I'll sign. Plot updates always give me the warm fuzzies. I'd miss em too much if they didn't update again crying

*sign.

We need a plot update... even if santa cow killed himself by throwing himself into a volcano.

I've very nice when plot updates are a part of an event.

What do you mean "scale back on plot"? There hasn't been a real update since Halloween! New plot mangas make me feel warm and fuzzy inside... I sign.
I'll definitely sign.
Ian needs to return!
User Image oh!!! I'm totally signing!!!

I was so disappointed over Christmas and New Years that there was not more manga plot development. I was waiting and waiting... but nothing happened. *pouts* Manga was how I've kept up with what goes on around Gaia... It's awesome and fun & looks good too! & I like events to have meaning. 3nodding With the plot that is. Orphans were fun... but they seemed kinda... tossed in? I dunno. I like the manga much better than the vampire movies. *sheepish* I couldn't even figure out that was Moira, until the manga filled it in...
Sign for awesome plots and events.

It's never quite that we're too stupid rofl

Plot updates entail a lot more than most users seem to think. It takes a tremendous amount of resources to make a manga update, and in order to do it we have to pull artists off of the Battle team.

Next, we usually have to tie that to some kind of gameplay. Sometimes we don't have the developer time for it, sometimes there isn't an idea that fits the story we want to do exactly. The Valentine's Day event was a small event, but we'd been trying to do fewer "click-and-wait" events that didn't include any kind of strategic gameplay, humor, or other fun elements. It's a harsh set of restrictions to work with.

So it's not as simple as you guys, Gaia users who may have significantly more free time than we do and use this site for fun (rather than as a job), writing a storyline update.

I've assisted with putting out a multipage manga and I know full-well how much effort it takes. Please don't assume that ALL of us are ignorant of the amount of effort that goes into creating these things.

I understand that the battle system is an important project that the site team as a whole feels is worth the extra attention and resources. However, I remain amazed that the site team as a whole also feels that the manga updates and events aren't important enough to keep up with while developing the battle system.

Yes, it is a job. And no offense to any one person in particular, but it seems to me that the job is being done half-assed at best. You need to talk to your user-base and do research before tackling such a big project, especially if you suspect it'll suck up a ton of time and resources to accomplish. In the retail world where I work, the equals getting fired and ultimate death of the company.

I believe that Gaia as a whole may need to step back and take a look at their priorities again. If it weren't for the user-base, many of you wouldn't have jobs.
