1, Add the fishing fishes! (this is the only reason most of wanted this feature)

Ok so we petitioned like crazy for this (I myself made a petition so I know this was a wanted feature) It started when the fishers became bored of just hats. We wanted a way to show off our fish and see them swim merrily around a tank.

How it can be implemented: In the store Phin Phang make a feature where you 'prepare caught fish' this I'm confident will be fairly simple to implement as it is swapping a fishing fish for a tank fish that looks the same but will be drawn in the aquarium art style, that cant be too hard.

GIVE US A WAY TO SHOW OFF OUR HARD EARNED FISH!

2, Have Phin Phang a GOLD AND CASH shop

Whilst I Know you need to make a profit etc they way you have made this feature pay to pay is sickening! You need to release some basic decorations and fish that cost gold too keep us happy and act as a gold sink. GOLD SINKS ARE NEEDED and this is a prime opportunity.

Rundown: Gaia cash should be used to ENHANCE the game not to bloody play it. You can have special fish, special food, special items and all manner of shinnys that people will want to buy to ENHANCE their experience!

3, Life span problem

Ok they either:
a) Shouldn't die,
b) Shouldn't die unless you like NEVER feed them.
c) Should have an AFK feature - people will need to go on holiday sometimes and its hardly fair if their fish die (this would start from a week up so as no cheating would take place)
d) Cash fish shouldn't die. (gold brought ones can but must have a good reason)
e) Have a magical fish/item to increase life expectancy in the tank to a long time or ever.

Fishes we want.

1, All the fishing fish - this would be an exchange maybe with a 1-5g fee per fish? -Good gold sink and this IS the main reason we wanted an aquarium!
2, EVOLVING FISH - GC - people WILL pay money for these and they would add uniqueness to the tank it would be brilliant
3, Angelic / Demonic fish - GC - people are willing to pay for these babies - immortal
4, WATER MEAT - GC - people would go dam crazy and this would get a lot of money coming in (i know i would be willing to pay around $3-$5 dollars if they were immortal)
5, Other gaia related fish - GC - e.g. Gweehorse, Cocofish, Kikifish etc -immortal - lots of money in these babies too
6, Mythical sea creatures - Gold or Cash - either way people want them
7, Tropical things like seahorses, sea dragons, jellyfish, turtles etc -GOLD
8, River fish - GOLD
9, Glow in the dark fish? - Cash or gold
10, Simple tank fish - GOLD - anything you find in a pet shop

Side notes:
Is it an item? NO THEN REMOVE IT AND THE CLAM FROM OUR INVENTORYS :stressed:

I too think it is udderly rediculous to only have the items available for cash.
This in turn makes it almost impossible for people to buy them. What about the people who don't have the resources to buy cash cards or who live in areas that don't sell them? I know there's an option to buy directly from the site but that returns them to the first problem.
Not everyone has the means to buy cash. That just provides a dis-service to alot of the gaians on this site and it's pretty much a slap to the face to alot of loyal gaians. The site crew should really take a look at all the forum topics and posts that have popped up about this and take action to make it a fair and fun add on for everyone.
If not, gaia will see a decline in users simply for the fact that gaia states so proudly that it's a free site with the option to pay for valuable items, now they're making something that you HAVE to pay for to enjoy. GAIA DON'T SELL OUT! Keep it simple and accesible to all. I'd hate to see the day that we have to pay for premium memberships.

Since the only way (currently) to get fish is with GC in Phin Phang (I'm not counting the goldfish in the DC), why not have the Overseer thing grant you Cash instead of gold that cannot be put towards sustaining the tank population/decorations, etc?

Yes yes, you can buy things in the MP (for much more than the crappy 30g mine just gave me), but it would make more sense to get cash out of the oyster than gold, given the whole setup of how Aquariums are running.

I really like this suggestion...I personally think that it should be tweeked a bit...maybe make it like the tickets? Gold Mountain is Tickets and the Aquarium have its own little sustaining payment system, that way neither gold or cash are involved and we would have a new way to focus play? whee Just a thought ninja You know...so you can get fish happy gradually like a real game than like all at once cause you buy everything all at once, taking the fun out of the game...

I, Da-ku-chan, will sign b/c of what everyone else said. people have other things to do with their money (ie gasoline for cars) and buying virtual fish will not help pay off for gas (for example).

These fish are costing tons of gold that none of us have. (In the marketplace, things have added up to 15 to 20k). These cash-based items are getting more and more expensive, and it's plain absurd. I am one of those teens with a part time job, and I'm not going to spend what money I do recieve on little fish that will die in a matter of days.

Furthermore, the mere 30 gold we collect after spending countless gold/cash is very unsettling. It's just like saying, "Give me five dollars, and I'll give you a nickel." Besides the fact you have to SPEND five dollars for 500 cash (which is not even close to enough for some of the other cash items), they have now decided that they must get money any way they can.
