The chancellor tried to calm down the crowd. "Now, now. Settle down, everyone." she said, but to no avail. She could have figured that this exposure would raise a ruckus. It continued until aomeone else stepped forward.
"Excuse me..." said a quiet voice. The voice was projected by the microphone, filling the corners of the theatre. Everyone became quiet. It was Kisaki Omoi. "I'd like to say that I'm very happy to be back here. I missed this school when I was in the hospital, but I hope I can get back in touch with all of my old friends, and meet new ones, too. I'm sad to say I won't be able to do the same sports as I participated in before, but I'll try to join other clubs. Let me know which ones are the best, okay?" she said with an innocent smile.
Kisaki was the kind of small, cute girl you wanted to be friends with. Like, the one you wanted to protect from the big, bad world and just make sure she's happy. It's no wonder such a fuss was raised when she left the school. "Chancellor Kudageki-sama... I think I'm done. Thank you very much for the chance to re-enter the school and speak with my friends again." she said, stepping from the podium and exiting stage left.
"Oh, thank you Kisaki." Kudageki said, surprised the young girl was able to quell such a crowd. "Well, now would be the time we normally introduce our incoming first-year students, but it appears as though we are running a bit low on time..." she said, a sigh of relief being emitted by the students. The second and third-years didn't care much for the introductions, and the first-years were hesitant of being held on display to the whole school to see. "Well, instead make it a goal to meet at least one first-year student by the end of the day. In our tight-knit school, it won't take very much time at all for the students to all intermingle with eachother." she said, sure of herself. "Well, you are dismissed. Let us pray for a wonderful, eventful, and sage school year." she said, her face suddenly changing as if she had just remembered something. "Oh! And six o'clock in the evening is when dinner is normally served. Since it is nearly that time now, I would ask that all students report to the cafeteria located on the opposite side of the fourth-floor."
The students stood, stretching after the ceremony. Many of them quickyl exited to grab some food. Kyokkou was known for its selection, a buffet always lined with many different kinds of food. The chefs were reknowned in their field, making many wonder why they decided to work in a boarding school kitchen.
It's a rumor that they were sous chefs, got arrested, and their records only allowed them to work in an institution, so they worked at a fancy school. However, only a handfull of people actually believe that.
