I was lucky enough to unpack most of mine before the Gates causing crashage... but I feel that those who didnt get to should get something in return because now 95% of the gates contents are worthless and those are the items we get 5-15 of each from the gate... I feel a bit jipped because I spent 5bil that I was saving for quests.
There's no need for compensation. s**t happens, sometimes stuff breaks when you don't expect it to. Gaia can't predict stuff like that , I don't think anyone actually lost anything??
Well, other than the fact that those that did the kickstarter were supposed to be able to open theirs at the beginning so they could sell it and make profit. Now the marketplace is flooded (comparitively) with the items people got from the unlocked RIGs in Loyal's shop....which I can't buy because I put my gold into the kickstarter. So I lost out big time.
They should have locked all of them/removed them from loyal's until this was fixed. Now the only incentive to participate in the kickstarter is gone, just too late to prevent anyone from wasting their gold. That's the problem. I put almost all my gold into it since it had somewhat reasonable tiers. Now I have essentially nothing for it. I won't be doing any more kickstarters...I have no more gold to reach any future tiers and I'm not wasting what I have on rewards that I won't get (because the RIG isn't the reward really, it's opening it ASAP that is, to either have the items first, or to sell them for the mentioned profit)
Ah, I see. I've never done the kickstarters with the intention of making money off them, mostly because i know most of the items aren't gonna be worth anything in the end.
but that sucks sad Sorry to hear that
-stares at trade- -stares some more- IS IT REAL?
I mean, I'll probably like some items and want to keep them, but I wanted to make some of it back for the next kickstarter to at least get the first tier which is usually an achievement.

As someone who doesn't have access to Loyal's shop and totally missed the chance to unseal all her gates before they got resealed, I am personally really mad. Now I'm stuck with over a hundred relatively useless items that I could sell, but unfortunately wouldn't be worth much of anything. I personally like the idea of them adding the last 5 items we didn't get to unlock in the kickstarter as apology, especially since that would make the gates value go up again.
I also agree that if we can't unseal ours, Gaia should have locked or removed all the other gates from Loyal's shop so that we all could be on a more level playing field.
While it is a nice thought, I have been on here for 8 years and they're has always verb issues. We aren't going to get anything for our waiting time except more time to have to wait and a thrown out there apology. Gaia had gotten much worse over the years.... I miss Gaia from before the inflation... things were simpler.
Wait, everybody else that brought their gates after the kickstarter ended can open theirs, while we, the donateors, have to bloody wait? That's a double standard right there. We have to wait because of a inventory problem, while everybody else can just buy and open theirs....Figures. Also I know that the animal avatars don't have that many items to choose from, but the four single gates I opened were nothing for my human avatar. Only got one animal avatar item that looked interesting, the other three were just shirts.

I can't agree with you more. Ever since inflation got out of hand with the gold gens and the daily CASH SHOP THIS, GAIA CASH THAT stuff, Gaia really has gone to crap. I still stay on here for my friends and rping, but as far as how the site has evolved, I'm far from impressed.

The cash shop is the worst. I don't know about you but I'm broke and any money I do get, cannot be used for fun, just school. Gaia is only fun for me for the outfits honestly, because my friends all got tired of their crap a while ago. They hardly push out affordable items and the ones they do aren't very impressive usually. It's ridiculous. And don't get me started on the millions of recolors that they release RIGHT AFTER they let out a new item.
We don't need compensation for this.
Gaia doesn't owe us to make RIGs that can be purchased with gold.
We're lucky to have that as a feature and receive premium item recolors for gold.

I totally understand where you're coming from. I don't really have the funds for the cash shop, though I do rarely purchase gaia cash if there's something I reeeeeally want (mainly because hell if I can afford it otherwise). The most ridiculous thing is the freaking limited quantity items. Why should we put a limit on pixels that we are spending up to $10 on? More importantly, why should we put a limit on pixels? All it does is serve to make those who can afford to spend money on this site richer and make those who don't or can't poorer. And YES all the recolors. All I have to say is the animal version of the Dragonslayers. Two in one day. Really Gaia?
When the cash shop first came out, I didn't really have a problem with it. After all, websites do need funding and they used to have unique, interesting items. It's just that nowadays, it's less like funding the website and more like trying to squeeze Gaians for every penny.
If only we at least got semi-regular gold shop updates...

I know what you mean. The cash shop is a temptation. Big time. But the amount of updates is ridiculous. Bunches every day and then they update gold shop items every blue moon and most of the time it's all gold sinks. I rant about it often.

That is very, very true. Most the recent gold shop updates are too costly for the items worth. Then again, what good does ranting and raving do at this point? We aren't the only ones who are a little bit disgruntled by the whole thing, to say the least. But Gaia has turned a blind eye to every single thread I've frequented on the issue.
But alas we've also digressed from the topic. Back to your main point, it's absolutely true that Gaia will do nothing about the Gates aside from issue said Staff Update that they had earlier.
