DaiKaiju Attack! is an rp for fans of Godzilla, Gomera, Zone Fighter, and so on. This rp focuses on a single city (to start) where DaiKaiju and other such people or mechs of size fight constant battles.

Plot: DaiKaiju Attack takes place in a large city island known as Apex Island. It boasts its own food source, having a farm region and an immense fishing industry. The main city itself is surrounded by a small towns, which when looked upon on a map, seems to encompass the towering sky scrappers like a ring. The main city region holds most businesses and is built over an elaborate underground facility initially charged with advancing the scientific knowledge of Apex Island. When the first DaiKaiju came, later known as Ice Breaker, the city's own advanced military was able to not only fend off the beast, but kill it soon after it tried to escape. However, the destruction this beast caused put a major focus on not only rebuilding, but also increasing their defenses. They would later come to realize that this 50 foot monster, Ice Breaker, was only the first, and smallest, threat they would face. Now the city readies in wait for the next attacks and new monsters. It has been many years since then and the Apex Island Intercept Forces or AIIF have held strong against the tide. Apex stands strong, but for how long?

Characters: These can be Human/DaiKaiju/Mecha/Half-breeds, and anything else you want to do that would fit in with the story and is approved by those who are admining this rp.

Submit profiles to me first, and when they're accepted I'll post them in the profile thread. It's not a rule, but it would be helpful if you put "DaiKaiju Attack!" in the subject. Also, if you have multiple characters to submit, feel free to put as many as will fit in one pm, just let me know what kind they are (ex. Human, DaiKaiju, Mecha, Half-Breed, etc)

Human/Alien Sheet:
Name:
Sex:
Age:
Looks: (picture and/or description)
Looks for Pilot/Brawler uniform: (please identify which, and if Brawler put height here as well)
Occupation: (Mecha Pilot, Mechanic, Military Leader, Government Offical, Kaiju Brawler etc)
Bio: (At least a paragraph please.)
Humans have a lot of complicated jobs, such as being a Mecha Pilot or a Kaiju Brawler. Kaiju Brawlers are humans who through magic/alien technology/their own technology/etc can grow to Kaiju proportions and fight the Monsters on their level.
Owner:

DaiKaiju Sheet:
Name:
Looks: (picture if available, but descriptions are of course accepted.)
Height:
Powers: (general toughness and power come with being 50 ft +, but if they're especially strong, tough, can shoot laser/fire/other projectiles, exceptionally quick, can fly, can tunnel underground and so on. Put that here.)
Stance on Humans: (are they a protector of the people like old Godzilla and Gomera, or do they simply bring destruction like King Ghidorah? Or somewhere in between. If their stance is complicated feel free to describe how it is here, and maybe why it is in the bio)
Back Stroy: (At least a paragraph)
Owner:

Mecha Sheet:
Name:
Height:
Looks:
Pilot/Pilots or Autonomous: (For reasons of speed I would rather any amount of pilots controlling one Mecha be controlled by one person, but I won't make it a rule unless it starts to hold up the rp as a whole. Ex. of Autonomous would be Jet Jaguar.)
Abilities: (What can the mecha do, can it stand up to the toughest brawling kaiju, can it out run the speediest of the monsters, or does it rain fire on its enemies to destroy them. Explain what all it can do here.)
Bio: (how/why it was made. If it has pilots this doesn't have to be a full paragraph, but if it's autonomous then at least a paragraph.)
Owner:

Half-Breed Sheet:
Name: (Humanoid and DaiKaiju names go here)
Height at full grown:
Looks: (before and after)
Powers: (before and after transforming, half-breeds have impressive powers.)
Bio: (At least a paragraph)
Half-Breeds are humans/aliens who through some event have gained the essence of a DaiKaiju. Along with powers while still human sized, they gained the power to transform into a form resembling that of the DaiKaiju they gained power from.
Owner:

Relationships between the different races:
Humans stand at the top of the races. Despite the destruction brought on them they survive and evolve to deal with new threats. This does not, however, stop them from hating. They are scared of DaiKaiju, even those who protect them can be turned on if it looks to them like they're trying to destroy their homes. They're a fickle race who knows little of the other races as a whole. Only the highest levels of the Government and Military even now of half-breeds and only a select few of them know of the existence of aliens. They have great pride in their Mechanical inventions and will often trust a giant Mech until they're shown not to. Likewise, they turn Kaiju-Brawlers into celebrities and sell merchandise of them as they grow in fame.

