Yep, I was the same way when I first started out. 'Didn't know what did-what, so I experimented and was forced to take the time to read the guides here in the PD and the GG&R. (Gaia Guides and Resources). And this was way before this VISUAL by lil_neko and Kayley's v2 guide came out, so learning was hard. sweatdrop (Especially how to code, so that's why I made the rainbow-choo-choo train method to help some people, the origin of my method comes from looking at CSS Diction, a guide made by Yoco Divon that helped me the most before this one turned up.)

It gets easier over time though, with more practice and patience.
Memory is a definite key in the process, but once you get the hang of it it's all set in place. 3nodding
Just focus on one portion at a time. It may take weeks or days at first, but it turns up into a few hours eventually, which isn't so bad. User Image
|| I see. Thanks for the increase in confidence! :3 Now I just need to spend more time on reading. ||

You can't change the color of the text-decoration underline, but what you can do is set a border of some sort on hover to be a different color instead. Here's a code for example-

/*Regular link color*/
a{color:#fff;}
/*Regular link on hover with "different colored underline", which is actually a border*/
a:hover{color:#fff;border-bottom:2px solid red;}
Hope that clears things up. User Image

Edit- @sweetkylie_x: You don't suck at it, it's a skill that takes effort, and that's more effort than I've ever put in. I did forget to mention that it's been a year since I've begun to code too. sweatdrop I'm no smart learner though, I just pick up whatever interests me, and coding's been a major one. (As graphics is not, somewhat ironically.)

Love the coding, don't have good graphics programs.
EDIT: Been coding for 3 months now, it's my love.

Good graphic programs don't have to be costly. There are free ones out there, like Paint.NET (a huge one-up of Microsoft Paint that is decent, similar controls like Ctrl+A for selecting everything), GIMP (a free program that is probably closest to Photoshop), and then there's GIMPshop, which is basically GIMP remade to almost look like Photoshop; if you're ever planning to get Photoshop in the future. 3nodding

And coding is a great love to me too. heart
I've heard bad things about Paint.NET, already tried GIMP (hated it), and GIMPshop sounds cool.

What's so bad about Paint.NET? User Image
Idk, I just heard it sucked. User Image

Personally, it doesn't if you want to do just the basics, and almost none of the brushy stuff. 3nodding Though Photoshop is a best bet if you want to be professional in your work, though I'd never use it (freeware/opensource > shareware/pay ones in my case, slight belief in freedom everywhere when it comes to things.)
