Jason "Jace" Broderick
Jace was definitely not setting a good precadent for himself with these two, as he'd struggled to get Gibbs to let go of the poor eevee. The trainer who apparently owned the pokemon was snapping at him to make Gibbs stop, which was warranted, while the person that had been sitting with the girl was interjecting himself into the situation. This interjection bothered Jace a bit but he kept that to himself. It was clear that Jace didn't intend for this to happen, yet this dunce was making it seem like he was doing this on purpose. He was relieved though when he was finally able to reel Gibbs in, keeping a tight grip on the land-shark who after having been snuffed on the treats for his actions seemed rearing to go for a second round at the eevee. So, Simon kept a firm grip on the small pokemon. Jace needed to take him out of the town so that the small pokemon could blow off some steam.
Jace offered a small nod to her statement about Gibbs being lucky that the eevee hadn't evolved yet, which was true but he didn't suspect that it would have dissuaded the ball of teeth any. He had a tendency to bite off more than he could chew if Jace wasn't keeping him in check. She proceeded to berate him for the action of his pokemon and that he should get a handle on the small pokemon. Something that was much easier said than done when it was insistent on being a troublemaker, which was a trademark for most gibles. After it seemed that the girl was done berating him, she'd turned her attention to her friend, whom Jace was for the most part ignoring, despite the fact that the guy's pokemon had just evolved.
With Jace's free hand he pulled out a small container of poketreats and held them out to Anita and said, "I know it doesn't fix things but they're my apology. They're treats that I made from berries that I collected." He hoped the gesture would ease some of the anger that was being directed at him. If Anita would accept the offer, he'd give a small smile but if not, he'd return the treats back to his bag before returning Gibbs to his pokeball. It wasn't often that he put his starter into his pokeball but it tended to set the precadent with the land-shark that his behaviour wasn't acceptable. So, instead Jace let Loretta out of her pokeball so that she could stretch her wings. He did his best to let his other pokemon out of their pokeballs out every so often, his corphish was much like Gibbs, a loaded canon that could go off at any moment due to her sassy nature. Loretta on the other hand was more docile and quickly settled herself in his arms.
When Anita mentioned that he should head over to nurse Jenny too, he offered a small nod and after having heard the mention of her intending to challenge the gym today he spoke, "The gym isn't too tough, I just beat it not too long ago actually. Do you have any other pokemon?" Normal wasn't exactly the best against rock, actually it was the opposite, so he hoped that for her sake she did have another pokemon. Jace at this point was completely ignoring Simon as he extended a hand to Anita and introduced himself as he spoke, "Again I'm really sorry about everything, my name is Jace." He waited for the girl to start heading for the pokemon center, contemplating accompanying her if she would accept his company.