Mechanical beings have a very varied level of compliance. They could be built completely from human made technology and therefore only listen to designated humans, or they could be autonomous and have a literal mind of their own to think with. They could inherit ulterior motives encoded in them by those with a distaste for humanity, or be possessed by the bones of the dead Kaiju they were built from. Ultimately their level of trust varies, but is very hard to change short of actually rewriting their coding.

Half-Breeds have to hide their abilities constantly. Once they're known by the government they're given two choices, either "willingly" enlist and fight for the good of mankind while being held prisoner at one of their military bases. The other choice is to run, hide and hope the government loses interest in them. If they're caught after turning down the government's offer of enlistment they are held in cells to be researched and experimented on. Some may feel more connected to the DaiKaiju than other humans. Suspicious to a level that may borderline paranoia, half-breeds must be strong of mind as well as body to survive.

Aliens take two distinct sides on their stance for humans. They either blend in with them, helping them advance in technology, or prepare for unforeseen events such as the first DaiKaiju attack. The other side would be hate humans, to try and wrestle the planet out of their control either through full on military engagement or through subtle influencing that would leave them defenseless for when they get attacked next; usually intermixing the two which makes them a very real threat despite the fact that they're still considered rumors at large. Their connection to the DaiKaiju and Half-Breeds is that they either created them, tried to control them, or try to destroy them. All three have mixed reasons on both sides of their stance on humans, but all are set up help their end goal.

Multiple Characters are encouraged! DaiKaijus will not always be around stomping on things, and making trouble. They need time to sleep, and rest after fights. Government officials will not always be relevant to the rp leaving you bored and using space without furthering the rp. Certain character types (autonomous robots who can blend in with humans, Kaiju Brawlers, Half-Breeds) can overcome this by being both DaiKaiju and human sized, so don't think that you have to pick multiple characters, but it couldn't hurt as long as you feel comfortable controlling them all.

Rules:
-Follow all of Gaia's rules of course.
-Swearing is allowed, but not excessive and no racism of any sort UNLESS STRICTLY IC RELATED! (it can be relevant, but don't just make a human racist against different colored humans, against Half-Breed and DaiKaiju kind of racism. Not real, and if asked you will tone it down/edit your post)
-No auto hitting/god modding
-put ooc in some kind of brackets like () or []
-At least a paragraph each post, please. Semi-lit at minimum.
-Post at least a couple times a week, if you won't be able to let us know ahead of time.
-Now for a probably disliked rule, please do not use the big DaiKaijus like Godzilla or Gomera. Creativity will keep this rp going, and the big name ones will feel impossible to beat (since they're so awesome of course).

Neccrulture began to swim to his next feeding spot. A city that stood in seeming defiance of his hunger. The smell of crops, of life growing, filled him with disgust, but he could smell, or maybe sense, the smog that was trapped inside the bigger buildings. The pollution that came with any big city. It called to him like a primal urge. To feed on that which was decaying. He made land fall within minutes, taking his first great step onto land he let out a roar of hunger and malice.

"SSSKKKRRAAAWWWWWLLLLLLL!!!"

It echoed out over the land, and beneath the bird like squawk lied and eerie sound of the dead. A ghoulish groan which seemed to happen simultaneously with his voice. He skipped over the smaller buildings in the way, only destroying the few he had to in order to get through. Only a few steps away he heard sirens ring out over the island.

