lol it's actually.... not as exciting or intense as it sounds. the only heart-pumping moment was when i saw a hobo at the back sleeping and i was scared of waking him up by climbing the escape....

I don't think your proportions are bad, other than the arm being kind of small and the hand definitely being small. I think it's mostly just your angles and perspectives that take away from your bodies.

if you just work on using the perspectives to your advantages, you could totally up the quality of you art. And it wont take any style changes. :U

• Specifics : Sometime I can get slightly odd angles right for full-body poses, and sometimes I really, really can't. Anatomy and perspective combined are too much for my tiny human brain. This image -- think young Lex Luthor (early Smallville) and a slightly low-angle view. (I marked in pinkish-red whereabouts I vaguely was trying to make the horizon line from the viewer's perspective.) The guy is supposed to be kind of uncomfortable and hunched forward, but instead he looks like a hunchback -- and I'm pretty sure his legs and torso and basically everything are wrong. I'm fine with the angle of his head -- it's everything else that I want to match up. (Basically, if there is a way to match things to the head and not the head to everything else, that'd be awesome.) I apologize in advance for my incompetence.

and oh yes, flipping the canvas helps a lot, but it's a lot more effective when you've got a foundation down. I can see you focused on the details a little too quickly (I do that sometimes too lol because I love drawing expressions and faces right away haha) but body language is just as important as facial expressions.

I also wanted to mention that most guys in general just have their legs apart, especially if nervous bc they have more reason to be manly if that makes sense at all, and I would imagine lex luthor would too, given that he's such a badass lmao XD You can pick on these kind of things more if you stalk observe everyday people. The other thing was the neck should be longer, which is visually shown in the redline. But you've got the position of the arms and elbows smack down, in relation to the torso! I also really like the angle of the head; great perspective sense. *A* I'd love to see the work again once you've finished it~

Oh My Gosh, Thank You So Much!!! heart

I realise now that I didn't put in the pose reference, which I took from here [Link]. However, my character has her foot dangling and she's got hers flat on the ground so I didn't even think about how it should have been different because of that. Also, I don't smoke, lol. So that moving the cig away from her head wasn't something that I would have thought to do.

From the time that I posted that and now, I've changed the position of the helmet because I just couldn't get it to work (I couldn't even find a proper reference). Is there a chance that I can ask for a red line again, a month or two from now, when I'm back in Japan (Came home to Canada for Anime North and other family things :3) ?

This really, really has helped me out, you've got no idea. I've been working on this off and on now for at least a year and I don't have anyone else to ask about it. So, really, thank you.

Edit: ... Another realisation. I have no way of saving the red line until I get back to Japan, either. sweatdrop

Another Edit: She's a small framed girl, with small boobs, wearing a thick leather riding jacket. I wasn't sure how much was going to be showing. Or how the jacket would fall over them (Again, not really finding the references I need T-T) - I just guessed that with the thickness of the jacket that they would just be hidden under it. On her right side, do you have the jacket coming over her leg or just curving around the breast and off to the side? She also has terrible, terrible posture and slouches more than the average person would. With the tilt that the head is doing, does that mean I'll have to completely redo her face?

I'm sorry for all the questions ._. I just don't have anyone else to ask.
