I check back every little while and it blows my mind how much the inflation is. I remember when zodiac was 100K now it is a multiple million dollar item!?

I've been a member here since '07, and I know a lot of Gaians have been here since before even that. I also know many loyal Gaians who've left the site or are considering leaving the site, and slowly, I'm becoming one of them. There are people on my friend's list who used to check in regularly who haven't been on in months. I remember back when this was a fun place to browse and kill time, but now I mostly check in for a few minutes before I remember that there's nothing to do for free. This is no longer a fun place to hang out on my free time. I have many fond memories of Gaia. It's where I've made my best friends, and spent hours upon hours in ZOMG and playing silly games. Now there's hardly anything for me to do unless I want to spend real money on fake things. There used to be a time when I didn't mind tossing five or ten dollars Gaia's way if it helped contribute to the site. It felt like a small sacrifice to donate money to something I love and get a nice item in return. Now, if I don't continue tossing money Gaia's way, I'm a second class citizen. What kind of message are you trying to send, Gaia? I have seven loyal years under my belt, and I can't even get simple items, much less my wishlist items without spending insane amounts of real cash. I'm a full time college student with a part-time job, as are many other Gaians. We don't have the money to keep up with the growing demands of the marketplace. I only stay now out of sheer sentimental attachment, but as my friends leave, I see fewer and fewer reasons to stay.

I understand that Gaia is a company, and companies need to make money. I was perfectly content spending money here back when things were more reasonable. I'm not mad that Gaia's trying to make money, but everyone looking in the marketplace can see the repercussions of what I can only describe as Gaia's mounting greed. There was a line, Gaia, and you crossed it a long time ago and then kept going. If I leave, I might just be one member, but I am one in a landslide of loyal Gaians you're chasing off the site.