Rand was antsy all day. Fidgety, when he was so used to sitting still. He used to be told by people that he was psychic, and whenever he couldn't sit still they knew something was going to happen. People have since stopped saying that, but it didn't mean they were wrong. To him it was like anther sense, something in his head telling him to get ready. Ready for what though, he could never figure out. Was there a city wide threat, or would he just get anther call from his mother in law complaining about how he never spends time with them. Personally, he'd prefer the Kaiju, as it meant he could legally kill what was bothering him. As if his prayers had been answered by some great deity, the Kaiju alert system went off moments later.
"On screen!" He barked, his voice raspy and deep, at the privet at the control station. "Let's see who we're dealing with."

The screen flickered to life and displayed camera fed video of an undead Kaiju already tearing up the city. It used its beak and tail as battering rams and jack hammers to destroy builds.

"It's eating the rubble..."He mused to himself, "Alright, threat level orange. He's fast to have gotten to the city before the alarms, and he eats what he destroys. I want Seismosaur up and running ten minutes ago."

"Sir," a lieutenant spoke up, "can Seismosaur handle this on his own? He was built as support."

"Which is why we're also prepping agent Ice Breaker, but only as back up. I don't want to use him if we don't have to."

With his last command everyon went to working, calling up search and rescue forces to stand by and informing Seismosaur's pilot, Cyrus West, that he was heading into action, giving him intel on what they knew of the Kaiju as he prepaired.

"Word just came down, sir." a privet called, "Kaiju's code name is Neccrulture!"

"Great, tell them to name the ruble something too, in the mean time focus on killing the damn thing!"

Tyler heard the commotion and started suiting up. His suiting up consisted of enough clothes to hide his modesty as it would all be torn to shreds should the general decide to use him, which wasn't very often. All these years he had been denied the revenge he had been promised. The general was too worried about sending him out, thinking the public might go crazy if they found out there was a live Kaiju hiding under their streets. He couldn't blame them, but he had been waiting for years.

"A little longer," he told himself, "just a little longer and I'll get to go."

He sat in his room and waiting for the order he had been waiting for for years now.
As the Kaiju alarm sounded Cyrus as did many of the other staff and crew took off at a run to their respective positions. He was riding the lift to reach Seismosaur's command pit when word came in that he was being sent in alone. A smile crossed his face as the thought of not having to watch his aim in fear of friendly fire. He took out his tactical pad to read over the information being sent to him as the lift finished its ascent.

Cyrus hopped inside as the lift descended and hooked himself up in his chair. He slid the Tac pad into a slot and computer screens began to activate around him. "Target eats rubble but the target isn't focused on destroying everything." As his systems began to come online Cyrus tried his best to understand what drew the creature. He pulled up a map and began to try and find a connection. "It looks to be heading for the refineries. Maybe the smog or energy caught its attention. It looks dead so maybe pollution."

As his systems came to full power a large portion of the hanger began to raise as it lifted the Seismosaur to the surface. It took moments for the large mecha to fully reach the surface. It swung its head side to side releasing a loud mechanical bellow. Cyrus began to alter different settings in the programming. "Lets see if I can vent the energy from the nucular reactor that should be enough pollution or energy to get its attention away from the civilians."

Seismosaur began a slow trek side stepping away from the city keeping an eye on the Kaiju all the while the cooling vents released nuclear emissions into air. Cyrus knew it was dangerous and had consequences but so did firing into the people they were supposed to protect.

As sirens blared across the island, a cold fog rolled in from the northern shore. Amidst the fog, riding upon an iceberg in the uncanny shape of a long-ship, rode a massive blue skinned man, a hundred and ten feet tall. He wore a goggled Norse helm and rough cloth over chain-mail and on his shoulder he bore an axe as massive as he. He was Aringr, last of the hrímþursar, the Jotunn Frost Giants of Norse legend from which the world itself owes its creation. And he was here because he wanted the head of Neccrulture. The beast was a mindless thing of destruction, and it needed to be put down. And to take it himself would make for a great addition to the saga of his exploits.

The Iceberg ship beached upon the shore and Aringr stepped off it with a grin. He heard the baleful squawking of the bird, and it fazed him not, for he ripped his boat in half with his mighty strength and hurled first one massive chunk and then the other, throwing massive glacial chunks with the accuracy of an artillery bombardment upon the bird.

