You can have and get good items for it for free.
I have a decent aquarium and have not spent 1 penny at all...
You can also buy them in the marketplace.
The prices for most of the those items are and continue to go down...
and to those complaining about having to pay for bad or "cheap looking" items, then if you think they suck so much then don't worry about it and don't spend your real money on them.
If you don't like, then dont buy it.
Simple as that.
You are not being forced to buy crap.

Gone over this before as well. We know we arn't being forced, but the idea that you have to pay either real money, or a s*** load of gaia gold for something is ridiculous. If they're charging for fake fish, they could start charging on other ridiculous things. We want to show them we are not going to stand for this BS. If the new MMO comes out and the best features are cash only, I'm sure that'll get plenty more people riled up about this. So in short, no, we're not forced to buy it, but on a free site, this is crazy.

But I will say that the increasing items appearing in the Cash Shop is a bit too much and I myself don't like it much how more and more evolving items are coming out the way they are.

I hate you. Yoou are turning into a money-sucking, greedy, wanna-be myspace piece of CRAP. You have gotten me addicted to gaia cash and now I can't buy that pair of shoes I realy want. I like the whole aquarium idea but you are beeing a complete and total b***h by only allowing us to buy aquarium items with cash. I also hate the fact that you are sugesting we buy it from the cash-only items from the marketplace with gold because it means you ready dont give a ******** about how had the users work to get the ******** gold. Like I've said millions of times, gaia, you suck. I dispice you with my whole 2003-user self. Oh yes, I'm a user that has supported you since 03.
