Halloween Town. Wonderland. Both nonsensical places of fantasy where anything is possible. They don't have much in common, other than the fact that nothing really makes sense...and the doors. Each realm has a door to another world that can be traveled at will, a portal used to cross dimensions and transcend time and space. Universes are linked through magic and inexplicable ties as fickle and mercurial as the worlds themselves and the people who live in them.

Between the sands of time something has gone horribly wrong. Universes have become tangled and the portals have inexplicably begun to collapse. In one grand divine malfunction the inhabitants of these distant lands have watched their homelands turned upside down and into total chaos. Yet what seemed like it should have been the end was really only the beginning, these two striking worlds have been launched from the comfort of old normality and purged into something fresher and much stranger…modern day America.

Now, these displaced inhabitants have spent three years living alternative lives, never realizing that anything was wrong. They have each and every one of them been almost completely reborn. They have no memories of their past realities - after the purge they all woke up with "synthetic memories" of the lives that they've been living. From normal aspects of city life like little bars and loud clubs to more sinister things like selling drugs and violent crime, no one has any idea that they used to wander among giant mushrooms and dine in the company of zombies. Sometimes things are familiar, like a name or a face, but the memories are always just out of reach.

Despite the lack of memory, inhabitants of the former realities still tend to gravitate towards one another as if drawn together by an outside force. Some friendships and relationships have stayed the same, while many have changed and blossomed. Naturally, some people simply don't like each other-the Queen of Hearts and Oogie Boogie, for example. Oogie, being a crime lord and drug dealer extraordinaire, wants to be selling drugs and creating chaos, but the Queen wants him out of the picture so that he can execute his own evil plan. The White Queen, on the other hand, just wants all of the drugs and violence out of the town. No one is so much trying to control the town as they are just trying to exist within it on their own terms. Everyone has their own goals and ends to meet, but it seems that there is always someone in the way.

At present, the town is hanging right on the edge of conflict, covered by the shadow of an oncoming war. The Queen of Hearts is the owner of a very classy club, The House of Cards. Or at least, it's classy on the surface: behind the scenes illegal gambling and exotic entertainment come first. While this was profitable, The Queen of Hearts wants to expand his business and move into designer drugs as well. There is one problem, though: Oogie Boogie. Oogie is an agent of chaos, and at the moment has a monopoly on the drug market and his own gang of henchmen to keep competition at bay. The Queen of hearts would prefer things to be run with a great deal more order, and would also prefer to be in charge of it all. He leaves no room for negotiation. Every day brings these two villains closer to confrontation. The White Queen also draws closer to the conflict; it is his goal is to cleanse the city of the illegal gambling and the drugs. With his vigilant gang of supporters they set out to cleanse the town of sin and filth. No one is safe from the destruction they all bring. With time still ticking away, the tension builds-will you be the spark that ignites the fire?

This is a yaoi roleplay and only contains mxm characters. If this bothers you please see your way out immediately. Due to the darker nature of the roleplay we host characters with alternative images. Your high school quarterbacks and favorite heart throb movie stars (most likely) do not live among these pages. We reserve the right to decline any profile for any character that does not fit into our little imaginary world.

This is a literate to lit. break roleplay. Please make all posts a minimum of two paragraphs and roughly 400 words. (But who’s counting, right?) Use your spell check and keep your chatter in the OOC thread. Cursing is allowed. Romance is encouraged. Drama is adored! Posting should be made in size nine to eleven font. Speech should be placed in color. Thoughts should be placed in italics. Please add pictures, glitz, and glam to make your posts pretty!

Please be committed. If you join this roleplay and never post or disappear for longer than a week without advanced written consent your character may be removed or replaced. We want to keep our story alive and well. When you drop off the face of the planet it affects everyone. Thank you for understanding.

With great power comes great responsibility. We have a very low tolerance for god-moding. Every character has strengths and weaknesses. Please know your characters limits. You can’t always come out on top. Everyone loses sometimes. Some characters are naturally inclined to be better fighters and some are not. Do not make us hunt you down. If your character has a certain strange or elevated skill set be prepared to justify why. Mention it in your profile – don’t make it up off of the top of your head because you’re in the middle of a fight and you don’t want to lose. We know who you are and we are watching.