"Wretched beast!" Aringr bellowed, his godlike voice rolling across the island as he took up his axe. "I have come for your hide!"

Neccrultrue was happily eating the rubble he made as he moved forward. This close to the pollution causing refineries, he could already taste its delicious meal. Something new, however, caught his attention when a giant metal creation of man bellowed and released nuclear radiation. Death spewed from the being and Neccrultrue couldn't resist a meal such as this. He was about to dash to his new target when half of a large wooden boat struck the side of his head. He was staggered for a moment, but managed to catch the second piece right before it hit him too.

"KKKAAARRRRWWWWUUHHHHH!"

A cry of anger roared out of Neccrultrue as his meal has been interrupted. His stomach began to compress and churn. Neccrultrue spat up a ball of black liquid that he shot back the way the ship pieces had come. If it would hit its target it wouldn't really hurt, but he would be stuck to the ground until he wrestled free form the goo.

"UUUUUUHHHHHHHH!"

Another ghoulish cry rang out from Neccrultrue and it seemed to be coming from the whole city. A purple miasma seeped from every opening of Neccrultrue. He turned back to his new feast, and with impressive speed for something his size, he closed the distance on the two in a matter of moments. He hurled the ship piece as he ran at Seismosaur, and it would connect just before he got there. Neccrulture opened with a flurry of beak and tail stabs. The radiation called to him directly, and the body of Seismosaur was in the way.

The General watched as the creature made its way towards their refineries as Seismosaur rose to the surface. Upon finally getting there it bellowed at the Kaiju.

"Sir, Seismosaur is leaking radiation! He opened the cooling vents on his own!

A smile crept its way across the general's face. These pilots were always so crafty nowadays.

"He's drawing the beast out of the city. He's got some heavy ordinance to fire at the thing. Most civilians are ground level or lower, inside the bunkers. Radiation sickness will be kept to a minimum. Have the containment teams get ready for a city wide scrubbing!"

As the rest punched things into their computers, the General watched the live feed of Neccrulture. Out of nowhere, nowhere he could see form, Half of a flying ship struck the creature. It caught the second piece at the last moment.

"Sir! Land fall of anther Kaiju! Realativly small, but it seems to be... Sir, reports are coming in that it wants kill Neccrulture!"

"Well, tell him to get in line. Alright, two new Kaiju have breached our shores gentleman! Inform Seismosaur of the new one, and tell him to fire if necessary! We have backup waiting eagerly in the wings."

The general was now planning ahead. Two Kaiju at once, something that rarely happened, and was never good. God willing this wouldn't lead to anything more, but Rand knew he was the most restless he'd ever been.
Cyrus watched as the Kaiju turned towards the Seismosaur before a large mass of wood impacted on the beast. The large Mecah turned his head to see a second Kaiju arriving. Cyrus began to worry. The Kaiju already showed they were hostile to each other but if he got caught between them it wouldn't end good. With the first firing a goop back to the second he readied as it charged him.

Seismosaur's vents closed stopping the flow of radiation. "Lets see how mad I can make this thing." He waited for the Kaiju to get close before lifting the neck over the beast. He twisted the body to get the neck over and to the opposite of the Kaiju. Quickly lowering his neck he released the torque twisting the body putting full force into slamming the neck into the monster now putting Seismosaur between it and the city.

Twenty six of its cannons came alive and rotated to fire a broadside barrage. Cyrus pushed the energy capacitors to their limit almost overcharging the cannons before twenty six high impact beams released toward the Kaiju Neccrultue. "Command! I need information on the new Kaiju fast."

Aringr watched the ball of sludge come his way, sucked in a breath, and then blew freezing cold at the projectile, which solidified it. Now that it was hardened, Aringr had no trouble catching it and with a grunt he put his race's rock throwing abilities to use and heaved the frozen ball right back at the enemy Kaiju, laughing mockingly at the bird as he did so.

