went thru them because the clock kept restarting pls fix this

Right now this is not much different from bidding on the MP: except this costs you money to bid and you don't have to even buy it.

That stupid coat is being bid on the 30s rule and has been that way for about a day...when will it end? And I seriously doubt anyone is paying the 360k+, especially when they don't have to.

It'll end when people can get it cheaper on the marketplace. That's how. Seriously though, this is another half-baked idea from gaia's staff. (Or is it an idea from idiot interns?) If Bid Blast only contains rare, sought after items, they'll stop being rare and sought after (assuming people are willing to shell out for this).

I think people will just use bots the same way it's done on Ebay. Set bot to bid at a certain time and then the IRL people have no chance at the item. I think it's only going to be used by those who don't understand that bots will always win and they insist on spending their gold on it...

At first, I loved the idea of the Bid Blast...

But now...Watching the price going up to ridiculous prices of the Elegant White Satin Coat and looks like Momo is doing the same....I really have no interest in bothering myself...I don't even understand why people are continuing to bid on this items when the items are so much cheaper in the marketplace. :/

I'm probably the only one but I think if anything the tickets should be a good bit higher. 8k for 1k tickets is REALLY cheap. So cheap, that it just makes troll bidders all the more willing to just waste away tickets since they could just get another 1k with a few games of Booty Grab.

It might be a lil cold, but I think actually raising the price of tickets might help a good bit. 100 gold a ticket is kinda of a lot but enough that even your average user could buy like 100 tickets without having to sell their whole account and still have a decent number of chances to bid.
