Hello, and welcome to my art request thread! I've been on Gaia for a little over a year now, and have only recently begun collecting art of my favorite avatars. I have a very hard time, however, finding threads that are open or artists I can afford, so I decided to open my very own art request thread hoping for better success.

Please see the following posts for more information about what I am looking for. I reserve the right to decline any offer; if I don't like the style of the art or you are too expensive for me I will decline. Please see this journal post for previous art I have paid for in order to see what styles I like. If you would like to draw or pixel for me, please fill out this form and post it in the thread:

I do not appreciate artists who take a commission from me and then disappear for six months. While I understand that real life takes precedence, if you know you have school starting, or are going to be busy with work, please do not offer to take a commission from me. If something happens that makes you unable to complete my art, please let me know as soon as possible so that I can either cancel the trade or make other arrangements with you. I am willing to wait for quality art as long as I know it's coming, but I'm not going to wait six months for art without an update anymore.

So what exactly am I looking for in paid commissioned art? I will accept offers for any of the following:

User Image

Pixel Art (animated or not)
User Image

Chibi Art (preferably full-color, full-body)
User Image

Full-Body "Traditional" Art (CG, hand-drawn, etc.; preferably full-color)
User Image

Head-Shots (I prefer full-bodies, but I will take head-shots)

For paid commissions, I would like to keep the price at 25-30K or lower for art, and 10k or lower for pixel dolls/art, as I am questing and want to conserve gold, but I do want pretty things. I will pay more, depending on the quality of the art. In your form, let me know your best price and I'll consider based on your samples smile Please do not draw my avatars unless we've discussed prices, because if I don't like your style or think you are too expensive, I don't want you wasting your time on something that I would be unable to pay you for wink

Update 2/26/2009 - I would REALLY like some good pixel art. Will accept commissions for regular art as well but I am really looking for some really great dolls/pixel art.

Freebies are also always welcome, and I will gladly accept any form of freebie art smile

I have two "sets" of avatars that I would like art for. I am willing to pay more for art of the first set. I would rather have art for them than the second set. Before drawing an avatar for me, please discuss with me which one you are interested in and we'll decide from there smile

The avatars I would pay the most for art of are:

Green Eyes (I know the second two don't have green eyes - I prefer the green eyes to the blues)

Things that don't have to be on them (if included in the sample) but that I would like you to include if you can:

Also, a few final things to consider when drawing or pixeling for me:

My avatar does not generally have a huge smile, or even a smile at all. She's not angry or sad or anything so severe, she's just a little blank and hard to read wink I prefer pixels without a mouth, and art that either has no mouth or a very small smile.

She is also not very active - I would prefer art that does not have her jumping around, swinging a sword, or chasing after something. If you would like to pose her, for example, giving a peace sign, or with one leg "popped" behind her, that's cool.
