Haaaaaay. I'm Car and I am complete ticket fever trash. My first foray into project tickets was in July 2015, but I only really got into pursuing them in March 2016. I don't do much else on Gaia aside from tickets and dressing up, which should explain why I'm deep into many solo and collaboration projects. I couldn't have gotten this far without my fellow friends and collaborators though (*゚ー゚)ゞ ♡
I use tickets mainly for myself, but I've also helped friends make their ticket dreams a reality, though collabs or as solo projects I pick up.
Looking for my recent ticket updates? Check my most recent bump posts for major updates. Want to collaborate? Read my collab post below for details. Need info on recolour permissions or planning behind my custom items? I have a thread with information here.
Thanks for visiting and for your support!
P.S. Here is an accurate description of me, Drake-style.

I debuted this scheme in my first rainbow parcel. When seabreeze was first debuted in April M, I paired the colour with amaranth items, and I liked how they looked together. I used strawberry blonde hair in my parcel to have more hairs in that colour, and I thought it worked alright with this scheme, but this is optional. I also prefer keeping any amaranth-to-seabreeze gradients to a minimum. I like to recolour mostly mori/floral items in softbreeze, but I'm picky with item choice, so I haven't pushed the scheme very far.
2017-04-26: Gaia artists are beautiful souls. Not officially tagged softbreeze, but who cares :^ )
2017-05-19: Yay more!
SQUllDS is the creator of this scheme. It's basically a spin-off of cutie pie, and is more of a gradient-heavy scheme (butter-to-pink/orange). Hair is to be recoloured in a butter-to-pink gradient. I helped push more items in the scheme in my third rainbow parcel and through a few recolour tickets.
Cottonfrost Colours: cottoncandy blue, ivory, hints of offblack
My primary draw to the candygloss scheme was because of cottoncandy blue. I took that colour and paired it with just ivory in some recolour mocks, and from there my fourth bundle was born. The use of just blue and white gives an item a crisp, clean look, and the addition of a little offblack helps the colour pop out more.
2017-04-16: Gaia artist-senpais noticed me and made their own recolour in this scheme emotion_kirakira
2017-05-21: We got another item!... but it looks like Gaia's going with black instead of offblack~
2017-10-20: Late update but Gaia has added cottonfrost to the Tie-Dye rotation for Winter, and is officially using offblack instead of black for the scheme! CRIES
Sorbet Colours: sorbet, dark sorbet, ivory
I was hesitant to add this, because I didn't submit any items in the scheme before it was adopted lolol. I didn't even come up with the name??? Sorbet was developed while I was experimenting with hair mocks in a public discord server - I pulled the warm subset of sherbert colours and came up with an interesting gradient, which was improved upon and debuted by the Gaia Art team as an official scheme! + q + The adoption honestly took me by surprise - I didn't know they were going to pick up my smol, underdeveloped (at the time) idea haha, before I even considered submitting tickets for it. It's nice to see it get generally positive reception so far!
Want to recolour an item in these schemes? You do not need my permission to do so. Recolouring is free-for-all, so you are free to use the schemes however you want. However, I would appreciate a heads up that a recolour in one of these schemes is in the pipeline, for my own excitement reasons * u *

I'm just gonna write whatever I feel like explaining about recolours (to my knowledge).
Work in progress, will probably never finish lol .
2017-07-19: Welp most of this stuff may not be very useful anymore, because the rules on colour blocking have been relaxed a little lol But it's okay I'll leave it here anyway... it might inspire some other forms of creative colour-blocking.
Recolour Mocking F.A.Q.
How do you rip poses from the avatar base to make recolour mocks from?
Everyone does it a bit differently, but I equip paw fur, eyes, and clothing to remove the human base, eyes, and underwear. I don't know how to remove eyebrows (is it even possible?), so I repixel those lolol. You can also do the opposite (equip human skin/eyes/clothing) to isolate paw poses.
Sometimes you can also turn the avatar around to remove the eyebrows, since they don't show up turned around. This only works if the pose doesn't change when you turn the avatar around. I tend to do this when I am ripping background poses.
How do I recolour an item accurately to the colour scheme or colour source?
I use the gradient mapping function in Photoshop. I make a palette out of the colour reference (either a photo or avatar), then set up gradient map bars for the colours I want.
There's a different way to do it in SAI, but it involves more steps (and pain)...
If I change one colour to another, do all the poses have to be changed to that colour too?
I'm surprisingly finding that a LOT of users think you have to change all of one colour to another colour, and keep that change consistent in all poses - this is not true. Colour blocking rules apply per individual pose. For example, I can recolour an offwhite segment to offblack in Pose 1, and offwhite to amaranth in Pose 2. You can also choose not to follow a specific colour scheme for your recolour, and pick a different scheme for each pose. Here's an example of a recoloured item that includes more than 1 colour scheme.
Note: I will not be elaborating on how exactly to perform specific steps or use Photoshop to mock, because it takes time to go through the steps in depth, and frankly I am not motivated enough to teach. If you need small clarifications, I may be able to help.
Using Gradients to your Advantage to Maximize Colour Blocks (Rainbow Ticket)
RT rules suck, especially for one-colour poses (looking at you, 90% of recent male pants and shoes). Gradients may "cheapen" the look of your recolour if the colour blocks suck too much, and leaving the pose all one solid colour could end up the same way as well. Unfortunately if the pose is all one-colour, there's not much you can do beyond that, except get a DRT to separate them.
Poses with 2+ colour blocks could be taken advantage of via strategic application of gradients - here are examples of colour blocking tricks you can consider next time you're thinking about colour placements.
to : I want to first make clear that I did not mock this particular recolour. It is, however, a good example of splitting colour blocks via gradients. The bears in my recolour are different colours on each side, because of a cleverly-placed gradient of seabreeze-to-brown from left-to-right, with the gradient boundary at the space between the bears. You may be warned that the gradient boundary may have to be made more apparent (i.e. either the seabreeze or brown would spill over to the other bear a little bit), but I find the result varies depending on how the assigned artist decides to proceed.
Other similar examples:
to : Again I didn't make the mocks for these. Note the separated colour block on the Chemise from offwhite to offwhite/seabreeze gradient. to : On the striped legs, I separated the heart and the shoes with a gold-to-offblack gradient cleverly placed between the two. to : On both tops, the zipper mouths were separated from the face and collar via a super tight seabreeze-to-gold gradient. This is an example of an "artist-dependent" result; I was told the gradient boundary could appear more prominent than how I mocked it (to be super tight), but Gaia was able to mimic it anyway.
Recolouring Items in Schemes with 3+ Colours using a Rainbow Ticket
By 3+ colours, I am not including black/white and offchrome - I'm referring to colour schemes that typically include 3 or more colours in a gradient (e.g. fallen wish, vivid stagony, twilight). You cannot include more than 2 colours in a gradient with a RT, but you're not completely out of luck if you can't find/afford a DRT or one of the couture dye tickets. These are things I consider when I choose the RT route for multi-gradient schemes:
1) Are there enough colour blocks? The more the better; it means you can add more colours to a pose. Don't forget about the use of gradients to maximize colour placements, if at all possible.
2) Do my chosen colour placements work well within the item as a set, as well as outside of it? I stress on having item poses to be usable outside of the set itself.
3) Will I regret not upgrading to a DRT or couture ticket later down the line? I'm less likely to apply a RT on an item I really like and would use often.
Below are examples of items in traditionally multi-gradient schemes, recoloured with a RT.