Then the humans' ungainly machine beast began to directly engage Neccrulture, firing its weapons at it. Arching a brow and stroking his beard, Aringr decided to watch Neccrulture and Seismosaur go at each other, letting the two beat each other to a pulp. That way he could battle the winner, who would be tired after the exchange of blows and it would fall much quicker to his axe. Then this island would be his. It was a sound plan, and the giant leaned upon his axe to watch the fight unravel.

Neccrulture's pecks, which could break a building to pieces, seemed to do little to Seismosaur. As Neccrulture tried to ready a more penetrating tail stab, the neck of Seismosaur slammed into his side. His body, being light for a Kaiju his size, was tossed into the air for a moment, before hitting the ground and skidding to a stop outside of the city. A frozen ball of his goo was hurled back at where Neccrulture was before the hit, and it crashed into where he was standing moments ago. He was dazed from such a hard hit, and barely had time to start righting himself before a barrage of energy cannons fired his way. Most missed Neccrulture, but two connected with his fallen body, making him skid backwards and let out a cry of pain as he did so. His rights shoulder and hip were blackened with char from being hit. To top it off he could no longer feel the radiation leaking from the machine. He roared, a guttural anger filled roar, as he stood again.

"KRAAAAAWLLLL!"

His stomach churned and tightened again as he spat small sludge balls at the neck of Seismosaurs, hoping to stop or slow its powerful neck. After three balls left his mouth he turned his head as his blackened stomach began to glow a sickly purple. A small, focused beam shot form his mouth, aiming at the cylinders that had just shot at him.

Rand watched as Seismosaur played the Kaiju like a pro. Waiting for it to get close, utilizing the Kaiju's own speed against it, and smashing it outside of the city. Rand was informed that Cyrus had closed Seismosaur's vents too. Unleashing a barrage of his cannons he watched as Neccrulture was pushed back more.

"Sir, the other one seems to be waiting."

"Waiting, huh? If he's after Neccrulture a hunter wouldn't let his prey get beaten by something else. I don't like this. Muffler!" He barked to one of the soldiers.

The mufflers were genius little inventions Rand thought. They looked like black surgeon's masks. When held up to the mouth they would seal to the person's face, only letting air in and out through a sound filtered hole in the front. You could be three inches from a megaphone, but if it had one of these over them you wouldn't hear a squeak.

"Bring up the Half-breed, tell him to engage the other Kaiju."

He took off his mask and looked around his control center.

"Alright! Level 3 clearance and up personal only, the rest of you report to your secondary stations!"

Without question most of the crew left the room; leaving only a skeleton crew. One man does the job of two, including the General who now took over the communication center and heard Cyrus's request for information.

"We only know what we've seen," Rand spoke into the radio, "Eyes on the ground say he emits cold, and can rip a boat in half, and carries an axe. We're sending reinforcements. You were briefed on Half-Breeds once you became a pilot. What you didn't know was that we have one, and he's coming up. His appearance may alarm you, but he is on your side. We're sending up Ice Breaker."

Tyler heard the alert sound he'd waited so long to hear. He stood up and walked on the gigantic raising platform, much like what Seismosaur had ridden up, but closer to the new Kaiju. He was briefed quickly on the second. Emitted cold and was strong, but was rather short, almost half of his transformed height, and wielded a rather large axe.

"Well I'll have to watch out for that axe then... I hate this next part"

Tyler began to grow, immensely and quickly. Images of Ice Breakers life flashed through his mind as he assimilated its memories with his own. White fur grew from his body as quickly as he was growing. His fingernails turned to blue crystals and his hands and fingers became paws. His feet went through a similar process. By the time he was Above ground he was to his full 200 foot tall polar bear form. He let out a deafening roar has he looked around for his target.

"RRRRRAAAAAAWWWWWWWRRRRRRR!"

He found his way to where the second Kaiju was, looking down on him from over a smaller building near by. 'Found you!' he thought to himself. Ice Breaker sidestepped the building to let his full size sink into his opponent before taking a swipe at him from as long a distance as he could. Only his crystal claws would make contact from such a distance, but they were enough for Tyler.

The monster's size did little to aid it in its attempt to sneak up on Aringr, and the Jotunn turned his head to glare dismissively at the giant ice bear as it roared into existence. The creature first tried to intimidate him with its size, but it failed utterly. Aringr had seen the World Serpent. This bear was a mere cub by comparison. When intimidation did not work, it tried to swipe its claws at him but Aringr smashed the strike aside with a swift swipe of his Axe.

"You are not the first bear, I've fought, beast, but you are the slowest and fattest by far!" The Jotunn crowed as he spun his axe into a two fisted grip, daring the bear to press its attack. "Come at me if you think you're hard enough! I will show you how wrong you are!"
The Seismosaur not being built for speed found the gears at its neck beginning to gunk up as the goo made contact. He wasn't at a standstill and could still lift the neck to safety but wouldn't be able to pull another stuck like he did. Seeing that some of his cannons were beginning to get jammed he tried his best to rotate the barrels and avoid such sludge.

When news of the half breed being sent in Cyrus was surprised at first but seeing that he was outnumbered he wasn't going to complain. With the very little information of the second Kaiju Cyrus was glad he could focus on the bird thing. His screens showed the new combatant's arrival and had to admit the bear was intimidating. Course he was biased on liking animal design if not just from liking bears.

Focusing back unto the Neccrulture he began to have his remaining cannons focus fire on and around the Kaiju to keep it from escaping. He lowered the charge capacity reducing the damage but it allowed him a machine gun like barrage on the beast. He hailed the command center with a small complaint. "Boss I have a request here. If the Seismosaur is going to be sent in first more often it needs more firepower. One of the mechanics mentioned a big gun in the neck that fires from the mouth as an idea. Right now I would have really liked to have that."

Ice Breaker had his hand slapped aside. 'Looks like they were right about his strength' he thought to himself. The blue giant then taunted him, and readied his axe with both hands. Ice Breaker gathered a bit of spit into his mouth. He shot it at Aringr, and as soon as it left his lips he froze it with an icy ray, which was also directed at Aringr. He believed the blue man to be at least resistant to as he himself was, so the icy ray wasn't meant to do much. The large ice spike it created, however, would hurt resistant to cold or not. After freezing the spit, He swung his arm again, but took a step in this time. His paw would connect with Aringr, Ice breaker was aiming to catch his arms either after he swatted the spike aside, or before he finished his swing at him. After swinging his right arm, he would stab at Aringr with his left, hoping to skewer, or maim the giant if it tried to move away from the stab.

Neccrulture was being pinned down by the barrage of lasers being fired at him. His hunger grew and in turn his anger grew. The bite of the cannons wasn't as strong as they were before and he wasn't being pushed back like before, even though he took more hits. His stomach was beginning to feel empty as he never finished his earlier meal. Neccrulture couldn't stand up, but thanks to his tail he found a way to move. He'd stab the tip of his tail into the ground, and drag himself closer. He rolled sided to side to try and avoid any direct hits as he did. He got close to Seismosaur's front leg that was close to him, and swung his tail as hard as he could from the ground at the inside of the leg, trying to off balance the metal behemoth. as he did he shot another beam of necro-energy at the head of the Seismosaur.

The General was watching both battles now, having split the screen to display both. Seismosaur seemed to so far be handling things pretty well, but the less combat experienced Ice Breaker gave up his best chance for a rushing attack. He heard Cyrus's voice over the comm channel asking about a mouth cannon or something like that.

"Tell you what, bring me Neccrulture's head we'll see about a party favor." The general rubbed his beard stubs while thinking, "That little blue b*****d is stronger than he looks." The general mused to himself.

He watched as Ice Breaker tried to use cunning to overcome his lack of experience, but the blue giant didn't even flinch when he saw the bear, instead he seemed to be taunting him. He was confident, but the fight just started, and Rand had put great time into turning both into capable defenders of this fine island, for now he had to trust them.
